    TERRIBLE! Impossible to cancel subscription and hidden fees and sneaky practices to prevent the cancellation of services and they steal your personal data.

    I have an account with **********************, but just found out that Consensus Cloud Solutions is their name thru this website BBB. I closed my account over two months ago and my /card is still being charged. I tried calling; they do not have a live person only thru the *********** I was told to log in on my account to cancel the service; for two months I can not log in so therefore that's their catch to hold you hostage. I am going to file with the Attorney's general office now since I see they are criminally fraudulent practice to everyone on this site complaining; the proof is in this pudding.

    This is about "eFax" which is a service of Consensus Cloud Solutions. I give them two stars instead of one because the fax I sent though them back in November went through just fine! The charge for that one fax was $5 plus tax.Forr thosse of you who said they haven't been able to contact them, go to eFax and click on Help -- that's where I found their phone number. Or, ********************************************** course I didn't realize at the time that I had signed onto their monthly plan, which cost $18.99 plus tax. I called them and got through. They would not refund any part of the four months I paid to them because, according to the gentleman, I had agreed to the terms -- I would have had to cancel within the month. I did not notice that condition, and now can't find a copy of the terms. I'm guessing that they are among the many companies that fool you into signing up for an ongoing service by making it hard to find -- I guess this is what's meant by "the fine print."

    Did business with them for years. Had to update an old card a couple of months ago, which interrupted my autopay for reasons unknown. No notice that update didn't take, service cut off. Several emails to customer service--no response. Several calls at 30+ minutes on the phone, with no one ever picking up. Deeply unprofessional--and, as it turns out, also greatly overpriced.

    Despite my numerous attempts to cancel my account, I still cannot access it. Even after changing the password multiple times, I keep receiving the same response: "Log in to cancel." They do not provide any options for cancellation without logging in.I have lost over $200 to this service, which I am unable to use. I initially signed up in July to send medical paperwork for my husband, but since then, I have experienced constant frustrations with no resolution. Their emails often come from a no-reply address, and when I manage to find a working email, I receive no response.I should not have to waste hours trying to reach someone to cancel a service.

    The only option available to contact them is via an email address. We found a phone number - which tells you to send an email. We have sent 10 emails since December 4 and received no response. We are now trying to cancel and cannot reach anyone to assist. They "upgraded" their website recently and half the buttons don't work, can't update anything, can't send. After more than 10 years of great service, it's now horrible!! Seems to be a consistent complaint with many other users.

    Records show that ***** ****** signed an **** account online on January 8, 2024, with a monthly subscription rate of $18.99.The eFax customer agreement (***************************************************) makes clear, via Section 10 (Termination) of the customer agreement, the cancellation process for the eFax services; pursuant to those terms cancellation requests are handled only by contacting eFax customer support either via telephone, online chat or the Cancel My Account link (available via the customers eFax web portal); explaining that a customer service representative will assist the customer with canceling the account in accordance with the company's verification procedures and that upon cancellation an email confirming that the account had been canceled would be sent and that the account would not be deemed canceled unless and until the email is received.eFax provides easy-to-use telephone and online options for account cancellations that are all available 24 hours a day 7 days a week; eFax customer support representatives are available via telephone at *****************-958-2983 and ************ and the eFax site (************************************) and online Contact page (*******************************************) have the telephone numbers posted, while online eFax chat representatives are available online at ************************************cancel and an online Cancel My Account link that is available to subscriber accounts in current billing standing via the customers eFax web portal found on the Billing tab of the Account Details section from the top navigation; thereby providing customers the ability and opportunity to cancel services at any time during the day or night.***** Parkers eFax account had remained active and accrued charges accordingly as data shows no record of him submitting a cancellation request through the above-provided channels and completing the companys cancellation and verification procedures while the account was ********* a courtesy, the companys verification procedures have been waived and ***** Parkers eFax account has been closed pursuant this BBB matter; billing has ceased and an e-mail confirmation, containing a cancellation number, will be sent to ***** ****** (at the contact email address on file for the account) within 24 hours of the account closure.The eFax customer agreement further makes clear, via Section 16 (Charges) of the customer agreement, that fees would be charged to the customers credit or debit card, without further authorization from the customer unless and until the customer has provided the company prior notice, in accordance with the company's verification procedures, of their desire to discontinue the authorization or service, and that such notice would not affect charges submitted before the company reasonably could act on such notice; explaining that all services fees are payable in advance and completely non-refundable, with the "COMPLETELY NON-REFUNDABLE" verbiage appearing clearly and conspicuously presented in offset text in all caps.eFax policies and procedures were made clear to ***** ****** when he signed up for an eFax account ********* a mandatory step in the sign up process, prospective customers are presented with the eFax customer agreement and must confirm that they have read and agreed by checking the I agree to the automatic renewal terms above, including the $18.99 recurring monthly charge which will be billed to my chosen method of payment. I agree to the Cancellation Policy and understand my subscription charge will continue until I cancel box before the account can be activated. TheeFax sign up process is configured to automatically prevent account activations that do not have the contract acknowledgement checkbox field checked. It is the customers responsibility to read and understand the policies and procedures as detailed within any customer agreement prior to acknowledging to reading and accepting the terms as a condition of activating services. Ignorance of the customer agreement is not an excuse for the absence of the customers responsibility or relief from their legal obligations and the company cannot be held responsible for the negligence of the customer.And although a refund was found not to be applicable in this matter (pursuant to the agreed, accepted and legally binding contract), as a courtesy and in the interest of a mutually satisfactory resolution, a refund of $105.90 (consisting of 5 monthly service fees plus tax and 1 late fee) has been issued to the affected credit card; the reflection of the funds onto the account is dependent on the credit card provider and we may suggest that ***** ****** follow up with the credit card provider in this regard.

    I asked for cancelation/ Company still charging me. When you sign up they say you can opt out by signing I MN or contating support. I emailed support they have auto response saying login. I wS unable to login. My account was charged monthly. I never used their service. Billing doesn't respond to email. If you call sales they answer say they are remotely working and can't assist or contact anyone. Scam

    A rabit hole of a fake app or website made to entice you to buy a subscription to be able to send a fax from your phone. Problem is you can't get help by phone, by chat bot, or email. They have your credit card info. and the three day trial period is over, they can charge monthly fees. I am having to cancel my debit card because of this company and their My fax.com scheme. No one will help me close my account!

    Fraudulent and scammers, steals your information and continue to charge. We have made multiple complaints and have asked for cancelation to no avail. The customer service representative advertising laughed and hung up. Fraudulent scammers, this is a criminal enterprise.
