On June I received a phone call from a ********************* from New Education Relief stating that they could get my student loans forgiven because they were over 10 years, I signed an electronic signature with them, but he also informed me that I needed to send back all the paperwork that he was sending me via email to active my case. After viewing the paperwork that *** emailed over to me none of it stated that their program was for student loan forgiveness instead all the paperwork stated forbearance( I still have the unsigned unreturned documents) Not one document said forgiveness so on July 1, 2024 I sent Sol an email stated I wanted to cancel my application with them. Maybe about 3 minutes later *** called me stating that one of the student loans was a Parent Plus Loan before could finish I told him I was canceling / withdrawing my application. *** said thats fine its within the 10 days that I had to cancel and I would get my money back. But then he said he would to transfer me to a counselor - her name was ****. **** tried to convince me that their program was a forgiveness student loan program and would send me the documents to prove it. Once again **** documents stated the same thing Sols did LOAN FORBEARANCE. I sent Sol another email on July ****** requesting my , $150, money back. My call was transfered to a manager from the New Education tells me that Im not entitled to a refund because they already set up and started processing my account. I asked her how could they do that when I NEVER SENT BACK THE INCOME VERIFICATION FORM OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT THAT SOL SENT ME. Today is August 18, 2024 and New Educated Relief after several calls and 3 emails has continued to refuse me my refund of $150 ( which was suppose to be deducted monthly $ 150 until October 2024 and then decrease.) Hoping you can assist or give information to someone (organization) that can. **

I was contacted by a company calling itself New Education Relief, claiming to be a verified third party servicer for student loans. The person I spoke with *************************** - Phone# ************** - Stated that if I didn't sign up for the **** program right then and there, the federal government would begin garnishing my wages. She already had my SSN, DOB, address and (obviously) my phone number, and knew the amount of my outstanding loan balance on top of all that. This person then asked for my log in information for the studentaid.gov website because "they need to be able to track the progress of the application." To my everlasting shame, I gave them the information. She then started pressuring me to give her my credit/debit card information to start making payments, saying that they needed it on file in order to "hold the application." I was hesitant at first, but she assured me that we could schedule the payments to begin at a later date, she just needed the info in order to save the application in the system. Then she reassured me even more by saying that we could even wait 2 days at most before actually scheduling a payment. I agreed to that, and ended the call. 8/8/2024, she called me back to schedule the first payment. We scheduled it for 8/15/2024 in the amount of $99.00, and that was the end of the call. 8/13/2024 after 5pm EST, I rec'd a call from the US **** of Education asking about the application for ****, and if I was planning on finishing the application. I relayed everything with New Education Relief to the gentleman I spoke with, and he informed me that it was most likely a scam, and I needed to take action quickly. There are multiple complaints listed on the Better Business Bureau, Reddit and other online sources regarding this company. Additionally, it is concerning that a "company" like this already had my SSN and other personal information regarding my loan. A complaint has been filed with the US ****. of Education.

I was contacted by who said the were with Aid Advantage Loan Forgiveness Program I've given them $475 but I'm not feeling secure about it. I did little research they seem legit but I'm not certain. Can you get my refund? They said $997 intial fee and $2 for 20 years. Sounds too good to be true. And if pay off early it would still remain on my record until year 20. And I can no longer access my account.

I was contacted by the company on May 16, 2024 to receive student loan forgiveness and/or be placed on a zero monthly payment plan. I had to sign a contract and they told me I would need to pay $150 a month for four months adding up to $600 and after I paid them that I wouldnt have to pay any loans back. I sent the loan processor a message after no communication for a couple weeks and she told me that my loans would be paid off once the term is over. .I called him and he told me that after I make 36 monthly payments, then the loans would be paid off, even though it wasnt apart of the agreement. The company lied to me about my loans getting paid off. I contacted my loan servicer and they have no information on the company and have had no contact with them regarding my student loans. The loan servicer also mentioned that they dont work with third party agencies, which this business is considered. NelNet said that they only talk to and contact the person whom the loans belong to, and every phone call, email is saved and recorded. Their database shows the times that I personally spoke to and sent them messages and I can also confirm from my past phone calls and emails. I was already on the lowest payment plan with NelNet, prior to the company contacting me. The company made it seem like my loans would be completely paid off after April 2026. They gave me false information, and lied about working with FSAStudentaid. I canceled my application with them and closed my checkings account the day of my first $150 payment so that they couldnt take any more money. I used autopay for the monthly payments and they had my debit card info. I contacted the loan servicer and demanded a refund due to them lying and not resolving anything to do with my student loans. They declined it and were not helpful.

I was contacted by the company on December 7, 2023 to receive student loan forgiveness and/or be placed on a zero monthly payment plan. I had to sign a contract and they told me I would need to pay $150 a month for four months adding up to $600 and after I paid them that I wouldnt have to pay any loans back. I called her and she told me that after I make 36 monthly payments, then the loans would be paid off, even though it wasnt apart of the agreement. The company lied to me about my loans getting paid off. I contacted my loan servicer (Aidvantage) and they have no information on the company and have had no contact with them regarding my student loans. The loan servicer also mentioned that they dont work with third party agencies, which this business is considered. Aidvantage said that they only talk to and contact the person whom the loans belong to, and every phone call, email is saved and recorded. They gave me false information, and lied about working with Aidvantage. I canceled my application with them and closed my checkings account the day of my last $150 payment so that they couldnt take any more money (March 7, 2024). I used autopay for the monthly payments and they had my debit card info. I contacted the loan *********************** via phone call and demanded a refund due to them lying and not resolving anything to do with my student loans. They declined it and were not helpful. Both their statements did not add up.

On December 21st, 2023, I attempted to make a final purchase to the business for their services for $389. This was the final payment as the agreement was that for their services of providing aid towards my Student Federal Loan consisting of; filling documentation, providing different payment plans, etc, I would pay a total of $1,248. However, on December 21st, 2023 I was charged twice for the amount of $389. When I informed the business about this mistake they responded that this had not happened and that they only charged me for one charge of $389. I waited 5 business days to see this duplicate charge removed from my bank account but it had not, so I filed a claim to my banking branch Chase (claim #*******) to obtain a refund and I was given that amount back of $389 being a duplicate charge. Recently on February 27th, 2024, that claim was rejected as the business states I authorized both duplicate charges as separate which breaches our agreement that I have on paper that I only would pay a total of $1,248. I have spoken with the business but they stand by their claim that they only charged me once for the final amount of $389 and that they didn't process that transaction as seperate and now are stating that my banking branch Chase is submitting claims for all previous transactions when the fact is that there is only one claim & want me to continue paying for services I already paid for. I wish to obtain my refund of the total amount of $1,248 as well as the duplicate charge of $389 as this has caused a loss of funds on my end financially and mentally. New Education Relief has not attempted to help my cause and they want me to continue paying even though they charged me twice and are breaching their agreement. They have provided me with an invoice of all my transactions and there is only one charge posted for $389 but I was charged twice and New Education Relief doesn't want to provide evidence of that duplicate charge which they state was authorized as separate.

Three different numbers have called me from varying locations throughout the state, claiming to be student services with the federal government/ department of education. According to them, I may qualify for student loan forgiveness. They always try to rope me in and are very eager to get me to a free consultation, but this is very clearly a scam. The callers invariably have a thick Indian accent. Their website is neweducationrelief.com, even though they claim to be from the federal government directly. Furthermore, the address listed on the BBB is literally a beef jerky place in **********. Anyone reading this, please, this is a scam, and do not fall for it.

I was contacted by New Education Relief Business. I thought this was real as Ive been researching for the relief funding project. The New Education Relief contacted me and had me go over a contract to pay $150 for 4 months then $19 after that. One of my family members let me know its a scam so I tried calling this business back and not getting any responses.

I continue to get calls at all hours of the day and night although I am on the national *** list. These calls start at 6 am and don't stop until 9 pm every single day! I told this company to put me on the *** list for more than 10 x's and they CONTINUE to call! They are waking me up at 6 am with phone calls and I have work! They are also calling me from different numbers from a sort of call center that is not even in this country. It's clear that they are calling from an autodialer, a beep goes off every time before they start to talk. They won't stop I am begging for them to stop harassing me. I am desperately requesting the BBB help me make them leave me alone.
