In December 2024, I requested a refund for a coat I ordered online from Inland Leather (************************************************). I prepaid $249.65 for the coat, which had arrived balled-up in a clear plastic bag. It was also flimsy, which led me to suspect it was not authentic lambskin leather, which I had ordered. I asked for a refund -- which took nearly a month for this business to process. Once the store did process the refund, it withheld $54.65 for "tax" and a "15% restocking fee." This purchase rule was not listed on the website beforehand. The business has ignored my request to return my total refund.Initial Complaint

I placed an order for a Mission Impossible replica leather jacket on October 2, 2024 for $220.56. I bought the jacket as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. Then on October 14, 2024, I accidentally placed a second order for the same jacket that had gone on sale for $187.47. I realized my mistake and emailed the company on October 15, 2024 to cancel my second order. I also tried to call the company several times over the days following this but was only able to leave voicemail messages and never got a response to the multiple messages that I had left. I never got a response back from the company. I received an email on October 22, 2024 stating that my second order, the one I tried very hard to cancel, had been shipped from the factory to the distribution center and would ship out to me in 2-4 business days. I sent another email to the company to cancel the second order and called them but was not able to get anyone on the phone. On October 23, 2024 I received an email from the company saying that they will not ship the second jacket to me and I would be receiving a cancellation email shortly. However, I still received the second jacket in the mail, which was identical as the first jacket.Initial Complaint

Beware of Inland Leather: A Scam Disguised as a Leather Retailers.Inland Leather claims to offer a 14-day return policy, but in reality, they use deceptive tactics to ensure customers cannot return their products within the allowed timeframe.A Bogus Return Address: After receiving approval to return my item, I was provided with an address in ******, **. However, after researching the address, it became apparent that it is either fake or not affiliated with Inland Leather. This means that even if a customer sends back their item, it may never reach the company, leaving them without a refund. Inland promised to refund me after the false address was issued. That action has not been realized. The Product Received Was Not as Advertised I ordered a real leather jacket with sheep fur, but what arrived was faux leather and polyester fur a clear bait-and-switch scam.If you try to contact customer service, expect to be ignored or fed misleading responses that lead you ********** accountability: Inland Leather refuses to acknowledge issues or process legitimate ************* Rating: I give Inland Leather a -5 for customer service and a -1 for product quality.Avoid Inland Leather at All Costs If youre considering a purchase from Inland Leather, understand that this company is running a scam operation with dishonest business practices. I purchased a leather jacket online on November 29, 2024. Online the color of the jacket is navy blue. The jacket that was mailed to me was ROYAL blue. I requested a refund and sent the jacket back and paid the postage for the jacket to be returned. The refund that I received was for $26.58 less than what I paid and I was told that it was for a restocking fee. The return policy on their site states: "....for more than 1 item return will be subject to up to 15% restocking fee....".I am making this complaint, most importantly, because Inland Leather sent me a jacket that did not match the description on their site and I should not lose money because they sent me the wrong color jacket. This was very disappointing because I purchased this jacket as a Christmas gift, not to mention, I had to email the company to inquire about the delivery because it was delivered later than promised (after Christmas). Also, based on their policy, because I only purchased 1, not more than 1 item, I should not be subject to the 15% restocking fee. On November 8th I ordered a saddle brown color men's leather jacket size medium, and paid $179.99. It arrived on time but the color was orange rather than brown, and a size too small for my husband.When asked to return the item and refund the charge to my credit card, they deducted their shipping costs and required me to pay for its return. I purchased a duffle bag from this company on 08/09/2024. It was described on the website as expertly handcrafted from the highest quality full grain leather. Nowhere on the item description page or checkout page did it say that its a non-returnable item (I would never have purchased it in such case).I was charged $29.95 for expedited shipping in addition to the item price of $459. As it turned out, the item shipped from ********, in an old filthy looking box, was stuffed with Pakistani newspapers and had an awful chemical smell. Clearly, it was wasnt anyway near the quality I expected, so I reached out to the merchant the same day to arrange a return. Like described in other complaints, they never answer their customer support line. They take long to answer the emails. After 2 days, I received an answer in broken English that this bag was made to order and couldnt be returned and offered a 10% discount. In my reply I pointed out to them that there was no mention of the item being non-returnable and the quality was appalling. They answered offering to send me a new bag with better quality or return the current one. I replied that I wanted to return it and get a refund. 9 days later after another reminder from me, they sent me a return label and said the return was approved. I used the label provided and sent the bag back. It was delivered to them on 09/09/24. I sent an email when I was going to get my refund. They replied on 9/14 saying they were going to check and get back to me. Havent heard anything from them since. I purchased a leather jacket from this company on June *******. The jacket arrived a month later and fit small. I emailed and requested an exchange for a bigger size that was granted. I mailed the jacket back within 2 weeks and have not heard back from this company. My emails have been ignored and i have tried calling multiple times with no luck. I ordered a leather jacket, when it arrived it was too big so i requested and exchange. They told me to mail the item back to them at my own expense. When i contacted them to see when the new jacket they asked me to email the tracking which i did. This was back in late February of 2024, and to this date i have not received the item. I have reached out to them several and have not received any resolution
