    I've tried to cancel my home warranty service. I sent several emails notices of cancellation no reply and calling is iffy on whether out not you can reach someone. When I do manage to get a person they say we will give you a call back or call back in ***** minutes and then a certain person can help you. When I do call back they say oh no we can't help. They are giving the run around when I want to stop my home warranty with them. It's not hard to transfer a phone to the correct department or maybe actually have the correct number listed on the website. Also the call back number they left my voicemail is to someone's personal cell number.

    This company scammed me and coerced me into paying $295 deposit for a scam home warranty agreement. They sent a Final Notice letter, which is attached.They got my credit card details and charged $295 for deposit which I since disputed with my Bank.Company tried to bill my card monthly but this was blocked. They even tried to convince my wife to pay, but she refused. They did not get my voice confirmation for the monthly payments so what they are doing is completely illegal. This is a complete fraud. They need to refund the $295, cancel the contract and stop contacting me immediately.

    Home Warranty Services mailed a letter claiming to be **** Home Buyers Warranty which is whom my home insurance is currently through. The cover page was a copy of **** Home Buyers Warranty advertisement for my current insurance coverage. The second page was Home Warranty Services information claiming that my insurance was expired and needed to be renewed. So I called the number that i thought was my insurance in order to renew coverage but the number I called ended up being the fraudulent number, **************, which is the number for Home Warranty Services. Upon answering the phone, they claimed to be **** Home Buyers Warranty. On that note, I set up what I thought was a new policy for my home with a deposit of $295.00 and an 18 month agreement for $276.00/ month. The $295.00 was withdrawn from my bank account. After setting up the coverage, I totaled up the policy and realized that the amount did not add up with my previous policy i had. I called the actual **** Home Buyers Warranty to check to make sure that it was them and they said that it was not them and whoever I had talked to was not who I thought. Also **** said that my coverage had not yet expired until the 11th of October. I went to my bank to cancel the payments and the lady at the bank had done some research and said that Home Warranty Services had many claims against them in relation to the same issue that happened to me. She said that I need to file a complaint through The Better Business Bureau to fix the matter.

    Home Warranty Services sent me a Final Notice Letter on 9/13/2023 stating Immediate Response To This Notice Requied. It listed a lender info as a credit union which I do not have any acounts with and listed a customer ID number, which is non existent. The letter stated that the property's home warranty secured by the credit union is expiring or has already expired. The letter states to call immediately to activate a warranty and this will be a final attempt. Everything in the letter is false and is obviously a scam to scare people to purchase a home warranty through this company. I have never had a home warranty or any loan with this credit union. I do not wish to ever be contacted by this company again.

    For several months, a company known as "Home Warranty Services" has been sending us a notification that our warranty on our home is about to expire, harassing ** with a "Final Notice." The house we reside in has never had a warranty because the house is nearly 100 years old. The recipient name is someone who has not resided in this home for almost 40 years. This is causing my very ill and elderly father a great deal of stress.

    This company home warranty service ..first charged me double on the monthly installment plan when to begin on contract .which I did not agreeed upon they said they would send me via postal mail a check for the mistake they made ..for the difference that was 1 month ago and still nothing so I cancelled on my end the account they were going to use .. so Ive been checking if they canceled and they havent ..and also after further reviews from customers that have been used by these people I feel I should end the contract without haste..the company that is handling the account or payment plan agreement Mepco has also been informed ..and I informed them that cancelled I would like the BBB to inform HWS not to send any more letters to scare me in thinking I have to have home warranty services in my state Virginia its not mandatory to have home warranty services!

    I had a home built by Pulte 5 years ago and earlier in September 2023 I received a Final Notice dated 9/7/23 from Home Warranty Services regarding the warranty on my home. The notice stated I had to respond by 9/22/23. On 9/19/23, when I contacted Home Services Warranty I believed them to be connected with Pulte, and was informed my home qualified for their home warranty service. After the salesman quoted a price and payment plan of $495 down and $400 a month, I explained I was retired, living in a fixed income and could not afford their service. I was told if I did not accept their initial offer, my home address would be red flagged, meaning no total home warranty service would warranty my home. The price was then dropped by over $1,000.00, and the down payment was dropped from $495 to $295 to $100, and then finally $50. I agreed to the $50 down payment, and was given receipt #******. I checked with my bank and discovered they withdrew $50 plus an additional $100. I called the number ***********************(the salesman) provided at ************************) and found out the number does not belong to Home Warranty Services, but another company. My daughter-in-law researched Home Warranty Services and discovered many complaints with this company especially with people trying to contact them, get reimbursements and their being possibly a scamming company. I would like my money reimbursed and this service cancelled.

    These people sold a policy to my 88 year old mother with dementia who responded when she received a letter with FINAL NOTICE typed across the top telling her that a home warranty secured by ***************** was expiring or may have already expired. The letter also stated "extremely urgent & time sensitive". Also stated in bold :FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU. My mom called and they signed her up for a monthly charge to her credit card of $185.00. When I called to explain the situation, I was told...they would need her to cancel it, so I said fine, I conference her in. They said, no the call would have to originate from her phone. Then I said, I'have a POA, so I'll cancel it, and then they said I would have to get a POA notarized and send it to them. I said, I can scan it right now along with my drivers license, and they said no, that won't work either. Finally, out of frustration, I said I would just have the credit card company not pay and they said that would be fine, but they would continue to bill it monthly and ruin her credit! He proceeded to tell me a bunch of other BS, like how her home was at risk, blah, blah, blah. I told him I would file a complaint with the BBB and he said, even ******* the happiest place on earth had complaints on it...what the heck??? He also said that if we went to court, they have a tape of her on a recorded line agreeing to the policy. This was the most unempathetic, unconcerned customer service call I have ever been on. Oh, by the way, he was only following company policy. What a scam!!!Also when I asked about the charged on the credit card saying *****, the guy said it had nothing to do with them, they were just the finance company!!! By the way, there are more similar complaints to mine filed under the ***** company name. Please shut these people down!!! Amount paid is a monthly charge.

    My 94 year old father has been charged $220.06 every month from October of 2022 through June of 2023 by MEPCO and Home Warranty Services. Like many other elderly people, he was given the impression that this was related to his home owners insurance. They would still be charging him if I hadn't taken over his finances and found the monthly charge on his credit card. I cancelled the card and disputed the charge. Who would knowingly pay $220 a month for a home warranty. This practice of tricking older people is outrageous! My father didn't even know what MEPCO was, and he had no paperwork on this warranty contract. They just sent a bill because they didn't couldn't get the last payment on his credit card and charged a $5.00 fee. This was the only way I could even figure our who the contract was with. He received no benefit from this contract as he did not make any claims. If this company wants to be seen as reputable, they would refund all his money. They conned him out of $1981.80.

    02/21/2023 I purchased a home warranty through Home Warranty Services, we discussed where the home is located and that it is a Mobile Home, when I tried to get a repair done, I was informed that they do not cover Mobile Homes. So they told me to cancel and I would get a refund of the $900.00 I had already paid. Well now I cant get anyone on the phone and my refund never came, have left multiple messages to the ************ phone number. Still can not get any help from anyone, I am an 82 year old retired man. I really need my money back to pay for the repairs I need to be done.
