I purchased a coffee table online marked down from ****** to *****. The website offered in store pick up which I took. I got an email confirmation of the order. I told my friend about the great deal and she bought one too. The next day my order was canceled but my friend's was not. Clearly this was a pricing error and World Market did not want to honor the advertised price. I have called many times and asked for a replacement table for the same price. I chose one that retails for the same ****** and asked that it be substituted for the original one which they are claiming is out of stock now. I even offered to pay the shipping fee. This is just wrong- The table I wanted to replace with is called the ****** Round **** and Metal tray top folding coffee table retailing for ****** ( the exact same price as my original selection)Initial Complaint

I purchased a gift card from World Market for $250 for a Christmas gift. My DIL tried to use it for the first time the end of April I believe. It said invalid. I called and spoke with customer service serval times, they issued a new card finally, the new card didn't work either. I called back and asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds on gift cards. I said they sent me two that did not work, escalated it several times and still no fix so either issue a refund or I will let the BBB help me sort it out. He then got a hold of his supervisor supposedly and they issued a refund, said I would have it in 5 days. That was a couple weeks ago. I called back today and they said they will escalate it again and I said no. Fix it now or I am moving forward with a different resolution path and they still have not done anything so I am asking for help in getting my refund.Business Response

I've been trying to unsubscribe from this company's emails (multiple emails daily) and although i have reached out to support as well as tried to unsubscribe to all emails from their unsubscribe link multiple times, i am still receiving emails. This is the second time I wrote this and it got erased. I want my gift cards replaced immediately. I've been in ******* I'm in the military I came back to find my gift cards empty. I called customer service who answers in ************* who are very nasty and they said the money is gone for non use. It is against the consumer law in the ************* to take anybody's gift card money. This law was put in place several years ago just for this reason. I am rejecting this response because: number one the gift cards were canceled for non use. Number two the pictures were sent to the Better Business Bureau already. Front and back of cards. It seems that no one can save anything for a rainy day. The first card number is 6192-2004-7316-6154. This card was given to me from corporate as a courtesy and the amount is $75 given to me on January 14th of 24. Put away for a rainy day. The second card number is 6192-2005-2722-8757. That had under $10 probably $8.95. This card's money has disappeared. Cost Plus Farms these things out to foreign countries. I don't know if anyone took my money and then told me it was not there that is the second thought the first Communication I had was with someone with it South African accent that told me the money was taken from the card for non-use which is illegal in ***************** at this time. Please reinstall my money thank you

Complaint Against: World Market **********, ******* Location Order Date: April 27, 2025 Order Number: *********** Complaint Description:On April 27, 2025, I placed an order online with World Market for the Salina Monochromatic Plastic Slatted Outdoor Armchair Set of 2, selecting in-store pickup at their **********, ******* location. The item was clearly advertised as a set of two chairs. I ordered a quantity of three, expecting to receive a total of six chairs based on the advertised description.Upon arriving for pickup, I was informed that each quantity would only include one chair, not a set of two as advertised. This discrepancy between the online listing and the actual fulfillment is misleading and constitutes false advertising. I provided screenshots confirming that the product was labeled as a "set of 2" for in-store pickup, but the store refused to honor the original terms of the sale.Desired Resolution:I am requesting that World Market honor the terms under which I placed the order by fulfilling three sets (6 chairs total) at the original price I paid. To clarify, the product detail page for the Salina Monochromatic Plastic Slatted Outdoor Armchair does indicate that the chairs are sold individually in-store, and that sets of two are only available for shipping. Since your order was placed for in-store pickup at our **********, ** location, it was fulfilled based on the in-store policy of selling chairs individually.
That said, we understand how the current layout of the product page could have caused confusion, and we agree that this information should be more prominent. Hello! I made a purchase 100$ of strawberry items on Friday April 24th, 2025. I received my order today and all of the items were glass items. Everything came safely and no cracks were noticeable on any of my other items but my strawberry cookie jar came completely broken. The only way that I will want this settled is by receiving a new strawberry cookie jar free of purchase. I was genuinely super excited to receive this product but my excitement went away the moment I saw my cookie jar. I would love to receive a new one, please. On March 12, 2025, I ordered the Modern Slatted Wood Adirondack 3 Piece Outdoor Furniture Set, SKU1091B. I received the order on March 17, 2025. When I unpackaged the table, it was the incorrect item. The incorrect item sent is the ***************, SKU642833, NOT THE ***** INCLUDED IN THE 3 PIECE SET. On March 24, 2025, I placed an order inquiry to get the correct table. **** responded immediately and asked for a picture of the wrong item. I then immediately forwarded the picture. I've received no response ***********, March 26, 2025, I contacted customer service and explained. The representative stated that I would receive a return label for the incorrect item, and a shipping notification for the replacement. The email I received for the incorrect item is wrong. In the email, the item to be returned is the table that belongs with the 3 piece set (THE CORRECT ITEM), and not the incorrect item. It also states I would receive a refund, in which I do not want a refund, nor am I owed a refund. I just want the table that I ordered. I then contacted customer service again, and spoke to a representative who was unruly and very unhelpful. She kept insisting I ordered all of the items separately, and it was not purchased as a 3 piece set. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was placed on hold for 45 minutes, and the phone was disconnected.All in all, I am very upset. I am a frequent shopper at World Market, and have never experienced service such as this. I need something to be done. All I want is the table I purchased within the 3 piece set. Ordered an item online. Received it 03/12/25. It did not work out so I returned it to my closest store on 03/15/25. I had to stand at the counter for 45 minutes while they tried to figure out how to process an online return. They finally let me leave with a hand written confirmation. They never refunded my money. I called their customer service repeatedly over the next two weeks and they went through the whole return information/questions with me each time and said they would process the refund but to this day, they still haven't refunded me. On 3/10 I placed an order for the Espresso Open Weave Rattan light item number #****** On 3/13 my pending charge went to a posted charge and I received a tracking number for the item (see below) However, the tracking number never showed any movement. Only Awaiting Carrier Pick up. I have called twice to get more information or a refund/cancellation and now I tried through the texting customer service option on their website The *** told me that unfortunately since a tracking number has been created that she really couldnt do anything. She told me my only option was to call my bank and dispute the charge. And also told me on her end it showing as pending. Which isnt accurate because it posted to my credit card. ( see pic)She couldnt tell me where my package currently was or an estimated delivery date. Only apologized for the inconvenience. Thirteen days after making an online purchase that stated it was in stock and ready to ship, I still do not have a package or a delivery date. Only a tracking number that shows me absolutely nothing. I really dont think this should be my problem to solve. Where is my item? Shouldnt World Market do the ground work here to find out where it is? They took my money and have not delivered. Why do I now have to spend time calling my bank to dispute a charge? Is that their answer to ***************** I requested a full refund so I can move on and buy a light for my bedroom.
