Got scheduled for an appointment at 8am. Showed up for the appointment at 8 on the dot and the door was locked, so I went back to my vehicle to wait a few minutes. Looked on ****** AND on the website to check hours and both claimed that the clinic didnt open until 8:30, so I waited until then, and was turned away because I was late even though the doors werent open at 8 and the site didnt claim they were open. The attendant was overall unhelpful and claimed I shouldve come up at 8:15 and essentially blamed me for this.

INSURANCE FRAUD My money grubbing, inexperienced psych nurse billed my insurance an additional $175 FOR ASKING ME, "What do you do to self-care?" I spent under a MINUTE answering but I later saw the code she used says a minimum of 16 mins counseling:90833-APN IND PSYCHTX W PT AND/OR FAM W E/M (***** MIN)This is fraud. When I sent her an email asking why she'd billed the add'l $175 she directed me to BILLING!! Billing redirected be back to her and she finally quoted the GUIDELINES FOR THE CHARGE, not the actual thing she supposedly helped me with. She is committing insurance fraud.POOR COMMUNICATION The only ways I have of reaching my psych nurse is via their hotline or their portal. The hotline is rarely answered and the portal is usually down.INCOMPETENCE IS COSTING ME MY PHYSICAL HEALTH My psych nurse just graduated end of 2022 and knows very little about medications. At every visit, I watch her read like a robot directly from her computer screen to treat me. When I started with her, I told her I made it clear I wanted to titrate off a certain med which was impacting my health (my thyroid is shot) and I didn't want it to damage my kidneys too. A few months later she was unwilling to transition me to another med bc "You're doing so well." Now my kidneys are beginning to fail and she doesn't know how to address this. When I wanted a bit of guidance on dealing with family members, she coldly said, "This is why you need a therapist. I'm not your therapist." (But months later, when she realized it was lucrative for her, she asked me about self-care & billed $175 - see first paragraph above).Lifestance is a cold conglomerate taking over the business of psychiatry for profit; I believe they're counseling therapists to overcharge. Their portal is a mess and their hotline is gravely understaffed. I am currently looking for a real psychiatrist.

I didn't have a total cost of services until after my appointments. If I had known I would owe 700 dollars, I wouldn't do it. Now I want to kill myself more because I'm f****** broke and the therapy was a bandaid very cool

I wish I could leave zero stars, the staff in the office is incompetent, inept and uncaring just to mention a few. When it was PsyCare, it was a totally different atmosphere there. The people in the office were very nice and the billing department knew what they were doing. None of this is true anymore. The only good thing that Ive gotten from there is the excellent care from *******************************. Ive been her patient for eight years so because of that I would never go anywhere else as long as shes there.Their customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever come in contact with. They are rude and that is if you can even get a person on the phone without waiting for hours. They tried to tell me that my ******** is my secondary insurance. That is absolutely incorrect. No one in the country who has ******** as a secondary. It is always a primary and this woman argued with me stating that Blue Shield is primary and ******** is secondary. Thats a good example of they dont know what the h*** theyre talking about. Theyre dealing with people who have mental issues so its extremely important that they should handle the people with at least in a polite manner. This never happened until lifestance took over PsyCare.*******************************

I booked an appt and the counseler had to reschedule because of an emergency but they continue to send me a bill for ****** even after I have talked to billing. I've never met with anyone. I even have insurance so I shouldnt even have to pay this if I actually met with someone. This is the worst conpany.

ZERO RATING-they have over $1,000 of our money we cannot get anyone to respond to our calls we have called corporate billing and only allowed to leave a voicemail that ***** responds to Told it takes ***** weeks to get a check for refund Noone can tell you if that check is being processed or where it is in the process.Love how the response from the company is the same response for all these critical complaints on here. We were told our money would be sent to us from a rep there. Got great response the first few emails discussing our credits due. Once it was processed and they owed us money, they said they just will apply the credit to our account. But we just wanted the check. They will not send it. I have 25 emails and no responses. This company is as bad as Xfinity! They are thieves, preying on consumers.

Unethical and unprofessional therapeutic guidance, 0 is more like it.This therapist contributed to the lack of trust of others my daughter was attempting to work through. While, in therapy my daughter was dealing with a recent breakup, where she felt tricked and used by the gentleman. When my daughter expressed to the therapist (JG) wanting to get emotional revenge on the person, ** stated, "if you need to get it out of your system." As a parent I am thinking wait what, what happened to paint, draw, grow flowers or journal. Also, this therapist knew the young man was physical with my daughter, where he left bruises on her arm, something we just found out. Not to mention, on multiple occasions this therapist was on her phone while facilitating therapy sessions with our daughter. My daughter said to me, Mommy, maybe my problems werent that serious to her. How, how, do you create a space where your client internalize your unprofessionalism and failure to be present. We're asking, is this the service we were charged $1,000, more or less for, absolutely unacceptable.Humana military needs to vet services offered to military/vets much better. We are outraged, hurt, annoyed, and nervous for our daughter returning back to campus at the end of August. We are sharing this, hoping no one else receives similar therapy, my daughter deserved so much better. People seek additional support and guidance, especially when theyre hurting, as Professionals you know better, so do better.

I've worked here nearly two years as the only admin team member in my office which in my opinion is a safety hazard considering the population we work with and I've mentioned this multiple times to management to no avail. Turnover rate of new hires both provider and admin staff l is high Also processes and procedures are CONSTANTLY changing with little to no communication providers being told it's admins staffs responsibility to do things admin staff being told it's the providers ZERO communication. Constantly on the phones making completing other tasks difficult, but if you take a moment away from the phones to get anything done like collections or calling a patient back you have a manager messaging you yelling at you to get back available on phones.I've had angry patients come into my office physically yelling needing a manager and been completely unable to get in contact with one until well after I've managed to semi remedy patient concerns and offer calls back(which I'm nearly positive don't happen most times)Management is just not caring in general about employees we're just bodies at a desk to them it seems Robots with no feelings or needs..I've straight up told my regional manager that I need a mental health day or two that I'm so burnt out and really needing more assistance in office only to be told that we admins OVER REACT. I've even witnessed the director of operations saying that providers are spoiled and I've heard her actually naming specific providers calling them derogatory names...... and the patients? Well they're just dollar signs. Lifestance couldn't care less about the mental health of anyone in my opinion.

I'd like to start off by saying my therapist with Lifestance is phenomenal. Genuinely caring, insightful, and just great at what she does. That being said, the Lifestance billing department is terrible and aggressive with how they approach you, hence the 1 star review. My insurance info recently changed, and I was expecting some kind of statement or explanation of new charges via email or at least on their patient portal once they had processed the claims using the new insurance. I had paid my previous statement balance on May 23 (as soon as it became available), and I'm writing this review on June 12, so I was assuming I would receive another statement with the new charges based on the insurance changes.Instead, I get a call from billing an hour before my appointment on June 11, asking for payment for an account balance and suggested by the end of the call that they would have sent this to collections if I did not immediately pay, despite having FULLY PAID MY STATEMENT BALANCE, ON TIME, less than a month ago and every month before that, sometimes paying more than once during a statement period. There was also no statement on my portal, email, or any other notification before this call with the threat of getting collections involved.I would have had no problem paying this once my new statement rolled around, as I had done before, but the way they approached me was absolutely unprofessional and unreasonable. Threatening to send a bill to collections for a client that has paid on time every single time BEFORE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT WAS EVEN MADE AVAILABLE is just absurd. To add to this, if you try to call them for anything, you will be on hold for a very long time, and if you hang up and wait for a call back (like their system tells you you can do), you never will get a call back. They also do not respond to messages in their patient portal or respond to emails. They will get a hold of you very fast for your money, though...Stay far away if you can.

This review is about LifeStance the company NOT the therapists! I don't think I have ever had to write a more scathing review about a company. I wish I could give negative stars! First, as mentioned above, this review is NOT about the therapists employed by LifeStance. My two daughters (13 and 9 now) have been seeing the same therapist for 3 and 1 year(s) respectively and she is AMAZING! I found her when the company was previously Apple Counseling and under that company everything was smooth sailing - I never had a problem. Since LifeStance took over about a year ago everything has been complicated and become a TOTAL NIGHTMARE! Of the number of things that have gone wrong, they didn't get my insurance information correct even though I sent them a copy of my insurance card. They said there would be a receptionist available to greet us for our appointments and the person went from rarely being there to not being there at all and now there's just some number you call if you need assistance. Oh, and don't call them. You won't get anyone on the phone. I was just on hold for 20 mins waiting to talk to the billing department because I have no confidence that the system will "hold my place in line" and I'll get a call back. Fingers crossed, though, because after 20 mins I gave up thinking someone would answer my call. This after I sent them a message on their patient portal over a week ago about them overbilling me and no one responded. When I missed one payment they unscheduled ALL my daughter's recurring appointments. Meanwhile, they have overcharged me $200 and now no one wants to talk to me. Many of the therapists who were with Apple Counseling have left since LifeStance took over and I can only imagine that the poor way in which this is now being managed by LifeStance is a large part of the reason. My children love their therapist and that is the sole reason I continue to put up with LifeStance's nonsense.
