1 starAccount was paused after I paid 2 years ago. My account is still paused. After contacting customer support all they will say is email security. Ive emailed them plenty and never received a helpful response. This company is a scam! I need to view properties as of now but cantRently.com

1 starWorking with Rently was a disaster start to finish. Paid for a membership and a lockbox- there were no instructions and terrible support to get it set up. Cancelled the service and it took two months of at least a dozen emails and several phone calls to get any type of refund. Its hard to decipher where the incompetence ends and the unscrupulousness begins. After two months they decided their policy would only allow a partial refund that had to be paid via a check. Absolutely would not recommend and if the $ amount was higher Id be taking additional action to recoup the money.Rently.com

They obfuscate this only until after an extremely invasive sign up process in which you photo the front and back of your ID card, take videos of your face, and provide plenty of personal information. In order to provide best services, the Rently app does charge a small fee similar to other apps. Best in class services include but are not limited to self guided touring. Self guided touring has many benefits including increased showing flexibility and zero added pressure of an agent. Additionally, our thorough identity verification process provides top tier renter and owner safety/security.
Despite the above benefits, we recognize some Renters may prefer agent led touring without verifying their identity. Fortunately, numerous properties offer agent led touring free of charge! DO NOT DO ANY RENTAL SELF-TOURS WITH THIS COMPANY.I toured a home a week ago and this company required me not only to pay them to tour the home and provide pictures of my drivers license, but also required me to take photos of my face, front and both sides, with their app. I had to give them my date of birth, address, credit card information, biometrics, email address and more. A week after the tour I requested all my data to be deleted and they denied my request under **** premises: The **** allows Rently to deny a deletion request made under the Act if maintaining your personal information is necessary to detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for that activity. They gave me no timeline of when my data is going to be deleted even though my business with them has been terminated and they only deleted my account.Rently.com

For example, we may need to collect such information to provide you with further services or to answer or forward any requests or inquiries. We collect personal information in the following instances:
1) Directly from you when you provide it to us.
2) Automatically as you navigate through the Website and use the Services. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies.
3) From third parties, for example, our business partners and service providers.

1 starIf I could give no stars I would. The customer service at this place is trash. Today a man that works for Rently told me to shut up and listen to him. His exact words. I have never been so disrespected. I will NEVER do any kind of business with this company. And I paid this company so I could tour a rental property. Paid for the service and setup several tours mind you we live in ****** and flew to ******* only to be locked out when we arrived then they flagged us for some odd reason didnt even get to see any of the units we chose to tour useless customer service as well now I have to file a charge back with my bank for a refund please please please do not use this company if you plan on touring properties absolutely useless and wasted a lot of time we didnt haveRently.com
