I placed an order for a chaise lounge with BarStoolDirect.com on December 31, 2022 in the amount of $678.70. The chair was supposed to arrive on January 17, and my credit card was charged. January 17 came and went. I contacted the company to inquire about the status of the chair. They told me there was some issues with the Port and there was a new ETA scheduled for February 6. February 6 came and went and still no chair. I contacted the company again regarding the status and I received the same excuse. The new ETA was now February 21. This continued for another 5 times. ETA dates were as follows: 3/13/23, 3/24/23, 4/4/23, 4/24/23 & 5/10/23.
I cancelled the order on May 1. The company said I would be issued a refund to my credit card. To date, I haven’t received any refund. Before I cancelled the order, they threw me a bone and offered me a 5% discount of $29.86. They also had put the chaise on sale a few weeks after I placed the order. I complained and they refunded me another $81.44. However, I not received the balance of $567.40. The company keeps telling me that the refund was issued on June 2, but I haven’t seen it. I keep calling and they insist that the refund was issued, and I need to take this up with my bank. I requested a copy of the receipt of the refund five or six times now and haven’t received anything. (I’m now having trouble reaching their Customer Service department.)
I contacted CitiBank customer service and was told that there was nothing that could be done because it’s over 90 days. I believe this company knows this, so they string you along until the deadline has come and gone. I truly believed that I would get the chair that I ordered and not be scammed. Also, I just want to note that BarStoolDirect has had this item on their website as available and with 10+ in stock since December. This is outright fraud and theft. They shouldn’t be able to continue doing business this way.Initial Complaint

We purchased 3 chairs on September 16, 2022 in the amount of $744.72. They supposedly were in stock. Received email stating exact shipping date not know. After that I kept emailing for an update and was told it was pushed back. I cancelled the order March 1, 2023. I have called the company and emailed numerous times. Still have not received a refund. Our credit card company denied a credit because it was over 60 days old. Can you get us a refund? More importantly can this companies website be shut down? I purchased a cat litter box for $139.95. After 7 months it had not arrived. So I cancelled the order and they said they would refund my purchase price. They have not done so in 3 months. When I call the number they say they will have to look into it and ask me to wait for a call within 24 hours. This has happened several times and they do not call.Initial Complaint

Ordered two poly wood chairs on 2/16/23 and they never shipped. I would reach out and they would tell me two more weeks and it would never be received. Finally in 4/17/23 and I requested a refund and cancellation of my order. On 4/17/23 I received confirmation of cancellation but received no refund. I ordered an Uttermost Clock in May 2022 and have yet to receive the merchandise. Every time I would request an update on expected delivery date I would be told it was still in a container waiting to be brought to the port. In January 2023 I requested a refund of the $184.80. At first I was told my credit card had received the refund, which was a lie. When I continued to seek more information regarding the supposed transaction with Visa all communication stopped other then their computer generated response that it was being reviewed by their support staff.Initial Complaint

Numerous emails were responded to by stating the delivery date has been pushed back and thanks for my patience. Now several weeks ago I cancelled the order and requested a refund. I ordered 3 stools from this company on November 9, 2022. Order ************ confirmed for LumiSource CHR-CLO WAL+BN Cello Chair × 3 = $525.00. They told me that the stools were is shipping containers in customs. I finally canceled the order on January 31st. They sent me an email saying they would refund my credit card. Since that time I have received absolutely nothing in the way of information about my order. I still have not received my refund of $184.82 for purchase of desk order ******-**** which order was cancelled.

I purchased a Techni desk on Sept 19, 2022, and after not received the product after contacting the company each month (after each contact, I was promised that it would be shipped out in 2 to 3 weeks).
In January 2023, I asked to cancel the order, and I was told that they would. There was an attempt of a refund on Jan 19, 2023, but notes on refund stated that it could not be done.
I have also contacted my bank and filed a dispute with them about said transaction, and the bank told me that due to the age of the transaction they could not help me and to contact the company directly.
