I signed up with Zoek for a website and SEO ads. With that package, branding, logo, cards were to be included. I also agreed to an ad campaign for three months at $225 per month. I was promised that if I was not satisfied, I could get my money back. Today, over two months later, I still do not have a website, and despite my input, The designs are some thing I cannot use. This process has been confusing and not at all what I need. I was promised that they had experience with vacation homes, they do not have a template for this, I was told to use the template for a paint store for my vacation home rental. At this point, two months later, I have absolutely nothing except, frustration and regret. The employee and billing promised me that I would not be billed for the Internet ads until my website was completed. I have now been billed and dont even have a website. I cannot tell you how regretful I am that I ever encountered this company. if I could reach someone, I will try to get my money back.Business Response

At this time, there is no website provided because a Zoek Template was not chosen as is required within the available options of the ******************************* Zoek is more than willing to make an exception and use a template directly from Wix, if possible, but has not heard back from the client with any template choice to be able to determine whether or not it would be possible to make the exception. The ************** team will reach out again or the client can email a template choice to ************************************ so that it can be reviewed and likely approved.
The ************** team has also reached out asking the client to schedule a time to speak about the graphic design collateral so that the team can get a better understanding of what the client is looking for in order to realign the designs to fit what the client is looking for.
This client has an existing site so the Display Ads purchased were able to be started and the campaign has been created. During the campaign kick off call, the client was confused thinking that their existing website was the website that Zoek designed for them but Zoek has not been able to move forward with the web design due to the client not choosing a Zoek Template or replying with a proposed Wix template. Again, the Express team will reach out in attempt to get a template choice from the client so that the website can be designed as quickly as possible.

Hired Zoek to build a website and go live with it after ************** approval. The edits and corrections we sent to them never got applied and we would like a full refund due to being very disappointed with the quality and service provided.Business Response

Zoek appreciates the opportunity to address these claims and hopes to be able to move forward with the completion of the website project purchased by the client.
Zoek had a phone call with the clients directly and completed the requested edits during the call. After completion of the call, the client's General Manager reached out to state that the edits were not made and it was attempted to be cleared up but no further information was provided by the client or the General Manager and Zoek was unable to determine what edits were missing. The only request from the client was to cancel services and receive a refund, which is not possible in accordance with the stage of work that was completed as it was the final available round of edits - please note that even though it was the final round, Zoek would have provided additional edits that were claimed to be missed had the opportunity been given by the client in explaining to Zoek what was missing.
Unfortunately, at this point, the client has placed a chargeback on the agreed upon charges and this must be resolved between the client's bank and Zoek's billing department so Zoek is not able to provide any concessions or complete the project at this time.

I hired ZOEK to do website building and management tasks. **** was back in MAR or APR of 23. I was having trouble getting them to verbally get back in touch with me. (I could not get anybody on the phone) Finally, 25MAY23, I gave up and cancelled My acct. I asked for a refund that as of 11JUL23, I have yet to receive. I called ZOEK on 11JUL23 because I had a pending charge, on My DEBIT Acct. that was about to happen, for a 2nd $205.00. **** is when I remembered that I had never received My refund from MAY. Now, I am MAD! On 12MAY23, this transaction for $205 went through on My DEBIT card acct., which put Me in default on other auto-draft charges. ZOEK never refunded My money from MAY23 and charged Me an additional $205, after My acct. was cancelled. The employee on the phone said it would take 3-5 business days for Me to get My money back. I said What about the checks that are going to bounce because that money is not in My acct? He replied That is not Our fault, Sir. **** is when My SERIOUS POTTY MOUTH came out. I had that ************* for other things, ZOEK comes along and takes it without authorization and They claim it is not Their fault that I will have adverse financial effects, when I had that ************* for something else??? I have only got so much money to put in that acct. I say it is Their fault and should be held liable for Emotional and financial damages that have arisen and any future fallout, as a result of Their greedy practices.Business Response

Zoek Marketing attempting to collect money on service not performed. The company provides website SEO service. The website has been taken down and the domain purchased by a registry. (i did not have the money to renew the domain) I informed Zoek and requested a prorated refund, per the contract refunds are not permitted. (which is fine, that was in the contract) However now they are attempting to renew the service continue billing me for work they obviously aren't and can't perform since the website is no longer up and running. They have made repeated calls to collect (extort) money threating legal action. Again for WORK THEY AREN'T EVEN DOING!Business Response

The client had a free year of Offsite SEO included in their SEO services and was emailed prior to being billed for the Offsite SEO to allow the client time to cancel the service before being billed. Zoek did not hear from the client and the payment was attempted to be processed at the conclusion of the year of free services. At this time, as a courtesy, Zoek has forgiven the past-due balance and has canceled the account and will not be attempting to collect payment for the Offsite SEO services that were provided.

I have signed on for SEO services with Zoek in *ecember with the promise from the team that if I don't make page 1 of ****** within 3 months for one of my products they work on I can pause my payments and keep working until rankings improve. I have tried to pause twice and been told that if I pause they wont continue working so things won't improve and all progress will be lost. I have booked two update calls with ***** at Zoek and they have not turned up to either. Email communication is minimal. I've decided to end my contract and pay the exit fee. I've emailed Christian * asking for the exit fee payment on the 17th of May, and requested an invoice to pay the exit fee and leave the contract twice since then. ********* responds he is going to 'check with the team' about it. It's not the 25th of May and I have reason to believe they will continue to drag this out. I'm done. I want to honour my exit fee and leave this partnership behind me.Initial Complaint

I hired Zoek Marketing in March/April 2022 for $179.00 US Funds. For 1 year. I have on many occasions tried and explain to them regards to the 5 keywords which they reassured me you would see more positive results in 6-8 months. Later in the year approx October called them and found out they never had the proper keywords that I requested reason why my keyword results aren't showing in over the 100 I asked Zoek in December about my crawling and index with Google it wasnt done reason why I challenged them on this was two SEO Companies told me about this.and why I wasnt on google or had no traffic .. I noticed they don't keep great notes or calls.
I also called in August asking about cancellation and they said i would have to payout the remainder. Obviously the solution would of been. have contract null in void by both parties all they said was if you don't like it cancel and further more we added 5 keywords that's all our job was to do. ZOEK couldn't even do that right. I would coup the loss of paying prior of August. They as of January 2023 have made no attempt or call backs. I was nice to start with then I got a bit more up set because I don't like companies taking advantage of not doing their contracts in goid faith or following or changing the contract. IE Company takes customers money and withdrawals every month and doesn't do anything with account. If anything very little which is a breech of contract I call it a snatch and grab and rob contract.
I ended up January 25 hire another SEO company to take over. Even though I have 3months left with Zoek. They have not done nothing during contract except cause my keywords to be worse than when I started with them I left account # in upload doc they have contract sent back to them I didn't receive. Receipts they just send an unofficial receipt just a notification. I have spent over $2500.00 Canadian including setup etc. In 9 months of the 12 month contract which was clearly breeched by Zoek.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address the claims made by this client in order to resolve any issues there may be.
The account has been thoroughly reviewed and Zoek has provided the client with all services promised in the agreement. The client was made aware of keywords throughout the process and they were only changed at the client's direction. The client changed the keywords in October and called back in January to ask about the keywords we were targeting (which were the ones the client asked Zoek to change to in October) and stated that they were incorrect and the client wanted to change them again, which Zoek has completed.
The client recently called into Zoek to ask for help with their website design, which is not included in the SEO services that the client purchased. Zoek representatives attempted to assist the client anyway and sent information on how to make the changes the client was asking about but the client became upset. Zoek representatives decided to make an exception and assist the client with the web design issues they asked for help with. The client was not charged for these additional services.
At this time, the client has removed Zoek from having access to be able to check website traffic but attached are reports from the Google Search Console that clearly show the number of times the client's website is being seen in search results. It is important to note that Impressions are the number of times people searching are seeing the website in search results and is a direct reflection of the traffic increases provided through the SEO implementation. The number of clicks is not something that Zoek can control (without the purchase of Paid Ad Services) and is not a reflection of SEO services as Zoek can ensure the website is seen by people but cannot control people clicking through to the website.
A refund for services provided (included services and services that were provided as a courtesy) is not warranted and cannot be provided.

Zoek reports on client's chosen keywords as well as collateral keywords; keywords that your website can be found ranking for outside of the 5 that were chosen. This shows the health of the SEO for the website as it's being found for keywords that are being searched by people looking for a website related to what the client's website is about. As the website is running healthily with proper SEO implementation, it will start to be recognized more often by search engines and provided as a valuable resource to people searching for terms related to the website - focusing on the optimization of 5 keywords is never the only goal and Zoek works to ensure that the website can be found for as many similar keywords as possible.
Zoek has launched and completed a thorough investigation of the statements made by the client and has not found anything that was not done in accordance with the package that the client chose (with the exception of website work being provided at no cost and outside of the general package inclusion) and that all matters were handled properly.
As requested, the account will be canceled at the end of their agreement and will not renew. Zoek wishes the client the best of luck moving forward.

again I have gad 3 seo companies let me know the keywords 5 of them are bot in the top 100 intact my seo and ranking is lower than when I started with Zoek. I just want to give my feedback on BBB regards to the quality of work performed. I learned a lesson and hopefully everyone else will run away from Zoek. There are good Seo Companies out there sadly you get a rotten one in the bunch and that is Zoek. I know the truth and the other Saeo companies understand the quality after reviewing the time of work. I don't need to prove or continue oncI have moved on with another company and are great.
I am not closing this complaint I think I expect an apology and admit there where mistakes that needed fixing simply speaking

Friday January 6th 2023 i purchased a web designer from Zoek through my *** account who out sources web developers web designers who know how to implement the data for my ecommerce website.(because i don't know how to do it and it is not at all easy to do) Monday January 9th 2023 when they reopened i called to cancel my request and CID order #****** and got the run around with Alex, Joe, Luis V who is the supervisor that got assigned to my case. Luis needed a phone interview with me in order to send me to the accounting department to release my refund. Which is not true. I sent Luis V three emails and also left him a voicemail and he called back demanding me to schedule a meeting to call him back. These demandsareunprofessional terrogating, harrassment, & abusing their power to control me and my money. Zoek is not a company that *** should use on their platform and *** also so should be held accountable for usuing companies like Zoek who are not customer friendly and abusive because they do not want to release the funds that is owe back to me-the customer. And they have held me and my 725 dollars hostage and hijacked my account with *** and frozen my account and screen until they decide to unfreeze it!Business Response

This client called in to cancel services on January 10, 2023. They were called back that same day and a voicemail was left so that the refund could be processed.
The client called back on January 11 and Luis, the supervisor who is able to process these refunds, contacted her and processed her refund the same day.
Zoek supervisors are required to speak with clients and get reasons for cancelation as a part of the process to ensure account stability. Zoek has received phone calls and emails for accounts from unauthorized people and this has caused major issues in the past - canceling accounts that should not be because the account owner does not want to cancel services, upgrading services when the account owner does not want to upgrade them, etc. For that reason, the process is to communicate with the client to ensure they are the account owner and get a reason for cancellation.
Zoek takes claims of harassment very seriously and would like to point out that a total of 3 emails were sent in an attempt to assist Ms. ****** close her account and process the refund in accordance with our standard policies and procedures. Zoek did not hold her money, has no control over any "frozen screen", and is not holding anything from the former client.
Thank you.Initial Complaint

I am in the process of building another company, and I was trying to use *** when I saw a button that said "hire a professional." It appeared that *** recommended Zoek for website building so I scheduled a call with a sales guy. He called me, and I went over all the functions I was looking for and what would be necessary for the website to work the way I intend for it to function. I was told "No problem, you want the level two service" which I ended up purchasing. I was introduced to my first project manager, and he asked me for some details about the website. As we were having conversations, apparently he quit and I was assigned another Project Manager. I created a written document and a video to detail what I was looking for regarding the website. Shortly after sending the information, I was told I was "cancelled" by Zoek. I emailed them asking what was going on, and I received an apology saying that my account was still active. Shortly after I was told that what I purchased wouldn't handle what I was looking to accomplish and I got the bait and switch. Now I had to buy the top tier, which I did. I was assigned yet another project manager who made some updates to the website, and told me not to worry I wouldn't be charged. He quit and I was given my last Project Manager. I told her not to do any edits until such time as we agree because of all my issues in the past working on the project. She asked to see my notes, which I showed her and she made the updates and charged me the time. I have been trying to get a hold of someone at Zoek, only to get passed around a bunch of Virtual Employees from what appears to be outside the US. I have called and spoken to so many staff members to tell me that they logged it in the system and I will receive a call which I never have. Only now after months, I have realized that I was scammed. I was told Zoek could build it, then they told me to pay extra, and *** can't do it. Britney J - Third Project ManagerBusiness Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address this with the client.
We'd like to first apologize to the client for the sincere confusion as the client is listed as both a lead and a client in the system; there were 2 requests for assistance submitted through Wix with 2 separate emails, creating 2 separate leads - one of which was converted with **. ****** became a client. The rep that **. ****** contacted most recently is an Account Executive who helps onboard new clients and did not recognize that **. ****** was an existing client.
The last email that the designer received from **. ****** was as follows:
"Elsa,Great! Thank you. I went through the video and there are a few things that need completed from the initial request for the website. You have done a great job so far by the way! By far the best."
**. ******'s Project Manager has not told **. ****** that anything cannot be done and has completed the project and edit requests in accordance with the video. Upon receiving the above email, the Project Manager and design team re-watched the video (something that is not included in Zoek's services as emails, calls, and questionnaires are how projects are generally handled, but was done as a courtesy) and are unaware of anything that they missed.
We are happy to continue to look into this if **. ****** can provide information regarding this is in more detail and Zoek is unaware of any issues with the project currently.Initial Complaint

On 9/30/22, I had a call with sales associate Jill B******* from Zoek. I arranged the call because I was looking for help with my company's website SEO. My call with Jill began with the recorded message, "this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes", so they would likely have a transcript to corroborate my account of the conversation. Jill and I talked for about 15 minutes and my decision to go with the company was based solely on her answer to the last question that I asked. "Is this going to be a month to month service that I can cancel without a fee or will there be a contract buyout fee if I want to cancel later down the line." To this she answered, "it is month to month with no buyout fee." "But", she added, "we will do everything we can to keep you happy as a customer so it won't be an issue." Immediately following this, I said I would like to get started. She then took my credit card information and charged me $145 for the first month. (zoek order #******). A day or two after our conversation and my payment, I received an email with a written contract that said the complete opposite of what Jill had told me on the phone. It said that instead of month to month my total fee for the help was going to be $1,700, divided up into monthly installments and upon cancellation I would be responsible for the entire $1,700. Although, I refused to sign this new contract with grossly amended terms, it stated that my signature was not actually required for enforcement and that my first initial payment of $145 was to be considered my agreement to these new, amended terms. Now that I have discontinued payment of the $145 a month because of the new terms, they have sent me a letter threatening collections and detrimental impact on my credit report.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address this claim.
Zoek's SEO services are available to clients at a specific price point and in this case, the price of the chosen package that the client purchased was $1,700. Clients have the option to purchase the package upfront or select one of Zoek's available payment plans wherein the total amount is paid off in monthly payments. This client chose to pay off their purchased SEO package over 12 months instead of purchasing it upfront in full.
This client received all promised SEO work and is now in collections as only $145 of the $1,700 owed to Zoek for provided services has been paid. Zoek is happy to resolve this with the client before the account is sent to a third party collections company and has been attempting to contact the client to resolve the past due balance. Zoek asks that the client contact the representative that has been attempting to contact the client so that this can be handled between the client and Zoek as once it is delivered to a collections company, Zoek can no longer work with the client on payment plans or a reduced cost.

That is your company's response? That I should call and make payment arrangements? Are you guys run out of somebody's mothers garage? This must be a joke. I asked the direct question to the Zoek sales representative who was charged with convincing me to buy, BEFORE I AGREED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT, "Is this a month to month service, or would there be a contract that would have a buyout fee if I needed to cancel. To which she replied, "it is month to month, you can cancel at any time but we will do our very best to keep you happy as a customer so that won't be an issue. It was the reason in its entirety for my decision to move forward with you guys. My telephone call with her began with "this call will be recorded for quality and training purposes." You don't have to take my word for it. Listen to the phone call. Then, days later I received a written contract that stated the exact opposite of what I was told by that Zoek company representative while she was working to convince me to buy. At the very best, this paints a picture for the public of one of the absolute worst company training programs, workplace cohesiveness and just plain sloppy organization that I've ever heard of. At the very worst, it looks to satisfy all of the requirements for a successful case for infringement on California state law CACI No. 1900. Intentional Misrepresentation for fraudulent misrepresentation team selling products that you guys don't even really offer so I'm not too terribly surprised that your response to a Better Business Bureau complaint never made it across your legal departments desk.

This account has been reviewed and based on the findings and work that have been provided to the client, the balance of the account still stands and the client is currently in collections.
The client returned the questionnaire to begin work on the account on 9/30/2022 which included a signed agreement to services and acknowledging full payment for services and that a refund would not be eligible since Zoek would be starting the work.
On 10/3/2022 emails were exchanged with Zoek and the client discussing the keyword selection as well as the contract. At this time, it was explained to the client that services could be cancelled at any time but the agreed upon cost for services would still be required to be remitted to Zoek as SEO services are 1 project with 1 cost and are not a month-to-month cost for services. This client chose to pay for the full amount owed over a period of 12 months.
On 10/4/2022, the client chose to purchase call tracking, contacted their sales rep, and received those services.
On 10/7/2022, the client was asked to review and approve the 1st phase of SEO work and the client approved the work at that time.
On 10/9/2022, the client reached out to your sales rep looking to upgrade their account.
On 10/17/2022 we worked with the client on making a change to the mobile side so that the 3rd phase of SEO could be approved.
The client asked for clarification regarding the agreement, received that clarification and was knowledgeable of the terms of services yet continued to proceed and receive work from Zoek until SEO was completed at which point the client made the decision to stop paying for services that were already provided. The client has been sent to collections as Zoek has provided services that were never paid for.

The terms for which I was agreeing to by signing the attached document were the terms that the representative of your company who was charged with convincing me to buy had just laid out for me only minutes prior. You guys said nothing about $1,700 until well after you told me it was $145 a month. I have had several correspondence with you people regarding this and not once have you even bothered to brush on the subject that I was given false information in the effort to convince me to buy your product. If this shows up on my credit report we will go to court and you will in pay both of our legal fees. Whether it was pure negligence or fraudulence that resulted I'm misinformation of a false set of terms to get me to sign a contract for which I did not know existed you guys broke the law. I made it known to you and your team in the very first days that I had been given false information and was only just now learning that this was a $1,700 contract. You guys did nothing to correct it and just kept pushing the work out. I had no idea that you were done with the SEO work. The representative of your company told me that it was a month-to-month service. I assumed it was ongoing. I will now go add my name to the healthy list other people that have given their honest account of their dealings with your predatory company any place that will accept so others don't fall into the same trap that I did. After seeing the gross mishandling that your staff has managed to fumble out on this issue thus far, I imagine I'll be seeing you in court.Initial Complaint

I requested help with my website through WIX at the start of November 2022. They paired me with Zoek Marketing. I spoke with ***** and signed on to have them help me with SEO and a website redesign. I paid $469 (SEO) abd $205 (website redesign) as a quarterly payment. He told me I could have the work completed by Dec 1st. 2 weeks passed and no one reached out to discuss changes. No work had been done or even started.I tried emailing *****. No response. I called *****. No answer, no voicemail. I contacted WIX with problem. After a couple days a person with Zoek contacts me saying they will take over my project. They send me a contract to sign and want more money. I respond telling them I have already signed contracts and paid. No response. They send reminders to pay and sign. No phone calls, no work preformed. A supervisor named ******* emails me stating if I have any questions or issues I can contact her by email because satisfaction is important to them. I write her an email explaining the situation requesting a refund. No response. I just want my $469 and $205 back. I do not want to be charged the other 3 payment installments if $469 and $205. I do not want this company helping me. They are unprofessional and appear to be out to scam money off people. I ama teacher and this is my side hustle to make ends meet. I now am looking to leave WIX. How can WIX pair their clients with such a horrible marketing company and expect to keep customers! Please help me get a refund and stop them from taking 3 more installments from my bank account. Almost 5 weeks have passed and I have not been able to talk to anyone about work to be performed or a refund. I just want my money back and other people to know this company is incompetent or a scam.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address this situation.
The client submitted their questionnaire responses on November 29 at which point Zoek asked that the client schedule a call for their initial consultation. Prior to this, the client was sent an email with direct link to schedule a consultation with their Project Manager to get the web design project started but the client has yet to schedule an appointment.
Zoek is in continued communication with the client and has sent the booking link again for the client to schedule their call for their initial consultation. Zoek has also offered a free rush on the project (which is generally $400) in order to get the clients project completed as quickly as possible.
Zoek asks that the client schedule a time to discuss the project so that the Project Manager can get to work on completing the clients requests.
