I placed a pickup order using the IHOP app. When I arrived to pick up the order, there was one employee sitting in the waiting area who stated there weren't any cooks available, and I would be given a refund through the app. I still wanted to eat at IHOP, so I began to place another order, changed the location and selected reorder on the original order since I wanted to order the same items. I arrived at the intended location and was told they couldn't find the order, only to find out that when I pressed reorder, it changed the location back to the location that was closed. I finally placed another order successfully at the new location and was able to get my food. So that was 3 paid orders but only received 1 order of food. I submitted a case and received case number *******. I am owed a refund of $29.63 x2 for a total refund owed of $59.26. I followed up on the case email on 4/17/23, 4/19/23 and 6/15/23. I have paid for services and goods that I have not received. All I want is a refund.Customer Answer

I visited this location on July 3rd, 2023 with my two sons and daughter. The service was horrible. It took over an hour for someone to ask what we wanted to drink, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. We ordered after another half an hour and requested a box for some pancakes that were left over so that my son could eat them the following morning. When he heated them up to eat them he took a bite and felt something hard in his mouth and spit it out. It was a piece of plastic inside of one of the pancakes. On June 16, 2023 my grandson ******************************** graduated from Pre-K at *************************** in ***********, ** (I have photos and video upon request). After the ceremony our family of three (3 - two adults, one child) decided to go out to eat with another family of five (5 three adults and 1 small child). We finally agreed to go to Applebees at Southland located at *********************************************************** / Tel ************** because it was Happy Hour.When we arrived at approximately 3:00 3:15 pm, the female hostess insisted on seating us all together with a 15% surcharge for eight (8) people. We questioned that as there were six (6) adults and two (2) small children. The hostess pointed to a sign on her podium which indicated that the 15% surcharge is Applebees policy. However, as we had just met the other family at the graduation, we requested that the parties be seated separately to avoid the mandatory surcharge. The hostess then told us that in that case we would not be seated near each other; that we would be seated having one group on the far side of the restaurant and the other group on the opposite side. We were hungry, eager to be seated and ready for a Happy Hour cocktail, so, we agreed to the offered option . . . Just then the male Manager (?) came out and stated that even if we were seated as offered, we would still be charged the 15% surcharge. We could not understand why ours was such a difficult and contentious situation. We were simply trying to enjoy this occasion, celebrating this beginning milestone for four-year olds like any other proud family would. Was the situation being blown out of proportion because our group was all Blacks? We declined to be disrespected, treated disparagingly, or be discriminated against and we agreed to patronize Sizzler located at *************************************************************** where we spent at least $150 or more. I have an issue with a recent visit at the ****************** location in ******, **. Our visit was at 5PM on 6/29/2023. This requires immediate attention. I had to omit some details due to this form maximum length. More details available.Now despite what I said earlier, I was the one that wanted to go eat here today because of the Indiana ***** promotion. I'm a huge ****************** fan, so I was really excited to get free tickets. We sit down, the waitress comes over, doesn't introduce herself and is already a bit snotty. She was blonde and white (I'm white too - I'm just trying to describe her). We order our food (I ordered a cheeseburger with no lettuce or tomato) and she didn't write our order down at all. I don't know who that's supposed to impress. Many other issues happen.Anyway I'm starving and it's been at least a half an hour with no food when another girl brings out my cheeseburger. It has lettuce and tomato even though I asked for it to not have lettuce and tomato. So I sent it back.After I send it back, our waitress comes right back with the burger, sticks it in my face and asks me what the problem is. Like SHE was the one mad about this. My mom asked the host/hostess to speak to a manager. My mom, who had been very nice and patient up until this point, told the waitress she wanted more dressing for the salad. The waitress walks away and says "a please and thank you wouldn't hurt!" I mean she was blatantly being rude, but that wasn't ALL she said. As she was walking away she called my mom a c*** I heard it loud and clear. It's not like she said it in a way where she thought I wouldn't hear it. It was obvious.We were fuming. As I was discussing things with my mother, the manager came by and overheard what I was saying to my mother and he started berating ME for MY language. His breath reeked of alcohol. And the waitress was in the back laughing at us. Unbelievable. I was done at this point and we got up and walked out. Absolutely ridiculous.Business Response

6/24/23 3 03pm The receipt says guests: 1, but it was me and my daughter.check #****-2172285 The waiter was ****************** TB#** The first complaint is that my daughter ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. The cost was 17.99.In mulitple other Applebee's, the cost is 9.99.When I asked the waiter he said "These are NY prices" "I can't do anything about the price" ... I responded sir, I lived in NY all of my life. Twenty dollars for mozzarella sticks is atrocious. He said you should have ordered the 2 for Twenty meal instead ... this man never recommended that in the beginning of the meal This is is very bad business, and I will not be going back there and I will be passing that along to friends.Business Response

Me and my 79 year old father went to Applebees by the ***** mall few days ago about 11:30 am. So right when they opened. Their was only 3 other customers in the restaurant. We went there because he lives in a nursing home. He has dementia and fighting cancer and he sees the Applebees commercials on tv a lot and wanted a good steak so we went after his dr ************ So we sat down got our drinks and then we waited for an hour to get our food. Me and my dad didnt mind cause we got to visit and talk so we are usually very understanding. But when we got our food it was ice cold. Like it wasnt defrosted and his steak was cold and not what we thought it would be. The plates were even ice cold. Its a health hazard to serve uncooked food. Especially for my elderly immune compromised father.So we asked if we could get fresh food my chicken was still frozen. After that my dad decided since it was a long wait we should just go and get fast food and go back because he was tired from his treatments. So I went towards the back of the restaurant because no one was anywhere to be seen to try to tell someone Nevermind because I didnt want to just leave without saying anything or without paying for the drinks we received. And thats when I heard one of the managers and our waitress talking. I wasnt trying to eavesdrop they were pretty loud. Basically our waitress said I dont know they want fresh food and the other manager said oh Ill give them fresh food Ill go out there and shove it up their A***s! And other vulgar things. I was shocked and upset and my dad was really upset because all he wanted was a good steak he has been seeing on the commercials and then to get treated like that! It was very uncalled for! I did say something so he knew I heard him and he came out berating me instead of being sorry and lashing insults to me. The other manager asked if we wanted to eat and they would cover it and I said no. That I wanted to hear from someone else higher up.Initial Complaint

There is a gift card from Feeding America with IHOP and 5 other restaurants on it. There isn't a employee or member of Manager at the IHOP location in ******, **. That knows how to use this gift card. The IHOP customer service female employee that I talked to today said " We (meaning IHOP) are not affiliated with this company! So, I said "If IHOP isn't "affiliate" with this company then why is IHOP attached to this gift card.It appears that some of employees at IHOP store and corporate level have completely forgotten about "Putting the customer first!" I order several to go items from the online menu at Ihop on 5/14 in the morning. I picked up my items at the specified location. Realized the order was wrong. I contact the resturant immediately. I was advised a manager will call me that day, if not call tomorrow morning. I called after 10am as advised. I was told the manager wasnt in. For days this same situation occured. Finally, I spoke with a representative but not the manager. She asvised a full refund will be given and she will sxreenshot the receipt to me via text. I never received the text. I called back and spoke with ***** the manager. She was nasty verbally, she degraded her young employees calling them kids and incompetent. She declined giving me a full refund and only compensated me 20 bucks. I told her the corporate office will be called. I called corporate the same-day. I was told someone will follow up. I haven't heard from anyone at Ihop. This all occured within a 2 week time span.Business Response

This location is the worst in ****. We ordered on 06/04/2023 for pick up Classic Benedicts with potatoes, upon arrival and opening the tray, we noticed that instead of English muffins they toasted a regular slice of white bread and put a slice of ham and the egg. Even gave me hash brown instead of the potatoes. When calling and talking to the manager she stated that they have run out of muffins so what happened with letting me know so I can change the order?I only used this location due to being the closest one to me. But thats it. Way too many screwed **** One thing is that if it was first time, but when is more than 5 times alone in the same yearit boils down to poor poor management. We rather go all the way to Frys but for sure they will get my order right. My husband spoke to the manager and mentioned what the situation was and was told that and an e-mail was going to be to the area manager and we would receive a copy around 1 or 2 pm that same day , however as of this morning we haven't gotten any kind of correscponace for a refund.Business Response
