Worst vet I have ever been to. Horrible practice and worse customer service. Almost killed my cat by prescribing the wrong medication. Stay far away if you care about your pet.

STAY FAR AWAY!! I couldnt even give them a zero star, so they received one. My pup had to be seen for a bump on her lip, they didnt do anything made me pay $$$ because its not covered under her insurance plan. They never have available appointments, therefore, you will have to go to an emergency room to have your animal seen. I owed my last payment for my dog insurance policy in order to complete her spay, and somehow my payment declined, so now they have cancelled her policy. I have paid $ ****** up to todays date and have NOT received that amount in services and now I am unable to get her spayed under the insurance plan. There is nothing wrong with my bank card, theyre just scamming people out of their money. Please stay away from this company, as my dog has been uninsured for almost two months and I was never notified, conveniently for them they will not have to render her spay either that I paid for. Theyre a scam of a company, only out for your money.

Brought our dog here 3 times within 4 days. The first vet she saw did absolutely nothing but look at her, feel her belly with his hands, said she looked fine, was walking around and charged us $225. He did no blood tests, X-raysnothing. Brought her back home and she was still off. She finally drank some water then ate about two hours later.Second time we went there they did blood tests which showed low platelet levels. No other tests, X-rays, ultra sound. Youd think with low platelets theyd do something else after seeing that, but she wasnt too worried she was losing blood.Came back here a third time when she went to get water, walked away and was really weak. Finally this time they did more than bloodwork and used an ultra sound. They found a bleeding mass in her belly. These crooks wanted $14,000-16000 for a surgery while not being sure if it was cancer or not. Sadly, our dog is now our ****** Really makes me wonder if any of the vets I saw, including at yorkville animal hospital (went in on Saturday morning was told they couldnt do one until Monday which makes no sense), did an ultra sound things possibly couldve been different. I wish when she wasnt feeling good couldve been during the day so we werent forced coming here, although if something happens to my other pets Ill go to a different 24 hour vet from now on.

On 8/20/2024, I took my Senior Cat in to get blood work an urine analysis done, paying almost $600 for the service and NO ONE followed up with me on testing results. Had to call on 9/19 to follow up MYSELF and was told I would get a call or email that afternoon. No one called back or emailed me results from the testing. 9/23 I get a vague email that my cat has Chronic Kidney Disease and a quote for $200 of more testing they would like to do, but no one called to talk to me about the results of the testing or provided me with the actual test results. I had to call again to get the test results, when I read the report, I saw that the results were returned to the vet on 8/21, a day after the testing was completed. Turns out their office has been sitting on information that my cat has Chronic Kidney Disease for a month. The staff were unapologetic and no vet had followed up with any phone call explanation to go with their vague email. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SIT ON IMPORTANT TEST RESULTS AND NEVER FOLLOW UP WITH YOU. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

Reg. *** in *****************. 8/2024. My baby of 9yrs. grew a mass in her hind amputated leg. Went to their Emergency 8/18/24, spent the usual $$$$. which the ** vet (******* ***) was useless but good for asking for money but we're in an Emergency and saying we have NO Surgeons on hand is like saying "there's NO dentist in the dental office during your root canal?" Yes they are Licensed, but respect is earned not given, WHY, because they passed a test. Well I did too, but I don't say respect me. "Treat me like the way YOU want to be treated". During the visit while waiting I made an appt. with a surgeon, but since the Surgeon who I respected was out on leave, I took a chance. Fast Forward: Saw Aryazand, Yazdan Lic#*****. Discussed my concerns even-though surgery was off the table, I still had to know. Again the usual Money grab.AN Expensive BIOPSY, I was told a couple days, well after those couple of days, I started calling practically everyday after. was given the runaround. After 2weeks I called and to complain?? All of a sudden my Biopsy shows up?, Spoke to Yazdan, and he said he received the results one week earlier? WAIT WHAT???, now I'm upset, I did exchange words without Profanity. He acknowledged that he made a mistake but when I said he was Negligent, that's when he changed his story 3 times? He said he called and left a message, Really. he said I only called once on Aug. 28, which I actually DID NOT, it was the 29th. then he said he just received the final report just that night before Speaking with him on 9/4/2024. SO how am I going to trust you after all of this. He said ohh its a weekend so I'm not there? You have weekends off too, That wasn't the issue, why did it take this long, And yes I do call all my Patients to make sure they know the status as I work in *******. at this point the results were/are useless as they said nothing, I thought I paid for core sample Biopsy? which is accurate. Then he says maybe you should go somewhere else? Negligence!!

If I could give them a zero star I would. They preyed on my mother and took advantage of a vulnerable older person who just lost her husband last year. She brought her 16 year old dog into this vet in an emergent situation. Instead of allowing the dog to pass, they convinced her to perform CPR and hospitalized it for a week- charging her over $13,000. Now this dog who is basically blind and deaf can hardly walk around and can no longer go outside on her own to potty. She is now bouncing off the furniture like a pinball because she can't see and using all around the living room and kitchen as her "potty" because she can't make it to the doggy door on her own- even if she did she'd probably fall off the edge of the porch instead of going down the steps. This is putting my mom at great risk of falling as she's having to clean up p*** around the house and as she can't get around too well herself, she's not always seeing it before she slips in it. It is heartbreaking to lose a pet who's like a daughter, but this was an egregious use of using someone's vulnerable feelings to get money from an older person- and now putting her at great safety risk to herself- Especially when the lifespan for a dog this age is not expected to last too much longer. Outrageous. There is multiple locations for this business, my complaint is in regards to the location at: **********************************

VCA Hauppauge does not stick with their mission statement. Your fur baby is an Animal/available money to them versus an actual patient. The front desk at ********* NY location is rude. They do not want to assist if it is not on their time. They are overpriced and are not compassionate.

NEVER EVER USE THIS FACILITY. THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN CHARGING OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNTS OF MONEY FOR WORK THAT IS NOT NEEDED. I went to *** in ********* as a referral from my regular vet because my vet removed a cancerous mass from my dogs leg and they felt that even though it was stage 1, that maybe their extraction margins were too narrow. I called *** and spoke with the oncology administrator to make an appointment and make sure they had my dogs records to review. So I went to *** to see an oncologist on 7/9/24 who said I should see one of their surgeons. I went back to see the surgeon on 7/13/24 and the surgeon recommended additional surgery to extend the margins. My two visits cost me over $1500 but that included chest x-rays $500 and chem 24, cbs, soma blood tests for $440 (FYI a full senior chem panel cost $370 in Jan at my regular vet office). My first confusion was why did I need to see the oncologist if they had all the records of the prior mass removal? My second consult with the surgeon resulted in them recommending surgery for stage 1 cancer to widen the width of the margins. And immediately they were ready to operate for a mere cost of $6k-$7K. I felt I should get another opinion since it felt very rushed. So I went to *** in *************** and saw a surgeon there. They said given that it is stage 1 and there is a 7% chance of reoccurrence, that I should monitor my dogs leg and wait to see if anything reoccurs. I am free and clear after 9 months if no issues occur. My consult was $250. I feel *** took advantage of my lack of knowledge and recommended what was good for their bottom line. I am glad I went to *** and feel stupid that I spent $1500 for consults and tests that were not needed. Warning: DONT TRUST THIS FACILITY.

VCA in **********, ** was nice; however they are incredibly overpriced. They are overcharging 100's of dollars for their services and are unwilling to be helpful. They charged me $430 for a health certificate and medicine to travel to the ********** while other vets in town charge $130. My vet on the east coast charge $81. I had an issue with the issue date and they were completely unwilling to work with me even though my certificate was not expired. I DO NOT recommend anyone use this vet and waste their money and time.

I am devastated to share our recent experience with VCA Commack Animal Hospital, a place we had trusted for 20 years. We brought our 3-year-old dog in for a routine checkup and were assigned a doctor we had never seen before, not our regular vet. This new doctor caused our dog such distress that she suffered a panic attack, which escalated into a heat stroke. We had to rush her to an emergency vet, but tragically, she passed away at 2 am.To make matters worse, the manager did not contact us until 5 pm the next day. When they finally did, they had the audacity to blame us for our dog's death. The quality of care has significantly declined since VCA took over. I strongly urge anyone considering this place to stay away. Our beloved pet might still be with us if we had gone elsewhere.
