1 star**** STAFF NEEDS CORPORATE TRAINING to be more professional towards their customers.mThis is in regards to the store located at **********************************************************************************************************. I bought blue lenses Oakley sunglasses on 8/29/24. I wiped the lenses and the blue film was coming off. I used a sunglasses cloth and water so I wasn't using any chemicals for the blue film to come off. I went there to return them on 9/4/24 only 6 days later. The customer service lady named ***** was extremely condescending. She asked if I had used them. I answered "No, I wouldn't use them with the large **** stickers still on them." Common sense would imply that they weren't used because the stickers were still intact. ***** then proceeds tomremove the stickers off the sunglasses arms successfully removed one of the small stickers. She then asked me again if I had used them. I said No, I have already answered this same question already. ***** said "Then why are the stickers coming off easily?" I said "Try removing the other sticker (which was the large one and strongly intact) and she couldn't. ***** then still kept implying that I had used them. I had to remind her that as a customer I am well within my return policy rights to return a defective item before 30 days. It had only been 6 days since I bought them. I had a wonderful day and this rude obnoxious ******************* worker had to ruin it by providing terrible customer service. The manager named ***** (I think he is the manager whos always at the front) didn't do anything to de-escalate the situation. Instead ***** kept backing up ***** who was treating me undeservingly rude. I hope nobody has to go through what I did but judging from the other negative reviews of bad customer service across many platforms like Yelp and better Business Bureau from this store, it's bound to happen a lot to their customers unless corporate steps in and trains the staff how to perform good customer service within their company return policies.Review fromChristie C

1 starAbsolutely horrible. The one on churn Creek anyway. ****** who is a cashier was extremely rude no customer service skills whatsoever. **************** is what they're supposed to be achieving and ****** was doing the complete opposite. It's truly sad to say but one of the reasons why I will never be shopping at this **** again is because of her. If she is making me feel like this I'm pretty sure she's making every other customer feel like this too so I hope this problem is addressed (******) before you lose all your customers.Review fromLaTanya B

1 starRacial profiling BLACK people. Me, my mom and daughter stop in the **** department store located Ross Dress for Less ******************************* The two ************************* that stood at the door wearing security vest. Watched us as we were shopping through the store. My daughter pick up a couple pairs of jeans. And took them to the fitting room to try on. One of the security male rushed back to the fitting room and whispered in the employee ear who was working in that area. The Hispanic female proceeded to laugh out loud, then told my daughter that she needs to hang the clothes up on a rack and then she would help her. Now no one else is waiting for assistance. Which I cant understand WHY you have to hand the clothes up just to be assisted. If you can physically see that my daughter has two items in her hand why she needs to do that. Me and my mom had to do the same thing. Hang the clothes up before we can be assisted. I have NEVER shop at any department store where this is required. I come out the fitting room and hand the female fitting room attendant what I did want. She proceeded to ask me what about the other item. I look at her and stated I will be keeping them. Now we are at the checkout. Me, my daughter and mom. The two male Hispanic are just standing by the door watching and talking to each other as my family is checking out no one is checking out but us. As we are walking towards the door they asked to see the receipt and if my daughter can open the bag so they can look through it. They stood at the door, which is adjacent from the cash wrap area. Watching us from the time we entered until we check out. How is this even allowed and why are they selecting BLACK people only ? This is ridiculous and shows that corporate can care less about the people they are hiring and the low level training of staff. This needs to be ADDRESSED immediately. Im going to take this as far as it can go. No one should be treated unfairly because of their ethnicity.Review fromDominic L

1 starI visited the store on ************ and the energy is bad at the door. I shopped for my items and went to check out. I had a pair of girl size 6 leggings and a few other items. At the time I picked up the leggings, I didn't realize they didn't have a tag. So the worker scanned a barcode or punched in a code (can't remember exactly) and the leggings rang up for *****. I told the cashier they were less than that. I believe 5 or 6.99. He stated that the only code or barcode he had available at the cashier desk was for ***** girl pants and that's what he had to ring it up as. Never offered to go get another pair with a tag despite me telling him there were several in stock. Never got on a walkie talkie and asked another rep. Didn't ask the security guard for a little assistance. He just stood there in his plaid flannel pajama pants until I declined the purchase. Very unprofessional.Review fromTyler C.

1 starStore staff at this location **** Dress for Less ******************************************************, are wonderful according to my walk in visit as a customer. However the store manager who's name is **** is not practicing proper leadership among her employees. One of those employees is also my significant other. The store manager made promises before hiring my wife that she would be promoted in 90 days. Once my wife found out it was false she advised that she would be going back to her old job. The store manager just happens to be friends with her previous employers manager. The store manager at **** told the Store Manager at ******** not to hire her back for her own selfish gains at the **** store. My wife called out sick and the store manager proceeded to tell everyone in the store that she called out because she was feeling that sun shiny day sickness. In fact my wife was not feeling well and that is not a judgement call a leader can say or claim to their managed employees regardless if they have PTO or sick time to use. My wife has also not received her paycheck for an entire month because her Manager is failing to enter her timecard information which is a violation of labor laws. To me this feels like employment retaliation and no matter weather it is physical or verbal should not be tolerated.Review fromYvonne H

1 starOn Friday, 6.14.24, around 7:30 pm, I went into your store at ***************************************. I was in there for about two hours. At 9:21 pm, ***** or ***** (probably around ***** years of age), your store manager, announced over the PA that the store was closing in FOUR MINUTES (at 9:25 pm), and if there was anyone NOT in line, they would not be checked out and would have to return the next day to complete their purchase. As if I would even return the next day after being sent away in such a poor manner. But it gets even more appalling and arrogant than this. A customer entered the store at 9:25 pm and this same manager does not lead with, "welcome to ****", or "good evening, how are you"; but instead, blurts out, "the store closes in FIVE MINUTES---you know that, right?" The customer, looking extremely ****** and offended, shook her head as if to say, "AND?". These millennials in retail and/or management are killing customer service rapidly, because they have none. This manager needs some extreme etiquette training, at best. She is not a good representative of front-facing management, period. She does not have a pleasant demeanor at all, as when she checked my purchases out, she did not greet me personally, smile, tell me my total, present any niceties before or after the purchase---she was just obtuse and lowkey rude. Please note that there are other Ross stores that people can and will frequent when she runs them off from this store with her poor decision to close early but even more so outside of that, her poor behavior and speech. Even though it's only 5 to 9 minutes that she is attempting to close early, that is 5 to 9 minutes worth of revenue that **** will not capture because of this manager. That could turn out to be a significant number, if she is allowed to keep up her behavior.Review fromAnya L

1 starYes, we are the only ones to blame..We still go to ****, even though we should not. I would give zero stars if possible. **** is terrible, almost every **** is terrible. No customer service, no staff, no clue about anything. Every customer seems to be a potential thief for those associates. And yes, I also was followed by an female employee, at the store at ************* ***************, **.When it was my turn at the checkout/ return counter, this Lady called no no no, you will come to me.the other register was free, and wanted to check me out. She was not allowed - I had to deal with that ****** rude, unreasonably acting employee. I later learned she was NOT the manager, who later showed up as well. In a very nice manner, the manager ( very young and ***** ) told me, they cannot accepts returns with a slightly ripped tag. I never ever heard that before.Tags are NOT matching the items, tags also dont match the description on the receipt. Tags are not matching the size of the items. But I was told more than once, the tag wouldnt be important at all, just the receipt.I politely suggested, they should check and compare at the time of purchase..That store at ************* in ***************, refused my return- because the tag was ripped just a little bit. They kinda accused me of trying to betray.Hm..firstly the tag is NOT important (so I was told ) secondly everything was matching correctly. Thirdly a tag is often ripped of the product BY their own employees- just while taking off their security devices.Sometimes the tag gets lost at the register ( for above mentioned reasons) or even when home, trying cloth on. Lastly the next store had no issues with my correct returnsRoss has 100 cameras ish per store, and have up to 2-3 loss prevention guys..so why are they obsessed with thinking everybody is stealing ? Empty shelves, dirty stores, not properly organized racks - wrong tags on cloth.Managements need to change - in ALL stores.Review fromRandy D

1 starRacially profiled at their **********, ** location today by a Loss Prevention employee. His name is *** and he made me feel uncomfortable for 1, why is a loss prevention person asking if I need help looking for anything. And 2, why are you solely focusing on me ( a black person ) when there were other customers in the same spot, but you figured I needed some assistance. I wonder how many customers were profiled at this location because if it can happen to me, it can happen to many other customers. And I'm sure this can go as far as a lawsuit. ****, do something about this before it gets out of hand or I involve consumer affairs.Review fromErika C

1 starTags dont match the item youre purchasing and it makes it difficult for the customer to return items. They have twisted return policies and their computer systems are always malfunctioning. ***** number is just as poorly trained as anyone inside a retail store. Depending on the area Im in Ive also been forced by employees to purchase items for the homeless who go inside Ross stores to harass customers instead of asking them to leave.
