1 starJust like everyone else, I was scammed because I didn't understand how health insurance worked in the Marketplace. I'm in the process of claiming fraud and disputing all the charges, but they still got all my information. I received Nothing I was promised, including any hard copies of anything. They are impossible to contact, to ask questions or cancel, and the other healthcare plan I "signed up for" in conjunction with this doesn't exist. I couldn't get anything to work, and when I contacted ****** because I couldn't get ahold of UCA, ****** informed me my application didn't exist and that I had gotten scammed.Review fromHeather W

1 starWow. I did not sign up for this. I started getting a recurring bill at the same time as when I signed up for ****************** (an actual health insurance company) during open enrollment- it was described as insurance add on. I feel like an idiot for not noticing sooner. Hoping my bank can refund me for these monthly charges- Im guessing they somehow are stealing peoples credit and/or debit card information when you sign up for insurance. Disgusting.Review fromMike F

1 starI was told this was a legitimate insurance plan and comparable to the **** Select Silver plan through the healthcare marketplace. After going to my dentist I found out it was a discount plan and not in fact insurance. I then was able to reapply and get coverage through the healthcare marketplace. I disputed the charges for *********** with my credit card company and they are giving a credit back to my account thankfully. I hope this company and scam gets shut down soon so others are not paying for something they will not get any benefits from.Review fromTammy D

1 starThis is not insurance. I retired as an RN and questioned and questioned person selling me insurance. Man on phone assured me great insurance plan and even said it is what he had his parents purchase. I specifically asked about ER, testings and hospitalization. Again, he reassured me all things covered. Then my husband had a stroke, and come to find out NO ONE has ever heard of this insurance and now we are faced with over $ ********* hospital bill. When I called continental, lady on phone said they discounted his bill $12.00. Really?? I would hope no o e else has to learn the hard way as we did CONTINENTAL CARE UC IS NOT INSURANCE.IT IS A SCAM, not sure who or what they have done with my monthly payment, but they have not helped me in anyway!Review fromJoel B

1 starScam. I spoke with an agent with United Caring Association (***).He asked me the standard questions for an Obamacare application and came to the conclusion that the best choice for me would be the ******************** ******** plan for $135/month.He told me that all I had to do was sign a form Id be getting via email, make the first payment, and Id be set up with that plan and no further action would be needed on my part.Such a relief! After doing all those things,I signed into my new *** account and was immediately presented with a disclaimer indicating *** provides access to tele-mental health services and will give a 5% - 65% reimbursement for dental and vision services but does NOT provide medical coverage of any kind. That seemed weird but, based on what the agent told me, my Obamacare plan would be listed in my profile. So I clicked Agree to that disclaimer and checked my profile. There was NO medical coverage because, as it turns out, I was NOT being set up with a healthcare plan.In fact, I was being sold a useless set of services that would cost me $135 per month to maintain.I emailed their support and told them I wanted an immediate refund of the first payment. Shortly after,I received a response saying that my membership had been canceled and a refund would be issued, and it was. Thats the primary way that they maintain a semblance of legitimacy:when they get caught, they refund. Crucially, though, they only refund the last months payment.Theyre banking on the fact that most people wont realize that they havent purchased medical coverage until several months have gone by. The *** will refund the last months payment and ONLY the last months payment. They keep the money from ALL the other months when their victim thought they were getting medical coverage. Thats the wretched way they make their money. They do not care about the lies theyre telling or the lives theyre ruining. This is the sort of business model that sociopaths concoct.Review fromJacquelynn A.

1 starSo I have been looking for health insurance. I recently stopped teaching, and that decision also meant that I would lose my insurance. Insurance confuses me- I keep looking at plans, but there is so much vocabulary that is confusing. I keep researching, comparing, reading for days. I find a link that says they will help you find Insurance- I give them my number . I get a call- it all sounds incredibly legit. I ask all the questions - I mean ALL
I tell her that I live with my husband and tell her what our income is
She gives me high quotes
I tell her what my single income is and she starts quoting from that. I even ask her if that is legal not to use my husbands income.
She says it is fine. I do not know insurance laws, so I say ok. I should have known it was a scam when I first started talking to her and she asked me how much I wanted to pay a month for insurance? Looking back, that was a red flag. I told her three times that it would depend on what was covered, but she insisted that I tell her an amount. Hmm
Another red flag was when I told her that I needed to talk it over with my husband and she said that the insurance price could change in the next 30 minutes. Hmm
I ask about deductibles, in network, out of network, mental health, specialists, pre- existing conditions, limits, medications, alternative care, telecare- AND I get answers that make sense!
I was told that I would pay 236.85 a month.
With this plan I would get the following:
My deductible would be $550.00
After that everything would be paid 100 percent
It included telecare
Mental health
Prescriptions
Chiropractor
Preventive was FREE
No limits
Functional medicine was not covered
I mean I asked a lot of questions
And I still am just amazed how the lady acted like she was looking forward answers to my questions ( part of the scam)
I then start getting these electronic forms , and I am reading them and the lady says you are going to get a hard copy in the mail.

Took my credit card info in order to sign me up. Tried to call and leave a message after hours and there was no answering machine. The domain name in the confirmation email I received was from a non-existing website. My confirmation email didn't include my contract.I just... had the heebie jeebies. When I finally got my contract and the proper company name, a quick search brought me here and I was immediately on the phone to cancel, which they say you have 30 days to do. The rep encouraged me to call them back if I did not get my refund within five business days... which is scary enough all by itself.Buyer beware.Unified Caring Association

I explained to the guy we were looking for a major medical plan which is not what we got! now Im Out $479.90 Nope wasted my time and money. Ill be disputing the charge and looking into Filing a fraudulent negligence asking for the call to be pulled since everything is recorded. 1 starWhew.....I didn't pay or sign off on this travesty. However, they di get my card number and social security number. I'm so upset. I Knew I shouldn't have accepted a random call. But I added myself to a random list, which I thought was for only Cigna. These UCA thieves sold me on the fact this was Obamacare and that I would be getting Oscar ****** insurance for a discount. when I started questioning them about why this wasn't on the Marketplace they gave me this excuse that it was on debtcoverdnj.gov. LIES!!!! The page doesn't exist. When I started questioning that this could be a fraud AGENT OF RECORD: ***********************, Agent License Number: ******* (**) started getting annoyed. Then when I said I asked what was UCA he said that was the portion of the insurance that was covered by the government. Then when I said I wasn't interested. He hung up abruptly - which confirmed this was a scam. These people need to be a shame of themselves and have their licenses removed.Review fromJanet W.

Totally Scam! I have no idea how they were able to access my bank account but they did. I never talked to anyone from they nor gave them authorization to remove this money as I already have insurance. I had to call my bank, they are opening an investigation on this company as fraudulent charges and stopping my card and reissuing a new one. This is why it is important to check your bank account often.Unified Caring Association
