The following is my experience trying to get a **** camera repaired. After paying $334.02 the camera was not only still broken with the original complaint, it now has another new problem where it does not read the SD card.
August 20, 2022 I brought the camera to the shop in person. I explained the problem and asked for an estimate. It was a little difficult to communicate and I wasn't sure the person taking the information understood but chalked that up to maybe a language difference. I was told I should hear back in a few days. I gave it a week and then inquired via email and phone a couple of times before hearing back. The quote seemed reasonable so I told them to go ahead. A month passed with no response to emails or using their online check-in form. I got someone on the phone at one point who said they were "waiting for a part". After a few more weeks I called to ask again to be told the camera was ready (as if they were surprised I didn't know.). Went to pick it up, was told they don't take credit cards which seemed a little weird but for a small shop, I paid in cash (plus they had my camera and I wanted it back!) Took it home, tried it, instantly still does not work in regard to the original problem and now did a strange flickering behavior on top of that. I took it back in to show them - they blamed it on a trigger cable I am using **despite telling them I had tested and used the cable on other cameras with no problem**. But at this point I was pretty nervous about the whole thing and didn't want to give them my camera for another two months and potentially get charged more. So I took it to a **** authorized repair shop which said they could tell the camera had been opened up (a few screws are missing) and that in their testing the entire motherboard needs replacing (which is what the original shop said they did!) My complaint seems to match the others on here and I think this is a scam to charge just enough that people give up.Initial Complaint

In early March 2022 I e-mailed the Camera Repair Center about our issue, and asked if they could repair our ***** *** audio arm. They responded with an est. of ******* and informed us of how they would repair it. We then mailed the part to Camera Repair Center in ******** *** After two months, on May 18, 2022, I emailed to inquire, and they responded by saying the repair (Work Order ***********) was complete, cost was now ******* but they would discount if we paid by check. I mailed check ***** for ******* on May 31. They cashed the check and on June 21, I emailed asking for an update of shipment. They asked me to pay again which subsequently led me to having to show proof that we paid by check, and they cashed it. I emailed for follow ups multiple times, and finally they provided me with a tracking #. The item showed up in August and it is not the part we sent for repair. I've emailed multiple times since, to ask if they will ship OUR repaired part since the one they sent is not our part, and it is a completely incompatible part. I have not received a response.Initial Complaint

I sent my****** camera to be repaired after being emailed an estimate and a form with my address and contact information to send with the camera. That was on August 9. Several weeks later I contacted them via email to see if they recievd my item. They said they had and my esitamet increased from *** to *** and asked me to send a check. This is when I got skeptical and looked up their address to find it connected to a previous business "****'s camera repair" which had horrible reviews. I told them not to repair my camera. The ceased and sent me an invoice for an inspection fee. I asked to send them a label and have it shipped back and with approval would pay them. They denied and insisted I sned money. I said no. They then emailed me several days later with a paypal invoice for the "completed" work saying my unit was repaired. I told them I wanted it back without repair and I wouldn't pay them. They then canceled the Paypal invoice. I've yet to hear back since.Initial Complaint

On 4/18/22 we shipped our ******************************** to Camera Repair Center (trouble auto-focusing, low estimate of $192 for repair, agreement that the lens repair needed to be done promptly in time for a trip in June, promised 2-3 day time for estimates and 3-5 day repairs). On 4/30 they gave new estimate of $419, which included both unnecessary repairs and non-existent parts. I declined and after a battle about their inspection fee and a letter from our lawyer, they returned a lens on 5/25. The lens that was shipped to us wasn't ours but was packed to look like ours, with our tripod mount attached even. Another shop (************) inspected it and said it has irreparable damage and can't be fixed. Our lawyer sent a 2nd letter demanding compensation, when we thought it was our lens they had damaged in retaliation. The serial # on the lens they sent us is #XXXXXX, so it is definitely not ours (#XXXXXX). I emailed them and they deflect by claiming that I put some other number on an intake form (#XXXXXX), which I didn't do. That would be irrelevant anyways. All my communication with the Camera Repair Center, including letters from my attorneys and our ***** registration and repairs, lists our correct lens serial number (XXXXXX). Note that the order number they assigned to my repair is CR XXXXX, so that's either their error or another tactic to obfuscate the issue that they still have our lens. ***** confirmed that our lens is serial #XXXXXX and that those other 2 numbers are not ours. Yet Camera Repair Center still refuses to return our lens or compensate us for having to replace it and several other costs incurred due to their actions. Other customers/victims tell of experiences similar to mine. They need to pay us for the new lens we were forced to purchase because they still have ours. It cost us ******* We paid to ship our original lens to them ***** and for the cost of gas to get their broken lens inspected in the nearest city ****** which comes to *******Initial Complaint

I sent my canon 24-70 into Camera Repair Center and they quoted me 369.26 to repair my lens on March 4th 2022. After paying and receiving my lens back I noticed that the problem still persisted. I contacted them on March 21, 2022 and they told me to send them the lens back and they would correct the issue. I sent it back on June 10th. Since then I have emailed several times. It is now August 16th and they have still not responded. I would like my lens to be fixed as they said they would or I need my lens back with a full refund.Initial Complaint

I sent my canon camera in, Monday July 18th 2022. And I haven't received any contact at all. I have been waiting and there has been no response. I'm really worried about getting my camera back because I needed so I can provide income again, but camera repair still has it. I just want my camera fixed so I can get my business going again. It's been over a week! And I haven't gotten an estimate or any updates.
