      Rented a vehicle from *** and declined their transponder use. Immediately while in their parking lot, added the rental license plate to my easy pass, encompassing entire rental period. *** billed me after returning the vehicle for transponder usage. Called FOX and was told to send a screen shot of all the paid toll charges for this vehicle. Email was immediately sent including all requested info. Wait time was 5 days for a response. 5/12/25 Sent a second request to resolve 5/21/25 to no avail. My efforts have been ignored, and charges remain on the credit card account.Highly disappointed with FOX Car Rental and want others to be aware of this scam practice. Even with proof, they have failed to respond.Not Recommended Beware

      I rented a car from Fox Rent-A-Car in ********* as part of an Expedia package. After reaching our destination, the car wouldn't start due to a "High Cabin Temperature" error. We waited for the temperature to drop, but the battery was dead. Roadside assistance kept us on hold for two hours and then told us we'd have to pay $125 for a jump start since we hadn't purchased their roadside assistance. We weren't offered this option when signing the paperwork. The customer service *** said we'd have to pay regardless of rather we were at fault or not. Had we known this earlier, we would have jumped started the car but we were already 2 hours in, it was dark and we were in an empty parking lot. The car eventually started and, upon returning the vehicle, we informed the attendant about the battery issue but he showed no interest. This was a disappointing experience, and I recommend choosing a more ***utable company with better customer service.

      reservation made on ******* for a 5 passenger car. At the time of pickup the clerk informed us that the car deserved for us was a two seater and wouldn't fit 2 adults with the 2 bags we had. I then showed the clerk our reservation and was told the reservation was a special and subject to change. In the heat of the moment I agreed and signed. BIG MISTAKE should have insisted that I get what was ordered.

      Rented at the ******************** location. I declined the prepaid fuel option as I always do, as well as insurance. My rental agreement reflected those choices. I drove about 150 total over a couple of day and filled the tank before I returned it (about 6 gallons). I received my receipt by email and it showed they had charged me for the prepaid fuel option, despite the fact I declined it. I contacted *** thru their website and pointed out this error. Their reply was baffling - they said there was a discrepancy and instead of being charged $48 for the gas, I should have only been charged $24. What??? I replied that this isnt a math error, its a billing error. Refunding half of the amount is an acknowledgment that they messed up, but doesnt fix it. Im quite sure the most profitable part of their business model is selling the prepaid gas, knowing you wont use it all and they will be able to resell that gas time and time again.

As this car was returned at 7/8 the billing team adjusted your charge to half of a tank instead of the full tank for you.       Are you apologizing for being confused? Let me be very clear - I was offered the option of purchasing ALL the fuel in the tank. I declined. There was NEVER a discussion of purchasing half a tank. And if there ever were to have been such a discussion, I would have declined it as well. I have pictures of the fuel gauge when I picked up the vehicle, when I filled it up, and the receipt from where I filled it up (about 2 miles from the airport). The fuel level in both pictures is the same. So, either Fox is 'confused', or are trying to sell 7/8ths of a tank of fuel as a full tank of fuel.Answer this question - are any employees incentivized to sell the fuel?

      I do NOT recommend Fox rental. They gave me a car with the stale stench of cigarettes even though they have a no-smoking policy and collect punitive fees for it. They evidently keep those extra fees for themselves and rent you the smelly car, so basically they benefit and you are miserable driving an ashtray around. They were unresponsive and unhelpful when I complained afterward (I had no time to go back in and try for a new car as I was attending funeral services). Oh, and there were numerous stains on seats and bird droppings inside the car. Use a different company! I will definitely not be a repeat customer.

      Will never use them again. The sales person was a smooth talking kid and scammed me into purchasing the supplemental insurance . Well.most peoples regular car insurance covers this. Due your research before hand to confirm. In no way do they mention that your regular insurance may be enough coverage. There is a reason the base price is low. Terrible, terrible, and unethical company. I even complained and no refund. Everyone beware!

      Rented a car on 4/6/25 and was never told anything about toll charges. I have now received a bill for $26 in toll charges and $90 in admin fees. I do not dispute the toll charges, however the fees are ridiculous. I have tried for days to contact this company without success. Do NOT rent a vehicle from this company!

      Prepaid booking, charged again for rental car. Salesperson rushed me through signing at 6am woth two young kids, I didn't read the fine print and over sold me on unnessesary insurance and road side assistance as well.

      We rented a vehicle 4/13-4/19/2025 from the **************** location. During that time, we had a toll fine of $3.28. On May 3rd, we received a notice in the mail for $33.28, due May 5th. If we did not pay by that date, our credit card would be charged automatically. I attempted to go to the website on the notice, and the website wouldn't work, despite trying multiple browsers and two laptops. I attempted to contact them as well through the site and it did not work either. There is no way to mail the payment in the amount of time given., and I cannot stop them from charging my card as my credit card company will issue all new numbers to me causing significant disruption in my life. Sadly, this is not the first bad experience with Fox, as we had a less then pleasant experience at the ************** location as well. Would advise others to avoid this company.
