My website has been closed for almost a year. SSL Guru charged my credit card in September without authorization or notification. The renewal was never set up as a recurring charge. I have reached out to the company multiple times for the charge to be reversed and no one has returned my call. I want the charge reversed and the refund issued.

SSL Guru contacted me when my SSL certificate ************ was about to expire. I hired them for a 1 year service in Nov 2020 to Nov 2021. In Aug 2021, I was charged for the renewal for November. I contacted them for information and requested an invoice, which they did send. I didn't argue because I was planning on renewing the service anyway. This time, I was not planning on renewing the SSL certificate for Nov 2022 as the websites are being shut down. However, in June 2022, they charged me again for my service due to renew in November. 2022. I contacted the person I have been working with who was always very responsive and did not receive a response. I contacted my credit card company to stop payment and sent the 2 invoices (from 2021 and 2022) to show the overlap in the time being charged as I already paid for June-Nov and they are charging me again. It's very clear there is an issue when looking at these invoices. Then today, I received an invoice from 2021 showing as Unpaid when my credit card statement confirms the payment. The issue I have is that this new invoice from 2021 shows different dates from the original invoice from 2021. Clearly this company is running a scam and I want them to stop contacting me and trying to collect money for services already paid. Hiring them was a very bad decision and I wish I had done a ****** search first. Good news is that by them sending me multiple contradicting invoices, it makes my credit card dispute stronger. I just want my service to continue thru Nov 2022 which I paid for and have them never contact me again.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/07/30) */ This company has contacted me and asked me to close this complaint because it is not good for their business. They have no defense for what they did, and just asked that I close this complaint. My request in this complaint was to not have further contact with this company, yet, they continue to call me to ask me to close the complaint. My credit card company issued me a refund and since this company is not going to address their behavior, I will close this complaint just to have this company out of my life. I am sure their fraudulent business practices will continue.

on September 24, 2021 I received a call from a salesperson at SSL Guru. He led me to believe that they were affiliated with my web host, GoDaddy. Based on this I agreed to have them update my SSL certificate. An hour or so later I called GoDaddy just to verify this and was told they were unaffiliated. I called SSL Guru to tell them I no longer needed their service and to request a refund. I was told the refund would be processed. When I didn't receive it some days later, I called again and was told I had missed their three day refund period. On June 27, 2022 SSL Guru again charged my bank account for another *** fee. I opened a ticket with their billing department and requested a refund, letting them know that they had no authorization to charge my account. They said it would take a couple of days to process my request. This is day three and I have heard nothing back from them. I want a full refund of all sums I have paid them, and a letter indicating that they have closed my account and will never charge my bank account again.

was contacted by company about an expiring SSL for my website, they made it sound like they were working with Go Daddy and took my credit card information and charged me $299 for a plan I was already signed up for with Go Daddy. Called back to ask why they contacted me and received nothing but a run around form a guy named ****. Asked for a refund and and was given the run around that I had to go to their website under my account which I didn't have to cancel and get a refund. Well now I'm here making this complaint.
