Trying to get funds that were owed to my mother's account, who had passed in 2023. It is now 2025 and we are still trying to get the funds. Provided the requested paperwork and spoke to customer services **** every few months. Still "hitting the pavement" trying to get the funds that are due. Would NOT recommend working with this company.Stamps.com

I canceled my account almost a year ago to find out today that I have a charge for $350 on my credit card. They said the most they could refund is $150!! That's a $200 difference!! For an account I haven't used for coming up on a year!!!!! That's absurd!!Stamps.com

Thank you for sharing your concerns, *****. We show that a courtesy refund of $150.00 had been issued on 4/15/25. Rest assured that we have issued an additional refund of $222.33 as a courtesy.
We apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred. We have reviewed our e-mail and phone contact history and unfortunately, we do not show that we have received any form of contact from you requesting cancellation prior to 4/15/25. We do have multiple systems in place to ensure that we have complete records of all emails, chats, letters, and calls.
Were sorry to hear that you havent been using the Stamps.com features and services available to you with your account. The monthly service fee is a flat rate fee that provides access to your account. The fee is not based on usage or activity.
Your service fee is a flat fee that is not determined by how much postage you print.

I did NOT authorize a subscription, I don't even remember making an account ever, but I must have done so a LONG time ago to check out the service. This month, out of nowhere, they charged me a subscription fee. I checked, and I have not even been charged any other month. Just randomly charged this month. I did not authorize it and there is not even a way to stop the subscription service on their website. Luckily, I work with nonprofit legal services and will be speaking to them about this if I do not get a refund and subscription cancelation.Stamps.com

Deceptive onboarding that tricks potential clients into sham subscriptions via hidden terms and pricing. Refuses to give refunds after charging you without permission. Then tells you about their "free" accounts afterwards. These people are scammynat best.Instead use Pirate Ship, the pricing is the same or better with our all the scams thrown on top that steals from small business owners.Stamps.com

The worst company ever to work with. I have not made any purchases or had any account activity on my account with them for 2 years and the took $419.79 out of my account for a subscription that I never signed up for. First the math is not matching what 2 years worth of services would have cost. Second when I called to get a refund they said they could only refund $250 of the $419.79 that they withdrew out of my account and a Manager said to dispute with my bank to get the remaining of the $419.79 since my back paid the bill. What a ************** just go to the post office and buy your stamps. Would never recommend and hope that this company goes bankrupt and has to shut its doors down because ripping off hard working Americans is disgraceful and they should be ashamed of themselves.Stamps.com

I am careful about signing up for any services with a recurring cost and am generally well aware of it when I do. It subscription service should not be a mystery and take as many folks by surprise as indicated within these reviews and which I can corroborate with my own experience. When signing up for this service in December I supplied my credit card information and I expected to do so - how else was I supposed to purchase my desired postage? However, my interaction with the service went little further than that at the time. I saw a charge on my card the following month and knew I had missed something. I had never intended to sign up for a recurring fee or a subscription, so it was immediately obvious that I had missed this.Once I was aware of this, I logged in to correct the mistake and quickly switched myself over to the free plan while grinding my teeth. This is the plan I would have signed up for in the first place - I am not a business nor was I looking to send any more than a single parcel/letter with postage that I didn't have access to. Thinking that I wouldn't have to worry about this anymore I shrugged off the loss and went on my way. A few weeks later I get another charge on my card. I had changed over to the free plan weeks ago though! Of course, of course, they bill at the end of the cycle, and despite me not using the service nor having ever done anything within the website that would warrant a charge, I get to pay the full amount and grind my teeth even more. It seems like an entirely anti-consumer practice though. A charge at the end of a billing cycle is all well and good, but that means anyone who needs to make a change, or has made an accident is on the hook for at least one more cycle at the previous rate for any change to take effect. Given how many people here indicate that they did not know they were signing up for a subscription service, I can only surmise that this too is a way to extract money from people rather than provide service.Stamps.com

Hi ******,
Thank you for sharing your feedback here, ******. We value feedback such as yours, as it helps us continually improve our processes and address any challenges.
We are writing to inform you that we have issued a credit to you in the amount of $39.98. This has been issued to the credit card on file. Please allow 3-5 business days for this credit to be applied to your account. The credit may not be reflected immediately on an online statement. Please allow one full billing cycle to pass before it is reflected on a paper statement.
We appreciate your concerns regarding our fee structure. We always bill at the end of our cycles, so the charges you are seeing are for the previous cycle of service. When a service plan change takes place, the new billing always goes into effect at the end of your next cycle.
Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we are continuously working to refine our processes and enhance the support experience for every customer. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns.
We apologize for any misunderstanding. We hear your concerns and we fully disclose our fees before any account can be created. I am filing this complaint regarding my account with ********************** ([Username: ellefant123!, Customer ID #: *******]). For years, I was unknowingly charged monthly fees totaling $991.44, despite never using the account or even logging in. I only became aware of these charges when the registered payment card expired, and I received an email about a billing issue.Stamps.com never provided regular communication or billing notices during this period, making the subscription charges deceptive and easy to miss. When I attempted to log in to address the issue, I was blocked from accessing the account unless I updated payment details, which raises serious questions: If I am being billed for account usage, why is access restricted? Alternatively, if I cannot access the account, service fees should not apply. This practice appears sneaky and misleading. It aligns with numerous complaints from other users about unclear subscription terms and ongoing charges without their knowledge. For example, on BBB: ****** *. (12/23/24): "They billed me monthly without informing me or sending invoices." ***** *. (11/13/24): "I was signed up for a $20/month subscription without my knowledge, losing over $300." ******* *. (8/26/24): "I was charged $20/month for over a year without knowing I had a membership."The ************************ (***) has guidelines under the Negative Option Rule, requiring companies to clearly disclose subscription terms, obtain consent, and make cancellation easy. Stamps.coms practices violate the spirit of these rules.I request a full refund of $991.44 for unused services, dismissal of the $359.82 balance accrued after the card expired, and immediate closure of my account. I expect a resolution in writing without requiring a phone call to customer support, as that appears to be a delay tactic. This issue is also being shared with **************** and my legal counsel. Stamps.com must address this promptly and fairly.Sincerely,ElleStamps.com
