After an initial pre qualification approval, I completed an application which was denied. I contacted American Service Pets for an explanation and I was informed that no further information could be provided. I am waiting for my refund and I will not recommend this company .American Service Pets

We'd like to clarify that American Service Pets is a referral company that connects individuals with licensed providers in their respective states. These providers are responsible for determining whether an individual qualifies for an emotional support animal under both state and federal guidelines.
While we facilitate the initial pre-qualification approval and assist with the application process, the final decision regarding eligibility rests with the licensed provider. As such, we do not have access to the specific reasons behind any denial as it's within the provider's purview.

I only contacted this company to get a letter for my landlord. So I can keep my dog.I did it over the phone with a customer ********************** agent. And the price was supposed to be a set price of $98.the agent asked me on the phone. Do you authorize us for this amount? And I said yes,a week or 2 later. I looked in my charges and they charge me $30 more.So I call them and they tell me. The agent should have explain to you that we charge exstra for the training services,they didn't tell me. And I want my money back. won't get your money back she said and I can't speak with a manager. All she could do is cancel the training, so I'm not charged every month.American Service Pets

As discussed, the agent did inform you of the charge for the monthly subscription to **************. It was a 7-day free trial to get you started and then the charge automatically processes. We did stop your subscription , per your request and as I stated on the phone, a refund for the training was issued to you on 01/17/2024. I am very happy with receiving the letter of having my dog be an *** dog.My fur baby and I are so happy with being excepted and can live comfortably in the apartment. It was worth the 30 day wait for the approval from what I understand the *******************. You have to be a patient for 30 days in order to get the approval and I really appreciate everything. For some reason my pup ****** was denied. I dont have a problem with that, I have a problem with still being charge a doctors fee. I have a problem with not being told why we were denied. I went with a more reputable service and was approved.American Service Pets

We do apologize for any inconvenience that the process may have caused you. We do not guaranty that every application is approved, as it is up to the provider to determine whether or not you meet the state and federal guidelines. The providers assess eligibility based on federal and state guidelines through the questionnaire that you complete. If an individual doesn't meet the criteria outlined in these guidelines based on their answers, the provider is obligated to deny them. Regarding the provider fee, this fee covers the administrative cost associated with reviewing each questionnaire to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. Thus, it's non-refundable since it goes towards the time and effort spent on this evaluation, regardless of the outcome. I had my 2 well behaved and potty trained pets approved believing that they would be able to stay in ANY pet friendly hotel and fly for free. I was unaware that Emotional Support Animals DO NOT COUNT in most cases I found out this summer traveling across the US while on medical leave. I haven't tried flying with them yet believing it may also be true with the airlines. Not only that, but I'm being charged $29.99 EVERY MONTH for a membership I was unaware of, and calling the 24/7 365 customer ********************** is only open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday and till 5 on Saturday. The online support (an AI) only offered to put me through if I allowed ANOTHER CHARGE AND MONTHLY FEE!!! I have no idea how to cancel this membership of which I had no knowledge of. If I had known about this, I NEVER would have used them. Maybe it works with folks who are physically handycaped, but you will still be roped into a membership that charges you $29.99. If I cannot reach someone to cancel this, I'm going to be forced into canceling my credit card due to this infuriating issue. On top of all that, the harnesses sent to me for my 2 small dogs, DO NOT FIT right, are really stiff and Extremely uncomfortable for them to wear. My dogs hated the harnesses and it feels almost inhumane to force them to wear. I regret using this company and just pray that no one else falls for what I did. I was also forced to leave a star just to be able to warn others of this misleading company.American Service Pets
