This gym is overcrowded to the point that personal training is a waste of time and money. You have to wait forever for machines, making it impossible to follow any serious program.Worse, they push you to sign a 6-month personal training package by telling you that you can cancel after the first monthwhich is false. Once you sign, it counts as a sale for them, and they couldnt care less. When I went back to the person who sold me the sessions, he admitted he didnt know the fine print and even suggested I cancel my credit card to block the paymentsthough he warned they might send me to collections. That tells you everything about how they treat clients once theyve made the sale. The gym is well located and the machines are goodbut the experience is not worth it. Avoid if you value your time and money.

I am a disabled, retired senior citizen. On Saturday, April 5, 2025 about 6:30 pm, I approached the towel desk at **********, DTLA, for a towel. But no person was there to serve me. I called out for help but no one responded. I rounded the desk and found towels stacked beneath. I took my usual towel number, but on returning to my workout I was confronted by someone loudly admonishing me. I believe he asked why I was there and I responded because no one was here. He was joined by another loud person insinuating that I had said something negative to the first guy. Both were extremely angry, loud and insulting. I was glad that I was listiening to a *** ****** novel on head phones as this likely dimmed, somewhat, the impact of this verbal assault. I said nothing more, they calmed and I returned to my work out. I've been a member of this gym since 2008 or 2009 and have never been so attacked, berated, disparaged and devalued.***** ******, April 7, 2025

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Coach MC at *********, ********** My name is **** *******, current member of Golds Gym Dear Golds Gym I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the unprofessional and inappropriate behavior of Coach MC at *********, **********. This is the third instance in which he has approached me, alleging that I was slamming the weights. I would like to clarify that I was not engaging in any improper behavior that violates the gyms policies.During our most recent interaction, I respectfully informed MC that I did not wish to engage in conversation with him and asked that he leave me alone. However, as he walked away, he proceeded to loudly make disparaging comments about me in front of other gym members, stating that I do not know how to work out and that I need to hire him. When I declined his services, he continued to belittle me in a public setting.Following this incident, I reported the matter to the gyms management, speaking with ***** and another manager whose name I do not recall. While I was explaining the situation, MC stood nearby, taunting me and continuing to make derogatory remarks in front of other members. Despite my efforts to address this matter professionally, I felt that his behavior was not taken seriously, and I have yet to receive an apology or see any corrective action.I find this behavior unacceptable and completely unprofessional for a gym coach. No member should be subjected to public humiliation, harassment, or unprovoked criticism. I request that immediate corrective action be taken against MC and that I receive a formal apology for this treatment. Please let me know how you plan to address this situation. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.Sincerely,DVP

They made me sign a waiver for the gym - little did I know it was a monthly contract that I never even received a copy of! Shady practice and business. Shame on you to the general manager.

There is no way for the gym to collect your signature on a membership contract without your knowledge. I would need additional information from you to look into this matter. Please send additional details to the email included. Thank you.

Ive joined Golds Gym because of a promotion they were marketing: Refer three members and get three years free. Before starting, I spoke with the manager in charge to clarify the details and set up agreements with my clients to participate. I even offered discounted training to encourage them to join, putting in my own time and effort. However, throughout the three months, I discovered critical information about the promotion that wasnt disclosed to me upfrontdetails that directly impacted my ability to qualify. This information should have been made clear from the start. Despite fulfilling my end of the deal, Golds Gym didnt honor their promise.I later found a loophole that contradicted one of their reasons for denying me credit. The promotion was supposedly for new members, and I paid out of pocket for my clients memberships, which were priced at the new member rate. By their logic, I had met the requirements, yet they still refused to credit me. Adding to the frustration, my clients, who never even used their memberships, were charged additional annual fees on top of what I already paid, draining more money from both their pockets and mine. When I brought these issues to Golds Gym, they avoided me, dismissed my concerns, and left all the responsibility on me

I would need additional information from you to look into your rewards program eligibility. The terms and conditions are clearly spelled out for you when you sign up for the rewards program and we do, in fact, honor the three years free promotion when the criteria is met. Feel free to send me more specific information via email so that I may look into this for you.

I had a terrible experience at Golds Gym. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive, showing no interest in helping me with my issue. I was given false information about their account freezing policy, which caused unnecessary charges and frustration. When I tried to resolve the problem, the employees were unprofessional and unhelpful, making it clear they lacked proper training. Their so-called customer service is non-existent, and I wouldnt recommend this gym to anyone. Absolutely unacceptably

awful gym and awful customer service. I want to cancel my gym membership and they wont unless I pay them money to for a buyout. I never had this problem at Planet Fitness LA Fitness or at **************. I'm not happy with the gym and they are telling me that I cannot cancel unless I"m being deployed to the military or moving or if I'm injured which I would then need proof of all this. I just want to be done with this gym and have them stop charging my membership. This is they worst I had to deal with and they.

The gym has hidden fees when you try to cancel. They'll tell you anything you want to hear when signing up, even though it's all rubbish.
