    This is the second unwanted solicitation I received in the mail today from Home Warranty Services. I called their number ************ to tell then once again to please remove my name and home address from their mailing list. The first letter I received was one month ago. The woman answering my call told me they were located in *************, **. Please see the attached letter addressed to me

    HWS outsources to mail houses. These mail houses have many clients in the same space. HWS can guarantee this consumer will no longer receive any mail from HWS. However there are many companies mailing so the consumer could receive mail from other companies and would need to request with them directly to stop correspondence.

     I do NOT accept Home Warranty Services guarantee to remove my name and home address or any other heading such as Current Resident, etc., from their records. This is NOT the first time I have complained about this

    Received notice saying that my home warranty was expiring. I called and was told that it had expired and I needed a new policy. I was told that the new policy was better and I needed to pay a down payment of $295. A booklet would be sent out so I could see what the plan benefits would be. I thought that it was unusual to pay a down payment up front but I was assured that I would receive it back if I didnt keep the policy. I was given 30 days to review/refuse the policy. I was given her direct line and extension if I had any questions. All seemed fine until I received the booklet. In the back of the booklet it had a contract all written out with by phone for my signature. What happened to review the policy before I agreed or refused it. I tried calling the representative but could only leave a message. I left a couple messages that went unanswered before I started calling the other numbers. Whenever I said that I wanted to cancel the policy I was told that someone else would call me back to handle that. My deadline was 8/22/22 and I was getting worried. How was I supposed to cancel the policy and get my down payment back if I couldnt talk to anyone. Finally, one of the representatives on the phone gave me an email to send a direct message to. Of course, when I tried that I received a message that server had an error and couldnt be sent. Im planning on writing a letter and sending that too. Im at my wits end trying to cancel this contract. Im hoping that you can help me get out of this mess. I definitely feel that this company is fraudulent. Its making it impossible to cancel the policy.

    CS has reviewed customer complaint. CS has cancelled the contract per customer request and issued a full refund to the credit card on file. No further action is required at this time.
