SCAM!!!!!!!!! Zelle is complete trash. Far better off using PayPal, cashapp, fb pay, or direct bank to bank. This company seems to be making a ton of money off of other people and offering no type of protection or compensation when for some reason the funds just disappearEarly Warning

It's honestly just a garbage app, it seems like it picks & chooses who is actually able to send/receive money. The worst part is sure, it could be dictated by your banking establishment - but if you're going to have an app for your service, you could actually allow people to download it and not go through their banking app to see if that works. Customer support is non-existent and it gives general errors with no information on what's wrong or how to fix it. In a world where you have *******, *****, or even ******** *** this is by far the worst app and I will never recommend using it to anyone. If I worked for their company I would be extremely embarassed.Early Warning

Zelle's boilerplate responses on here make a few claims that do not seem accurate to me. For example: "It is important to note that Zelle does not hold or handle any money. Zelleprovides messaging between the senders bank or credit union and the recipients bank or credit union to facilitate the payment between the two bank accounts, but Zelle does not initiate or process the payment directly."A friend has tried to send money to me via Zelle. Four or five days later they got around to processing that transfer, and took the money out of his account. The money was gone, with no way to cancel the transaction, yet it was not given to the recipient (me). If Zelle does not hold money, where did the money they took go? The sender's bank doesn't have it. My bank doesn't have it. The best my bank can give me is that it will probably be available to me six days after the money was removed from the sender's account. If Zellel doesn't hold money, where is it?"If you are enrolled with a participating bank or credit union, please contact their online customer support team for assistance."The bank in question ************* says that they have ability to complete or change any Zelle transaction. I have spoken to them multiple times, and even though they know a transfer is due to take place, they cannot touch the money. They say only Zelle can complete the transaction. Yes, when I try to contact Zelle, there's no way to talk to someone or review the transaction. The recording simply says to hang up and call my bank. Who can't do anything. Because Zelle won't let them. Please treat money given to Zelle like you would money gambled at a slot machine: If you can't afford to lose it, don't let go of it.PS: Oh, and this little farce is costing me about 500 dollars, and that's even if they ever get around to delivering the money they took. Not a lot for many, but for me it hurts.Early Warning

Not yet ready for prime time. Advertised as ****************...like many apps out there or crypto. 5 days later, no money. No way to contact customer service from **********************. My bank was pretty confused and seemed to be saying zelle is a black box (black hole). When someone takes money and states they will deliver in minutes and then does nothing for five days AND you are unable to contact them, the assumption is they are inept dolts or are engaged in fraud. Considering the ownership of this organization, I'm thinking fraud. Contacting the *************************Early Warning

10/13/23 opened acct so I could use Zelle for my dad Sign up process is a joke - signed up on 10/13/23 & rcv'd a welcome ltr from my bank stating I could now use Zelle to send/receive $. Email doesn't even remotely imply that there are any further steps to be taken in order to use Zelle. My dad sent ***** kept rcving an email telling me to enroll in Zelle within 10 days. In Zelle, NO further instructions. All looked ok. 3 days later, the deposit was cx'd & sent back with no explanation. I finally found a teeny line that told me to enroll my email addy to complete reg. I did, & my dad was able to send 2 small amounts - rcv'd on 10/18/23 10/19/23 my dad's next deposit was immediately declined & sent back to him with a msg to me that there may be suspicious activity on my acct. After being transferred back & forth from my bank who said I had to talk to Zelle who said I had to talk to my bank, etc to 8 diff people, & only that the fraud "sensor" "may" have been tripped bc my dad is 72. The guy literally said that old people just don't use the computer. HOW OBSURD!! I was told to wait 24 hours for the alert to fall off 10/20/23 my Zelle was still locked, & Zelle deactivated my entire bank acct, debit card frozen...everything! I had to miss work (is Zelle going to pay me for the day I missed?). to go to the branch in person & was told the acct was locked as a "precaution". NO, precaution is sending me a msg like every other *** does when fraud is "suspected" asking me if the sender is ok. A lockout without any inquiry is decisive ACTION. I never had a chance to confirm or deny what Zelle thought was fraud! I was told the lock should clear by 10/24/23 10/25/23 still locked called...again. This time: the assigned agent failed to remove it & left early that day, that only she could remove it, & that I would be notified within 24 hrs that it was clear 10/30/23 Zelle still locked, & on hold for an hour and a half. I am so livid I wish I could give negative stars.Early Warning
