    I submitted my documentation for the background check back in the beginning of August. Like many of the other complaints here, I can easily pull the records myself. However, Accurate has advised me over the span of almost 3 months, that they're working on this check for one specific county court and that they're at the mercy of the court. I just don't understand why I must wait when I can literally obtain the results in a matter of days, according to my conversations directly with the court itself. Even after multiple expedite requests, I have been told to wait, indefinitely, with no timeline as it appears no one can provide an ETA. I am unable to start my new job because of this background check; I believe I have been very patient overall, but I cannot continue waiting like this with no resolution in sight. I have to provide for my family and cannot do so until this check is finished. Reference #*********

    Thank you for bringing  *******'s concerns related to the turnaround time of their background check to our attention.  As a consumer reporting agency, Accurate Background (Accurate) is required to comply with applicable laws when completing a consumer report (background check). ** *****'s potential employer requested Accurate to perform a background check including a criminal search in Sacramento County, **********, which is a jurisdiction with exceptionally delayed services due to reduced access and staffing.   This consumer report has been completed.  We appreciate the frustration experienced and apologize for any inconvenience.  Please let us know how we can be of further assistance.

    I submitted my information for my background check to be completed on 9/19. I submitted all the documents and am now being told that we are waiting to hear back from one specific county. I got the records instantly from this county myself but they will not accept them from me. The court also advised that I could come in person and they would mail the records to this company directly. I was advised not to do so, then told to go ahead and try. I was told today that this specific county has taken months before and I dont have months to start my new job. My recruiter wont go around this company so Im at a standstill. I was told a 3rd part vendor goes in person to pull the records but they cannot confirm if or when its been done and its impossible to disclose any information or escalate the call to any management regarding my issue. I am simply being told to wait with no timeline and helpless just waiting to start employment in hopes that my position that I worked hard to get will not be filled in the months that it could take to hear from this county.     My name is ********************************* and this company known as Accurate background provides false or incomplete background checks to potential future employers. I currently work a federal job and my background checks are monthly by homeland security plus the fact Ive worked for Amazon twice last year seasonally. They ve recently reported false information on my background to AMAZON and refuse to rectify their wrong doing. Their are millions more like myself that will be affected by this corrupt business. Im disputing all and any information provided by this company immediately and im opting out and requesting this organization to cease and desist providing false information pertaining to me ********************************* before I seek legal action. Im also attaching my homeland security clearance so that they can rectify this situation before I am forced to.

    I am a candidate waiting on a pre-employment background screening from Accurate Background requested on 7/19/22. My future employer reached out saying Accurate has ordered a report for a criminal record search in a county/state I have never lived in or worked. Initially I considered that maybe I had been the victim of identity theft. I ran my credit report on 7/26/22 at all three credit bureaus and there were no inaccuracies. I then called Accurate's Applicant Support number ************** on 7/26/22 to inquire as to why they are pulling information from a county and state I have never lived in and the representative would not provide me with information or support on why my information was being pulled or how to formally file a report. The representative told me the background reports had to be completed first before I could file a dispute on their website. However, my dispute is not with the background results but with their process. The company did not request accurate reports to complete my background check to begin with and it is delaying my employment for no apparent reason.I called the county sheriff's office and state clerk where Accurate is trying to pull a report and they have no record of my information in their systems. Furthermore, this is a county that would require clerk assistance as they do not release electronic records. I am at risk of losing this position because Accurate ordered a report that is not associated with my identity and they are not being transparent about what steps they are taking to correct the reports ordered other than "we'll let the other department know." I want to know what they are doing to to correct this and a timeline for when it will be completed. "Call back later" is not acceptable.
