      Absolutely terrible internet services especially for the cost. Was able to set up immediately but to cancel takes weeks. Very sketchy.

      We own a small business in the ************, ** area and we were looking to switch our internet service from ******** to another operator. When calling around we came across Viasat who could provide the service via satellite. We told the sales *** when we were looking for service that we could not have a delay due to our hair stylists needing the internet up to run their credit card charges. Well, it only took one week for the internet to go down and when I called to restore the customer service *** stated we would be down for one week. This resulted in lost income for the salon and our stylists resulting in us cancelling the service and restoring back up with Spectrum to resolve.Viasat has the nerve to charge us $500 for an early termination when we were the ones losing out on income. Can we sue Viasat for the lost revenue?

      ******** customer service. ********************** expects a customer who is disconnecting service to get on the roof and disconnect Viasat owned parts that are placed there by a trained Viasat technician. If it takes a trained technician to connect the equipment, then the trained tech should also disconnect it.

      One star is one star too many for this company. The absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. **************** is awful and the price is the product is outrageously expensive. This is a predatory company for people who live in rural areas with few internet options.

      I moved to a rural area and Viasat was one of the few options for internet and **** services. Due to word of mouth of Viasat providing better service than their competitor in my area, I went with Viasat. Within six months of the two-year contract, I regretted this decision. The price increased for both internet and ****, a monthly $1 one time fee started to appear, the 911 surcharge started increasing, and services weren't even reliable. Our wifi would go out as soon as the sky got cloudy, even if there is was no storm. I called several times asking about the increasing fees and the consistent one-time fee, but a script was only read to me that stated these were required by law. I finally cancelled once my two year contract was coming to an end and immediately returned the equipment as soon as I received their shipping box. Like others, the company tried to scam me too for not returning equipment. They send an email approximately 1 month and 1 week after you cancel to tell you a $300 fee will be charged for the equipment if they do not receive it by a specified time. I immediately called them with the tracking number of the package (that was confirmed to be delivered one month prior). After providing the tracking number, I was told it was all taken care of now and documented in there system, but we'll see. Viasat is an untrustworthy business due to this being a common practice with customers who cancel their services. Furthermore, the **** 911 service fee for WV went from $3.50 a month to $7.50, which is an over charge. The max amount should be no more than $4 for my area even with the allowed 3% upcharge. I expressed this to them, but again, "It's a federal law." I do not recommend Viasat to others. Consumers beware.

      I cancelled my service as ******** turned out to be a better deal. Received the box to return the modem and a portion of the radar dish. The tracking # showed it was delivered to Viasat in ***** on 8/******* I got an email stating they hadn't received my equipment and threating to send my account to collections for $300.I called customer service. They agreed they'd received the package but it could take a month or longer to process the package and verify the equipment was returned. And the threatening email was auto-generated and is sent to all Viasat customers who ************* not use ********************** as an ISP if you have any alternative. Their service is overpriced, unstable, there are many, many outages ... and now they're threatening legal action for something they admit they've received.

      Wow..I moved and wanted to cancel my services with them. What a pain that has been! I no longer want their stupid services and am willing to pay to get out of my contract but they won't let me! You have to wait for the their billing period to end...so it's at the end and I call AGAIN and I still can't get out of this contract. I have to wait...you would think they would want their money and their equipment back but no...you have to do it on a certain date! You can't cancel in the middle of the billing cycle. Stupidest thing I have ever heard! I don't want any stupid credit or anything...just take my money and go away forever! Not having customer service that speaks good English is also not helpful. I would never recommend them for internet service! Choppy at best and forget it if there is any kind of cloud cover! If you are thinking about them as your service provider all I can say is - DON'T DO IT!!! (disclaimer-I say 0 stars. But BBB made me give them 1)

      When I switched from Viasat to ******** I was sent a box to return their equipment. EVERY item listed to return was put in the box and shipped ***. Months later, Viasat withdrew $159 from my account. When I inquired why they withdrew those funds, they claimed I didnt return the Trian and the power cord. After numerous conversation's, it was confirmed that ALL the equipment was returned and that I would be refunded the money by August 20th. They never refunded my money. Account was hacked August 29th and had to get a new card. Viasat isnt getting my new account for the refund. This is the short version but the incompetence is staggering. They dont deserve one star.

      First off, this was the worst internet I have paid $170 a month for. Second, I moved and couldn't take the service with me (out of my control) and they refused to work with me on the cancelation and immediately hit my card for $300+ dollars. I will never use this internet provider again.
