Constantly having issues with system not working. Then we keep having them try to sell us additional unnecessary equipment saying it will help it work better.

On April 18, 2025, I was charged $1,272.00 by Nexgen Air Conditioning for a refrigerant recharge and diagnostic service. A significant portion of this charge$848.00was attributed to 2 lbs and 15.5 oz of R-22 refrigerant, which breaks down to approximately $424.00 per pound. Based on industry research and quotes from other licensed HVAC professionals, this cost is highly inflated and exceeds standard market prices by more than $900.During the service call, the technician aggressively pushed for a full system replacement, which I declined in favor of a basic repair. At that point, the technician became unprofessional and disengaged. Despite choosing to move forward with the repair, I was billed excessively for refrigerant and other services.Since the appointment, I have attempted to contact the company 23 times per week in an effort to speak with a service manager. I have not received a single return call. On April 24, 2025, a Nexgen representative offered a $300 credit over the phone. I declined, as the overcharge was nearly triple that amount and my concerns regarding service quality were never addressed.I believe Nexgen significantly overcharged for the amount of coolant used and failed to provide a professional and ethical service experience. Their lack of communication and unwillingness to address the issue reflects poor business practices. I am seeking a full resolution and refund for the overcharge amount and ask that others be cautious when doing business with this company.

***** came out today to service our unit. ***** was incredibly professional and worked swiftly. I mentioned my baby was sleeping, and he worked quietly to ensure the baby doesnt wake up! Really appreciate how ***** updates me with what he was doing and what he found. NexGen is the best! The only company *** used the past 5 years.

I have been working on resolving outstanding issues with Nexgen for most recent services and issues that developed this past year. I discovered that the installation of the metal covers over the electrical of was not secured well going into the attic resulting in a rodent infestation. Upon an inspection by my exterminator an opening was discovered that had not been properly sealed. The cost to remove and clean the attic is $4500. I have been promised that management would call to resolve this issue along with another pending issue to replace the on/off switch on my furnace which they broke upon moving it into the attic upon installation of my ac unit. That issue alone has been going on for over one year plus, and still not resolved. Currently no one can work in the attic until the rodent issue is resolved. As a business owner myself, I find this is the worst management I have ever encountered. Not the same company after being bought out in 2023. Lastly, I just purchased my new water heater through them. Come to find out they third partied that out to **********. I feel my only resolution at this point is small claims court.

They sold an a/c heating system to my 93 year old mother for &******. The house is 1350 sq feet. She couldnt get credit so theyve added $700 a month to her property taxes. When I found this out I called 3 times to speak to a manager and have not heard a word from them. I am so frustrated and dont know what to do. They took advantage of an elderly woman with no remorse.

Background: My AC started blowing warm arm first & then suddenly stopped. Apparently, thats a common pattern of symptoms that a capacitor is failing or has already which I discovered after getting several second opinions after NEXTGEN's diagnosis. The quote has language intended to fear ***************** you into quickly accepting their quote. Words like a crack in your heat exchanger is no trivial matter. Its the most common cause of excess carbon monoxide in your home. And another good one it may make more sense to repair a cracked heat exchanger, but it often makes more sense to replace the furnace. They chose not to charge a diagnosis fee.A new version of our existing AC costs ~$3,000.NEXTGEN did NOT check for warranty (all parts they wanted to replace were still covered under warranty). I was careful & got a second opinion from two different companies afterward as well as a family ************* all determined it was 99% a faulty capacitor.NEXTGEN ************* did NOT offer to first try replacing the capacitor or even mention it. No, that would be too easy. Instead, they decided it made sense to replace all the parts (that were working) because thats the minimum that was needed. And what was the quote for all these replacement parts? Compressor $8,415, evaporator coil $6,462, condenser with fan motor $965, line drier $2,065.Almost $18,000 to replace a bunch of fully functioning parts instead of replacing the $18 capacitor. However, *********** said that it really almost doesnt make sense to rebuild my AC at their astronomical price but instead, it would be better to replace the heat exchanger in addition to that for a total of $22,594. So, to recap, ~$23,000 for replacing parts and NOT a new system. I replaced the capacitor for $18 & everything started right up and kept running without issue. Also, NEXT GEN ************* left the yellow HERM wire unplugged for some strange reason. Most likely an attempt to mislead me.

I had water leaking through my ceiling from my AC. NexGen sent out a technician who told me that my 10 year old unit was installed incorrectly and had a myriad of problems. A supervisor came out (late), and quoted me a range of $20,000 to $29,000 for a new unit, depending on the size I chose. When I told them their prices were ridiculous, the salesman became visibly angry and left. Two days later, I had another company out, found out the issue was a loose coupling, and fixed it in less than an hour for $174.31! I wish I had read the BBB reviews before contacting them because I can tell from their ratings that they are not a trustworthy company.

Run, don't walk from this company! I accept my role in this because I actually broke my own rule and accepted a verbal quote from *****, a claimed "master/journeyman plumber", to install a water softener, as well as a shower valve.Unfortunately, ***** (the "inside" guy in this tag team) called as the job was being readied to advise that *****'s quote didn't include any plumbing or electrical hook up. Why should it...after all, water and power flow through houses magically, right?! Bottom line...I'm out $2,600; ***** never followed through on his commitment to return to the job for validation, and ***** couldn't find time to talk to me. When I did finally connect with him, he said he'd talk to his manager(s) & get back with me the next day to try to make it right. The resulting "compensation": I get up to $1,000 off my next job with them. Now that's funny right there! Sure, let me see what else I can bring a business with an apparent lack of honesty and integrity!Roughly 1 week later, I noticed a wet spot at the water main, so I dug it up to find the connection was put on incorrectly. Rather than send out someone to repair it, they sent Quality Control, the only bright spot in this "less than transparent" business model, advising, since it wasn't an emergency (true), he'll send a crew over in 3 days. Noticing a competitors sticker on my new water heater, he let me know he was an ex-************ should only use them - I will! You've got to love the recorded message by their founder, effectively stating his rationale for opening this business was to help people from being ripped off; that there's no need to cheat people. ************************** can't walk their talk, and while I accept my responsibility (trusting), it will never happen again to me, neighbors, family, or friends.
