  I placed three orders and spent over $300. The first two orders had dirt everywhere. Plants are scarred and ugly. The third order was packed slightly better and plants were in good shape. The quality of the plants are hit or miss. I have 5 plants that are etiolated. I was very surprised they would ship plants like that. I have a Haworthia with yellow dying leaves on the center of the rosette. Not old leaves on the bottom. One Echeveria looked overwatered and is down to 3 leaves. I doubt it will make it. After the first order came in, I sent an email asking for my future orders to have tissue put in the pots to keep the dirt from going everywhere and damaging plants. I got an email saying they pack things well. They offered some money back if I had pictures. I wanted my orders packed properly, not a discount. I would have been happier if they had acknowledged the problem and fixed it. I had confidence in this company because I had seen Garden Answer unpack orders from them. My personal experience was different. I have points for $10 off a $50 order. I’m not sure I will order again from this company. Every small seller on ETSY as well as Stark bros and Logees packs the top of the soil with something that keeps soil from going everywhere. This company refuses to. Succulents are permanently scarred very easily so I really don’t understand why this company refuses to do so.

  Bought 5 different Gasteria plants. Four of them looked great, handsome firm leaves (as Gasterias should be) and strong roots, dry loose coir growing medium making it easy to carefully remove some and pot up in 3.5" posts with free-draining soil medium. One Gasteria came unlabeled but by deduction it should be Gasteria 'Mini Rainbow', that plant was very small, soft and a bit squishy and off-color but had a few tiny bright green pups, in less than a day it showed why it was off-color, because the whole thing rotted from within, the pups being attached to main rotting body of plant, I don't hold out much hope to attempt salvaging the pups, they also have rot at the point of attachment. I'd like a replacement or a refund for the rotted-on-arrival plant. Based upon the fine quality of the other four Gasteria plants (three of which had firm multiple pups), I give 4-star rating.

  I am disappointed. Two of my plants arrived broken. A third plant is looking sad, I don't think it will make it. Also, there was more dirt in the bottom of the box, than was in the containers. I have to say, the plants I received are not worth $50.00!   All very healthy and plump. Small but gorgeous plants. Shipping was a bit of a misspotting medium everywhere and one of the Tephrocacti broke into a few pieces. But I guess that is to be expected. I generally repot them anyway, and now with the broken ones, I have more (but smaller) than I ordered.

  Only a couple of things one of which is not your fault, but the delivering of the box, even with the labels saying this end up, was not delivered per those instructions. The peanuts were not water soluble and one of the succulents, the star cactus was in soft rot already, and I'm actively trying to save it, with hopes it did not spread to the others. It looks like the others are doing well and super excited for them to reach their potential.

  Once again Mountain Crest Gardens sent me some gorgeous plants. I never have any concern about the quality of the plants or the shape I will receive them. This company is top notch. You may pay slightly more, but the quality outweighs the price.

  The succulents I ordered were packed with care and extremely healthy little plants. They also provided a printout on how to plant and care for them. I will not hesitate to order from Mountain Crest Gardens again. I highly recommend them from this experience!
