1 starAh, Disneyland, the magical kingdom where the only spell cast is on customer service, transforming it into an art form of disappointment. Here, an F in hospitality doesn't deter the masses; it's practically a badge of honor. My adventures in this enchanted land have been nothing short of disastrous. Picture this: a special event, half the park off-limits, yet the ticket prices remained as lofty as the *************. Not a discount in sight. Another visit saw us elbow-to-elbow in a sea of people, courtesy of a celebrity gathering. The experience was less "happiest place on Earth" and more "quickest exit strategy".But wait, there's more. I once shelled out a small fortune to give my team the Disney experience, only to face an interrogation over a simple request for disability accommodation. The inquisition was public, demeaning, and left us feeling like villains in our own story. They practically suggested a scavenger **** for those needing a bit more patience and understanding, with options ranging from navigating unfamiliar wheelchairs to embarking on a two-part journey for each ride.Disneyland: where the lines are long, and the understanding is short. Despite having a genie pass, we still found ourselves bound by the tyranny of wait times, extending our stay just to ****** our last ride.Attempting to voice a complaint? Brace yourself for a response time longer than their parade routes, courtesy of their "boutique-sized" customer service team.In the end, if your needs are straightforward and your patience infinite, Disneyland might just be your cup of tea. After all, it remains a beloved destination for many, untouched by the reality of its own making. One has to wonder when a false advertising class action lawsuit will be filed and what the outcome will be.Review fromFeli c

3 starsDisneyland has always been the best place. I have had an annual pass there since I was 9. I do feel it has lost a lot of its magic since there is not a single day you can go without it being at max ******** it feels like. I also feel that the expectation of working style that used to be in place isn't there anymore. My sister and I went to Disneyland with my 4 month old niece, and we could not enter really any food establishment with a stroller unless we got a special tag saying that it was equal to a wheelchair... which for a 4 month old baby I guess it is since they cannot stand or sit on their own. We went got the tag at Guest relations and then we had the same problem.. we were trying to go and grab a drink (even though it is considered a wheelchair at this point) we could not walk up to a bar and ask for a drink. ITS A 4 MONTH OLD BABY! anyway... I will still always go and will always love it but it has definitely lost its magical touch.Review fromNakia B

1 starSeveral rides were broken down, I spent ****** dollars on our tickets for my daughters birthday. The Christmas parade was also canceled which she was eager to see. Ive been to Disneyland several times and always had a great experience. I dont know what happened but this last experience was devastating. ************** was not working, ******************, The log ride, and ***************** were just some of the rides that were not working. I can go on.If I could I would give this rating zero stars its sad that we also left early do to no rides to get onReview fromBrian L

1 starOn 9/12/2023, I went to the Oogie boogie bash. During this time, my 4-year old wanted to have a balloon. I purchased it. One of the employees bumped into me and ripped it off from the stroller. Supervisor ******* got me a yellow ticket and said it would be best to get the new balloon on the way out.Around 10:15 we started to make our way out of the park. When we got to the entrance, I didn't see any balloons. I asked a employee, after 5 different times and walking all over the park, the finally pointed me to Gust Relations. They told me due to their systems; they are unable to get me a balloon. I ask for a refund, they stated they can offer a refund. We ask to speak to a manager. ***** the manager at the guest relations came out. This time my wife explained the story for the 6th time. She went on how your cast member, on accident, "popped the balloon" though it was more of flew away. My wife requested a new balloon, as my 4-year-old was request it. ***** stated due to system limitations, they are unable to get us a balloon tonight. My wife said then can we get a gift card to get a different gift in the store. ***** stated no. She went on to state that we can get a voucher next time we come to Disneyland. We explained again that we only come here once a year if that, ***** said that is all she can do, with no apologies. At this time, my wife lost it. After all this is Disneyland. The company we talk about how high their customer services. My wife stated, Do you hear yourself? We bought a ***** balloon; your employee popped our 4-year-old balloon. And now youre stating you wont provide a refund or different gift? ***** stated that is correct. The problem is your cast member stated there would be a balloon for us at the front gate when we left. This wasn't the case. I was extremely frustrated. Not to state how time and time again rides would breakdown after being in line for over an hour with no compensation of a fast pass or any other issue (a whole other topic)Review fromMariane M

1 starI have renewed my kids magic key in the hopes of continuing their key in a Lower tier level. I didnt renew mine because of travel plans and also thinking that their inspire key is available for purchase, I was thinking of purchasing at a later time. So now they discontinued sale of passes and now I cannot go with my kids at all and only option is to buy tickets. Tried calling them but I was told I have no option but to wait for passes to be available which they cant even tell me when. Pretty disappointed for not getting any help. I hope Disneyland can at least consider helping families better.Review fromChloe S

1 starIm currently waiting for the tram after security before even entering Disneyland, and I already felt the urge to complain - Im not usually a big online complainer. Im a huge Disney world fan, this is my first time to Disney Land, and ** already disappointed. We researched bag policies and maps of the park / garage before we came, but we still managed to get all the way up to the security screening point without knowing you cannot bring vapes into the park. The policy online is misleading, and says there are designated smoking areas, but once youve gone through the entire parking garage and waited all the way through security, THEN theres a big sign that says no vapor products allowed in the park. I was told to either bring it back to my car or throw it away. Then the castmember said, And dont be stupid and try to hide it somewhere, cause theres cameras everywhere, in a pretty rude and condescending way. Ive also been talked to like that by other castmembers already, and we arent even inside the park yet. At DisneyWorld, castmembers literally treat you like royalty, so it was really jarring what she said and the way she said it.ALSO - they dont let you know that once you get through security, there are no bathrooms. So, my 6 year old, who was waiting on the other side of security while I got rid of my vape, of course had to pee while I was gone, so then the rest of my family had to go through security again too. Took us TWO HOURS to get from the street before the parking lot to the tram in the parking garage. With so many little kids, there should be signs that tell you theres no bathrooms past a certain point.Review fromAngel V

1 starThe reason why I do this review is that I have felt discriminated against by Disneyland. I've been trying to purchase tickets online for 3 days and they are not accepting payment with my debit card giving me an error that I used another card but they do not give the reason for the error and it is not due to lack of funds, despite use another card the same error. Disneyland made a reservation for my family and me, but the payment would only be made the same day at the box office and with the notice that prices could go up, something that seems unacceptable to me since the mistake of not accepting my payment method is from the website or the company. Despite having communicated with more than 5 different people in customer service, they all gave me different excuses but in the end no one was able to avoid my complaints, and even more so when I asked to cancel the reservation that they had made me with the condition of paying At the box office, they made no effort to prevent the cancellation and further investigate why the website was not processing my payment. This is how Disneyland in California works, they don't care about the visitors and many who visit their parks for the first time, taking away the illusions of two girls who are my nieces..Review fromEfrain R

1 starAs a person who has taken my kid to Disneyland at least once a year and some years have had a season pass for her, i am very disappointed with my latest experience and the response that i received from customer service. I booked online since you can't book over the phone. I went through the booking process and multiple times i tried to add parking and the Genie+ option and the purchase amount wouldn't go up at all. Since the website didn't appear to be adding the options i figured i could add them later in the process or call customer service to add them. They were never added to my order through the online so immediately after my order i called customer service. They told me that it was too late to add the items and that they would probably be more expensive at the park. They also told me that the only way to try to add those items again would be to upgrade all my tickets to add more than two days or to make them park hoppers. I feel extorted. Particularly coming from such a huge company that makes crazy amounts of money. I never expected this from Disney.Review fromVanessa N

2 starsAs a previous *********************************** fan, I am writing this review hoping that it will be noticed & that Disneyland can be what it used to be. Went to Disneyland last week with SoCal deal, but what I thought was a deal was a bust. Going to Disneyland meant you were on your best behavior, everyone was happy and people were nice. You dressed decently, it was a place of innocence and magic. You would leave enchanted. Now it reflects the deterioration of society. Guests: profanity (even displayed on clothing), revealing distasteful clothing, line-cutting (saving spots in line), & other rude behavior. Staff: unforgiving, unapolegetic, unhappy, unfeeling, unkind, & programmed. They reminded me of NPCs on a video game. Might as well share your concerns with a wall because the employees have canned answers & they don't go past their trained responses to ease your frustrations. Entertainment: Constant ride breakdowns, cancelled shows, cutbacks on ********************** Disneyland never had any trash laying around, not anymore. My husband even stepped on horse manure in the middle of Fantasyland (I hope it was just horse manure). CROWDED! Even when it was supposed to be "Hey, it's alright" or "Ghostown" (for those that check on when it's best to visit). There are many theories of why the parks are more crowded, but I believe it's due to the change on the fastpasses, ride breakdowns, cancelled shows, & lack of entertainment. If guests have nowhere to go, they wander around or crowd the lines of the rides that are working, making the lines super long. It was just all around unpleasant. The only up side for us, after spending about $2000 in three days, is that there are a few new or upgraded rides. Because I'm an optimist, the silver-lining in this trip for me was that we may have gotten a last glimpse of Disneyland before it becomes completely unbearable.Review fromMatasha M

1 starI upgraded my sons, and I magic key passes. I made sure I had the inspire, and he had to believe. Reason being, I needed parking on the pass. I called them today because I realized that my son has the inspire and I have the belief pass, which is the one below the inspire. I called them to see if they could switch the passes around to where I have the highest he has the lowest now theyre saying they cant that I have to pay $500 to upgrade to the one my son has. It was an honest mistake on my part. ***** that they cant do anything about it. Really disappointed.
