      I've sent 3 money orders to progressive, hand delivered payment cancelled the insurance then they wanna cash the money orders but only repay one. As a refund

      On Oct 1 2022, ********************* used my car to get me groceries as i was sick. Leaving the establishment, he had a fender ****** with another car. There was no ticket, no points and FL is a no fault state. A claim was filed and I was contacted by progressive. We spoke about the issue and the rep asked if I'd like to add ***** to my insurance in case he needs to use the car again in the future. I agreed. The rep never mentioned how much that would be. I later find out that it would increase my premium $5,000. I called to confirm and was told this was true and my next payment would be $*****. I can't afford that so I asked if I could cancel. I was told to be sure to get coverage first so that there is no gap and then call to cancel. I did as was instructed. When i called to cancel, i was told that I still had to pay the *****. I was not informed that if I cancel, id still have to pay $*****. If I'd known that, why would I pay over $500 to AAA and then pay $***** Progressive? I would have just stayed with Progressive. It's not fair, I was never properly informed of anything and I know they record calls so they can verify what I am saying is true.

      I received a notice that I have a collection from PROGRESSIVE IN on my credit report. It says it was opened on 10/04/2021 for $0.00 with account number starting in ************ that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the **** and FDCPA.I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.
