      Run dont walk away from this company! My son who is an insured party on my policy was in an accident. The other party was deemed at fault for the accident and took responsibility for the claim/repairs. Shortly after the cosmetic repairs were completed there was a mechanical issue that had gone undetected due to a location of the issue. The Mercury adjusters denied the claim of mechanical issue that has cost me over 5K out of pocket.. but will not provide anything in writing! I have asked several times. *** retained an attorney, and will be reporting this unfair and deceptive practice to appropriate regulatory bodies!

      I have never had such a terrible experience with an insurance carrier as much as I have had with Mercury. My car was hit on the back bumper on the freeway while my car was stopped. The police came and completed their report. Over several calls with Mercury, Mercury agreed to pay for the damages. When I drove the car to the repair shop that Mercury recommended, the adjuster at the body shop quote ~$2K for repairs . That body show didn't look under the bumper or anywhere; they underquoted the repair after taking less than a minute to see the car and take ~5 pictures. Immediate concerns arose from the repair shop's quality and that that is recommended by Mercury. I proceeded to the *** dealer and received a recommendation to use *** certified body shops. Note that this was all during Covid when I needed to take care of my elderly parents who are close to 80 years old and the body shops and rental cars require much preplanning since they don't accept walkins. While at the German auto body shop, the quote came out to $4500. Mercury came out and inspected the car and denied the request. Teh adjuster said the repair was not the same repair from the accident. Didn't the adjustor have any sense to easily look at the photos to compare the accident and see that it was the same bumper, same car, and all the details were the same? Now in order to settle, I need to go to civil court and hire a lawyer so that I could get the car repaired and the rental car reimbursed. Mercury is making a mess out of this. I would highly dissuade anyone from using Mercury insurance.

      Stay away from Mercury Insurance Group!Due to ***** back to back rainstorms, and due to a leak on ************* roof, rain got into the carpeted bedroom and severely soaked into the carpet with smelly rain water. Called and opened a Home Owners policy claim back in Jan 17, 2023. An adjuster was assigned and info given to me to contact. Since that day, *** called and left vm as many as 6 times and after complaining another adjuster was assigned. So far Ive called 4 times and left voicemails. No action! I rented a shop vacuum and started vacuuming the carpet to let my 2 elderly sisters be able to sleep. Carpet is severely damaged. Signs of mold has developed. Today is Jan 27th and no action yet!Called my agent for complain. All I was told is that theyre busy! When it comes for collecting the premiums, they dont spare a day to cancel the policy. What a shame. The worst Insurance company. I dont recommend them!

      They are not very responsive. After someone hit my car and I've file a claim through Mercury Insurance hoping that they will work with the other insurance company to help resolve my claim but instead, they do not get back in touch and provide updates. Who knows how long this will drag out!

      The worst homeowner insurance that we experienced. Were first home buyer and we have an issue with the house that can claim to insurance but instead of helping us they doubted our claim and started to asked a recorded questions like interrogation. To make the story short they dont want to help so we decided not to pursue our claim by canceling.

      They canceled my insurance due to them saying they need info o garaging, usage if vehicle, people using. This info has been exactly the same for the last 2 years. Go elsewhere.

      BUYER BEWARE! RUN AWAY! Mercury Insurance is NOT on your side! Mercury Insurance does not pay it's claims! I filed a claim for hail damage to my roof and they sent me a check for 1/2 of my roof. My entire roof is peppered with damage per 2 roofers and a public adjuster and my fence is damaged. Everyone of my neighbors had their ENTIRE roof replaced but apparently it only hailed on 1/2 of my roof. It is shameful that this company does this to their clients. You pay your premium and expect to be taken care of but instead this is how you are treated! SHAMEFUL company. I can't get away fast enough. Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with.

      **** W this is insurance company is a joke they would do any and everything to keep from paying for a claim but want their monthly payments faithfully I would no recommend this company to anyone that is in need. I had a claim November 3, 2022 on a water damage done to my kitchen my counter top is formica top so image the swelling and puckling and this company told me it was pre-existing damages and I wasn't called or told nor have I received a letter saying that they denied my claim I had to go on to the app pull up my account to see that they had closed my account and I was told by my adjuster that I may need to find me another homeowner insurance that is local to me. Ridiculous! When contacting this company to ask about my claim no one knows anything and they are always in a meeting when you would call. NEVER EVER AGAIN ! I wouldn't waste my time or money in using this company to cover anything not even a dog house.

      I filed a claim for roof damage at the beginning of July 2022 as a result of a catastrophic windstorm on June 13, 2022. It is September 22, 2022 and the claim has yet to go through. Both the adjuster and supervisor at Mercury have been extremely unhelpful or communicative on when this claim will be processed. ***
