The company is mortifyingly predatory. I set up autopay on my account in April only to be hounded by calls for 6 months demanding payments. I come to find out in October, they didn't set up autopay and were going to send me to collections for not paying even though this was their mistake. I set up my autopay again on October 26 only for the calls to start back up on November 2, not even ONE WEEK LATER, demanding payment on my account. The phone rep had even told me in October to call back in January to have my card removed from the account or they would continue to charge me $55 a month until I noticed, EVEN IF MY ACCOUNT HAD ALREADY BEEN PAID OFF! I don't know how this company is allowed to operate legally because most of their practices don't feel legal to me.If I had a choice, I would have ordered my brace from Amazon but I almost DIED in an accident and the choice was forced on me. If you have a choice DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE BREG. I am flabbergasted that they are allowed to operate.Breg

I received an inflated charge for a wrist brace from Breg during an *********** visit. I was so surprised when the Breg brace was $250 but yet when I went to the orthopedist to get a better brace it was only $37. Calling Breg and escalating a claim just gave me an email saying that insurance agreed to the contracted rate. They are infuriating in hiding behind insurance "agreement" to a rate that was negotiated and not taking any ownership for setting their overpriced rates themselves. After getting nowhere with Breg I decided to come here and am again appalled at the number of people facing similar issues and how Breg is still operating in this manner. Horrible business practices.Breg

************** As you did not provide your account number, we cannot speak to your specific case. However, anything billed through insurance is always a higher price than being self-pay. If your brace was billed through insurance, there is a contracted rate between Breg and your insurance company. If the amount was applied to your deductible, Breg is contractually not able to offer any discounts or adjustments on that amount. Should you have more specific questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly at *********************************************Review fromBaylee W.

This is a horrible business, and their products are terribly overpriced. You will use a cold therapy unit for a total of 3 times and it mess up, but its not covered under warranty, and they dont offer repairs. You cant even use it for a day my machine was purchased by workers comp insurance, and I have another surgery this month and Im screwed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY BREG PRODUCTS!Breg

Breg has completely failed, clearly the issue is common after reading these reviews. I had a serious knee injury skiing. I was brought to the clinic and giving a brace. The brace sells for $150 on Amazon. I got a bill for over $400 dollars. I then called and asked for an explanation and was told to ask my insurance to cover it. I explained I didnt have insurance at the time but they seemed to think the insurance I obtained after the a accident would cover it. They put a claim in and it was denied(shocker). While this was happening I received another bill for under $400. Once again I called but got nowhere. Nobody knew why or about the new bill I received. After a few calls someone explains that the lower amount was what the insurance was being billed. So insurance companies pay less then an uninsured person. When the insurance was denied, which I knew would happen. I got a new bill for almost $1000. *** called and been told I got charged twice but they couldnt help. Ive been told my account will be review and I will get a call, but I never get a call. Ive been told this is the right price($1000, for a $150 brace) and the other price was a reduced amount because I didnt have insurance. Now they wont give me the $400 because they claim I had insurance because they put in a claim, which I did because breg asked me to. WTF Scam, complete scam breg is taking advantage of people that have to purchase their products under duress at prices they would never advertise or be able to sell their products for. You get nowhere when you call, you get made up answers and you dont get the respect of promised research and calls back.Breg

Dealing with Breg has been a nightmare. Leg brace started falling apart within 2 weeks with both shoe soles delaminating. Tried to find out how to return it, kept getting the recording, then got disconnected. When I finally got a real person, they had no idea how to help me. Now they are telling me since I didn't return it within 30 days, I have to pay it!!!! No way!!! This is a scam!! Run, don't walk from Breg!!!!Breg

Only phone number that works is the automated payment system. Any other possible combination of numbers using their automated phone system leads to a message "serious error has occurred, goodbye", followed by the call being terminated.Speaking to a person is impossible. What a scam of a company.Breg

Billed $600 dollars for a cheap upper arm brace and a basic arm sling from an ER visit. Didn't get the BREG bill till months after. They won't send me an itemized bill after I've asked multiple times. Tried to call them again today and when it tries to connect me to a rep, a error message follows and the call is dropped.Breg

Broke my little toe and went to urgent care. They told me I needed a boot. First of all I couldn't even were it and it was not needed. BREG charged the insurance $400. My insurance paid $204.68 and I am being billed $195.32. Amazon has the same boot for $75.00. this is an outrageous mark up and should be illegal.Breg

The boot is definitely overpriced - $400 for a boot you can get on Amazon for less than $100.Their collection procedures are predatory. I received a bill on Friday, (which I opened Friday afternoon) and a collection call on Monday morning before 8am. Ridiculous. If I ever find myself in the unfortunate circumstance of requiring such a device, I will refuse it if it is a Breg."Customer Reviews are not used in the calculation of the BBB Rating." As many others have stated, their costs are ridiculously high for the product you receive, customer service just reads off of a script and is useless at actually helping you with your problem. I received a very vague bill 9 months after my daughter broke her wrist, and I thought it was a mistake since I had paid all of the costs associated with her urgent care visit and follow up appointments. Nope, they wanted $90 (after insurance) for a wrist brace that costs $15 elsewhere. I have told my orthopedic office about my terrible experience and asked that they find a different vendor for their products. These guys should be ashamed of themselves for profiting off of the healthcare system by exploiting patients when they are at their most vulnerable.Breg
