      Absolutely nightmare of an experience with both dealership and Portfolio company. They are unresponsive. Sixteen emails later, an employee finally replied. I have submitted my paperwork for cancellation of the policy and I have yet to receive confirmation back.

      This is tough, i really like all the people i spoke to like ***** *. and ****** *., but the worst part is having to wait. I had to wait 2 days for the claim to go through and then i had to go to a specialist to fix the wheel. I honestly didn't mind all this because at the time I'm not really working so i had time and friends to drive me around. Also as i mentioned before yesterday and this morning ***** had helped me out and then today ****** was amazing, so gracious and kind... totally put me in a good mood??

      The lady that helped me was amazing very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I wish I could remember her name. Its killing me not remembering her name but she took my called today morning about 8:40am (5/23/2025) She provided me with a thorough explanation of how I needed to submit my paperwork. She also emailed me a checklist to make sure I submitted all necessary for my claim. She was just so helpful. Her calm voice, helped me to feel understood she just had so much empathy for my situation. She really wanted to help me be prepared in submitting the correct documents.

      While the process of collecting all the needed paperwork hasnt been easy, these guys have made understanding it super easy. Theyve been friendly as well. I recently put in the last needed document. Now lets see how they are with fulfilling the *** coverage.

      ABSOLUTELEY THE WORST EXPIERENCE !!!! with GAP Portfolio I would not recommended. When you ask to speak to a supervisor they will never transfer you to resolve the issue. They will tell you everything is okay and you have all the documents they need but 7-15 days later they end up needing papers that you neither the dealership or the lien holders have. Even if you provide letters from both parties saying the letters are not available they will ended up switching it to who needs to have the documents even though you provided documentation. I also had the supervisor of the dealership and Lien holder call and send emails but they do not document any calls on Gap accts. They will also not allow you to ask for the supervisor to give you a call back in regards to Gap Acct. Most of representative that helped me were rude and did not try to help me like they should!!

      My truck has been in the shop for about 2 weeks due to miscommunication and alot of feet dragging on Portfolio's side. First, the shop called them to submit a claim and they told the shop 2 submit it online. Several days passed, the ship calls back and Portfolio tells them they cant submit claims that way so they submitted it over the phone. Several days later, I called to see what was the hold up and they tell me they're waiting on maintenance records (why didn't they just say that in the beginning?) Day or so later, it needed an "virtual inspection " which end up being an in-person inspection due to repairs being over $2000. Now the whole day has went and still waiting on approval. I guarantee all the good reviews were small inexpensive repairs. This company is the worst of the worst.

      Purchased coverage with Portfolio when buying my pre owned car and almost forgot about it until I had an issue 3 years later. The person who answered my call was courteous and helpful. Upon ending the call I almost immediately received an email to fill out a simple form. This was on a Friday afternoon and by Monday had received the approval for my claim. I could not be happier with the service I received from this company and I have peace of mind knowing that they are there if I have any future issues.
