      I just returned from a $4,000 beach vacation and was wrongfully charged a $400 smoking fee on my rental car. Neither my fianc nor I smoke - not cigarettes, not vapes, not anything. The car was near the beach, so if theres any residue, its clearly sand, not ash. This charge is completely inaccurate and needs to be reversed immediately. If its not removed, I will be disputing it with my credit card company and reporting this to corporate, along with sharing my experience publicly. I refuse to be scammed for something we did not do.

      I had such a lovely time checking in. I bought the pre-paid refuel option and the gold insurance. It was so easy to get my car and the lady at the desk was lovely. I had a great, clean car. Upon my return, I handed my keys to a young man in the car rental uniform. I asked "is there anything else I need to do to check out?" He seemed unsure but say "Nope, you're all set!" This was 10 minutes before my car rental was due to be returned. I thought everything was fine. A week passes and I start to get concerned that my security deposit has not been refunded. I am currently fighting ********************. They are claiming I returned my car 4 hours late! Wow. I guess they expect no one to check their credit card statements. I am currently at a loss for $400. They are asking for proof of my return. To me, this is insane. I literally handed an employee my keys before I was due. I have now sent my boarding pass and a screenshot of a text conversation as proof that my supposed "return" couldn't have possibly been two hours after my flight departure and 4 hours after my text that says "I'm at the airport". If you choose to give this scam company a chance, please ensure you have videos, timestamps and anything else that can help your chances before they most assuredly s**** you over.

      Dishonest business practices. Trick you into signing for things you didn't agree to by saying it's a deposit. Stay away from this place.

      My wife rented a car from the *************** location from June 10th through the 24th. We prepaid for the rental in advance two weeks prior to the trip. When she checked in to pick up the car the agent rushed her through the signing process and had her initial parts of the contract without pointing out what each line represented. She was not given a copy of the signed contract at any time. When she returned the car she was told that our $369 was now $981 based on the sections she initialed. She objected to the additional charges and was rudely told she signed the contract and that was the amount due. Again, she never received a copy of the contract, not when she picked up the car or when it was returned.We have rented from Fox several times before without issue but will NEVER rent from them again.BEWARE! Do not let them rush you through the pickup process.

      Worse company ever, be carefully before signing anything just read everything!!. And do not trust on the attendant words. 1) the tires had 60psi!!!. This is so dangerous when you are driving it.2) ******* was attending me and she lied to us, my first question when I was with her was if we will allowed to travel to ****** and then return the car back in ********* . She told us yes, Ill never forget her words no worries. I got you. So I did continued with the reservation and sign what ever it was needed. So now I am in ******* with 1000 dlrs less Im my wallet cant cross to ******. Because I saw that I need a Mexico assurance. So I tried to add that in my actual reservation. Calling or Going to the office at ******* with no resolution. Then they told me the only thing to do is to return the car here in ******* and then do a new reservation but thats mean Ill need to pay 740dlrs for leaving the car in a different location. And then they will not return any cents from my 8 days left of the previous reservation plus another 600dlrs for the new reservation. Basically I did spend already one day on phoenix trying to solve this. So my entire vacations seems to be ruined now.

      Overcharged for a car rental when I went to pick it up after paying the supposed full fee upfront. Argued with the agent who refused to connect me with a manager and gave me the runaround about needing to speak with an intermediate company. Total scam, ended up overpaying and what's worse, *********** Travel credit card which I booked the rental through didn't support my request for a refund and didn't reimburse me. Both companies in the end are untrustworthy and don't honor and protect the original payment agreement. Don't trust either company.

      I had a very disappointing experience with Fox Rent a Car in ********* this past May. Despite clearly declining the "Loss Damage Waiver" during the rental process, they went ahead and added the charge to the agreement without my knowledge. The lady over check-out counter explained it as a deposit that would be refunded upon the return of the vehicle. Trusting her explanation and in a hurry, I signed the agreement without reviewing the details. When I contacted their customer service after returning from my trip to express my concern, they refused to issue a refund for the unauthorized charge. Based on this experience, I would advise others to be cautious and consider avoiding Fox Rent a Car!

      Rented a car through *** at the ***************. I was accidentally charge for the customer facility charge of lost damage waiver by they're representative at the counter. The man said there was nothing he can do at this time, but to call customer service, and they should be able to give me a full refund. After several attempts of calling customer service and getting the run around, they said there will be no refund granted. And there's nothing more that they can do because I sign their agreement. Again, I questioned this because where I signed it, says, no refund for pre-paid fuel, not knowing it was also right under the lost damaged waiver. What a trick. Be aware of this company, basically they're scamming people in to signing things that they did not agree upon. Then saying, at the counter to contact customer service, which does nothing for the mistake. Also, good luck, trying to talk to a supervisor called 3 times I was unable to speak to one because they kept telling me it has been resolved. And there's nothing more, they can do. What's the point of having a customer service? When there's nothing they can do?
