      I am caretaker for my ******************* Nov 2021 I called Roto for service for her house.The technician said he would clear the line for 420 dollars. I said that was a bit much. He lowered the price to 320 and included the camera inspection of the drain We agree on the 320 and he cleared the line. I had to call a month later to have him finish the job the camera Today I am not at her house.I just received an invoice where roto came out again today and did the same exact service they did in Nov but this time they charged her 862 dollars.No customer ********************** at roto to answer my questions.total rip off.The same service in Nov 2021 is now 820 dollars. the same equipment- the same service -

      My water heater was making a booming sound, roaring really loud after running the shower, however hot water worked. The sound was scary. I called Roto Rooter and was advised that someone would be out the following day. Roto Rooter sent 3 techs for a 1-2 person job. They ran the water in the sink but couldnt find the problem, so I turned on the shower until they heard the first boom. They explained that fire was shooting out of the water heater. They immediately shut off gas, stating that it was dangerous and could blow at any time. They quoted 4k to replace. Im a mother of 3 kids and could not go without hot water so I agreed. They began draining the water heater. Twenty minutes later two techs left over an hour to get new water heater, while one tech was just sitting around on his cell phone. Once they returned and had new water heater working they said the would be they would be back with an invoice for payment. After 30 minutes 2 returned with invoice $1861.16 minus $200 coupon for parts & $1995 labor. I asked the hourly rate, the main tech replied regardless of the hours, because they 4k and wouldnt answer my questions as to why. The main tech was only focused on me signing paperwork which he stated should have been signed before doing the work. The other tech said they got me the best 50 gallon tank since I had one before and he didnt understand why I needed that big for my condo. As a professional he should have explained to me that I had options. I called around and was quoted $1800-$2500 for installation and the new heater. I found that Roto Rooter is paid commission. I looked up price Rheem XG50T12HN38U2 new $979. I believe I was a victim of price gouging and that was was preyed in an emergency situation.

      On 8/18/22 I phoned Roto-Rooter re a clogged sink & bathtub. I was told by the dispatcher a tech would be available between 7 pm - 9 pm. The service tech phoned for 1.5 days saying there wasn't a tech in my area. He called 8/19 @ 9:30 pm saying he could have a tech there in the morning. Saturday 8/20. The tech arrrives saying BEFORE he entered my home, the charge to snake a drain starts at $450.I told him I understood there was a consultation, he then says the lowest he could go for is $250 and there's no guarantee he could fix it. I tell him nevermind, I'm not going to pay almost $300 for a "Maybe". He never brought tools inside, never fixed anything. Billed me $400. I'm prepping to go to small claims court this Wednesday. All the service reps hung up on me when I called to rectify the bill. Don't bother with this company. I encourage everyone to ****

      In August 10, 2022, I had Roto Rooter (his name was ***) come to my home to clear my outside drains. There were 3 drains. He said we needed to look at the main sewer line as well and it would cost $1850 to clear the drains and to use a camera. When he used the camera to look in the sewer he told me I had a 15 foot crack. I was scared and he told me it would cost over $12,000 to clear this with a picote scaling, not including the crack. I told him I couldnt afford it and he suggested I work with ************** who they work with. I declined and he said, look youre a nice lady, ** trying to help you, you need to do this now. Your house is compromised so I can do this for $8000, then $7800, then he talked to ***, his supervisor and agreed on $6097. *** sent me an email and he called and told me I needed to sign it first. I told him I was scared and he said were going to take care of you. *** said he would then charge me for the camera and drains $925 as long as I paid for the picote for $6097. I believed he was trying to help me and even asked him if I was your mother, what would you say. He said do it now!! I said OK, digitally signed the email. *** ( I think) cleared the 3 drains and then went to work on my sewer line. The picote scaling took about ***** minutes. I was shocked! Then he said heres a paper contract. He took my credit card information. I said what about the crack? He said there wasnt one. I said WHAT?!!! He said hey! Youre very lucky. I couldve lied to you and told you there was one after all!!! Another guy named **** came 1/2 hour later and flushed the sewer for about 25 minutes. The next day I was talking to neighbors who were appalled and told me I got scammed. I called a sewer company and asked about an estimate for this kind of work, then I knew I surely was scammed! I emailed their corporate office which was no help! *****, their manager called me. He was belligerent. I cancelled my credit card amount but did not dispute the $925 check.

      We called rotorooter near us because we found ourselves suddenly with no water. They said it was the sump pump and it was going to have to be ordered. And the gentleman said the pump would have to be ordered. This was a month ago or more. We have no where to go and are on a fixed income. We have ?? the office numerous times and keep getting put off. We are two females on disability and we have been struggling to carry water alone from the creek. We are not hard to deal with but we have been without water for a year or more. We would gladly pay what the cost of the repairs are but we cannot live without water much longer. No one who works for this company would live with out water and we should not have to. Please get the proper equipment and repair this become we are not going to waste much more time on this company for no reason. Thank you, *****************************
