I bought two ring battery powered stick up cameras that should operate as the plug in cameras. Since the time I bought them, I have spent hours on the phone with Ring trying to get them to work. The cameras work but I can not get notifications. I get notifications from all the other ring cameras I have so this is specific to the TWO battery powered cameras. They sent me replacements and again they did not work properlyI have gone through troubleshooting repeatedly and that is all they offer: to AGAIN go through the steps I have already gone through with them. NOW IT IS THE END. They assured me they could get them working and they didnt. But now I can not longer return them to the store. Therefore, because I have been a good customer, because I continue to pay for the annual service on my other PLUG IN cameras, because their product doesnt work, I want to at least be made whole by Ring giving me a year of free service for each of these two cameras that do not work as promised.Business Response

After being charged for my annual subscription in May, I realized that I was charged in November for an annual subscription and that I was being double-billed for 8 years, always 6 months apart. When calling Ring customer service, they told me they have no record of me being billed twice a year and there was nothing they could do about it, even after I provided the erroneous charges. I cancelled my subscription on the spot, however I did not receive the full credit from the previous day.Business Response

I purchased a Ring Doorbell in June of last year. I had called so many times to get help, and other questions I had as well. I hired someone to install it for me because Ring does not have a technician that does not charge an "exorbitant" amount of money and does not insure their work. However, for several months I had to call Ring constantly and spoke to many representatives in which I experienced a lack of good communication and most of them did not have good technical knowledge. I then would ask to speak to someone else and each time I was transferred to speak to an experienced "Senior Technician", who was very knowledgeable and helpful. However, many times the first ****** that I would speak to was very reluctant to transfer me. For example they would say, the Senior Technician is not taking calls or convince me that they were right in the information they gave me. Unfortunately, the information they would give me was wrong, so I would have to call many times, which was very frustrating and time consuming. So the truth of the matter is that I have paid and invested approximately $600 for installation plus pay $4.99 every month to keep the service. My second complaint is I should have access to speak to a Senior Technician whenever it is a complicated issue or I don't understand what they are saying. I should not be forced to speak to someone who lives outside of the **** My third complaint is it would be much more efficient to insure the doorbell by paying a yearly fee which would include their technician to look at the doorbell, instead of me looking for a repairman who is quite not knowledgeable. It's been extremely frustrating to have had this doorbell installed. Like I said I would have felt much better to pay a yearly fee, rather than going through this nightmare. I have spent an enormous amount of time regarding this issue and I still have questions. I don't feel Ring's customer service is good at all. I'm not get the proper help.Business Response

This evening a woman was walking her dog in front of my house with no leash. This is against the law here, so I went to Ring Neighbors to make a post that said this: This is a reminder of LEASH LAWS in ****************. There are reasons for leash laws. It's not just for the comfort of others but the safety of your own pets. Allowing your pet to walk 20 feet ahead of you, and you not being able to catch your dog, should they run off is a HUGE safety risk. Your dog could be hit by a car, it could hurt by other animals, or it could hurt other animals or small children. PLEASE keep your dogs on a leash at all times when out of your own yard. ITS THE **** AFTERALL. My post was denied multiple times. This dog could have injured my small children and the woman wouldn't have been able to catch the dog. This dog could have run to the middle of the road at a busy hour and been hit. The fact that Ring is not allowing people to report situations like this to the neighbors, which is the exact reason they have Ring Neighbors, only shows they are neglectful to the safety of their customers. I paid for these services and products because I THOUGHT this was a company that cares for their customers but I am extremely upset that I was fooled. This is false advertising to say the least. I want my money back for these products because I did not spend my money on a security system that I can only use 2/3 of the services.Business Response

At that time, her Ring camera was deactivated, and the property has remained unoccupied since. I purchased a Ring doorbell a little over a year ago. It had a one year warranty. I began experiencing problems with the device approximately 3 months before the warranty was up. Two months before the end of the warranty, I contacted Ringtelling the agent that it wouldnt stay connected to wifi and ultimately showed no signs of life at all. I could not even get the app to try to connect it to WiFi. The agent told me my wifi was not sufficient and I needed to get a bigger, more expensive routing wifi system. Also told me it was dead because it relies on a trickle charge and I would have to disconnect it, take it down, and connect it to a charger to replenish the battery. The doorbell was not exposed to the elements at allcovered porch in shade and was rarely activated. I questioned why it would not be able to recharge trickling. No satisfactory answer. I had to order the router and find someone to set it up and disconnect the doorbell. By the time I was able to do this, it was out of warranty. I called because it still would not charge. A new charging dongle did nothing. Called again. And they refused to honor the warranty because it was just a couple of months past the purchase anniversary dateWHEN THEY HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE **** THAT IT WAS DEFECTIVE WELL WITHIN THE WARRANTY. I have attempted to speak to two agentswho just offered a coupon that reduces the price to any sale price around hereuseless. I repeatedly asked for someone above them to speak toboth said there was no one. THEY KNEW THERE WERE MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THIS DEFECTIVE DEVICE WELL WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND ARE REFUSING TO COVER IT. On top of the defective Ring, they pushed me into an expensive mesh system (hundreds of dollars) that was likely never needed! They should be paying for that too but I will settle for a replacement Ring. Clearly they get many calls just over the line because they have the same response and many have been in chats complaining about thisBusiness Response

I am reaching out to request the Ring company to move forward with taking a post down for violation of their community guidelines. A person made a post about me on the ring neighborhood app that is completely false. I went to the police to get assistance and I am unable to do anything because it was posted anonymously. It depicts inaccurate information and is a defamation of my character. I requested the post to be taken down on 5/14/25 to the ring ********************************************** I also reported the post on the app and it still remains up. Today on 5/16/25 I followed up via email to ********************************************* and **************************************** I also contacted ring customer service number ***************** and they stated they were unable to do anything on their end and that I would need to email instead. I have yet to hear a response back and this post continues to be up and close to the area in which I live. I want this posted removed immediately. I purchased a Ring 3rd generation cam and it came with a 90 days free recording subscription! After it expired I'm didnt intend to renew it or add it to my existing account! Ever since it expired Ring constantly interrupts my usage of the Cam by constantly posting expired subscription and no recording ! This is depriving me of using this product so I contacted them about it but they have failed to stop interfering with my rights to use the product after paying for it ! Its not fair that Ive paid for something yet I cant use it without interference from Ring! When I go to open the app they post the unwanted message which precludes me from seeing the movement alert in real time!
