I told them I wanted credit counseling and am disabled. My income is sub poverty. I was worried about my credit score awell. Knowing that they said they offered credit score counseling for $50 either a Month or one time. My income is $933 a month and my credit card minimum payments are around $500 pee month. Then there's food, personal products, household products such as dish pods, rent. Yet they want $50 for something that I can probably do myself. I'm 73, disabled and can't work. Who exactly do they help? People who can pay them such as students who need help with student loan debts and will probably be able to donate to them later. Working adults and retirees who will pay for the debt management services because they will always be able to get new credit cards after they pay off their debt. But for people like me, they don't make money and want money to help me. This is a thirdworld country for low income seniors. My whole life is red tape. It's not my fault that I can't work. And like any third world country, it's nearly impossible to get sufficient assistance. Non profit? Not really. Just the same old thing. We'll help you out if you pay us no matter what your situation. Even if you have no money. It's a for profit with a ***** to help people that offers no help for me. I'm not black and being a senior is not something that elicits help because it's not politically correct to help us if I were black I bet they'd have helped me for free, which is what they advertise. How are they deserving of *****s if they don't treat everyone equally? Just awful.

We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised by Ms. ** regarding the services provided by our organization. We take all feedback seriously and strive to ensure a positive experience for all individuals who seek our assistance. We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to Ms. ** for any confusion caused by the misinformation regarding the costs associated with our credit report review counseling. The associate who spoke with Ms. ** was new to Credit.org, and she was unaware that we discontinued charging for credit report review counseling in 2023. Immediately upon being made aware of Ms. ** experience, one of our senior financial counselors reached out to Ms. * to assist her with her concerns, and to provide the requested counseling. During the call, Ms. ** apologized to the counselor for posting the negative review. She expressed her intention to amend the review, acknowledging her satisfaction with the outcome of the counseling session and our organization. It is important to note that at Credit.org our dedication is to treat all clients with fairness and impartiality, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, or any other characteristic. This is deeply ingrained in our organizational ethos. We firmly believe in the principles of diversity and inclusivity and strive to uphold these values in every facet of our operations. We also want to clarify that our organization operates on a nonprofit basis and receives grants to support our mission of providing assistance and support to individuals facing financial challenges. While we do offer certain services that *** have associated costs, such as debt management plans, we are committed to ensuring accessibility and affordability for all clients. In cases where individuals are unable to afford our services, counselors have the liberty to waive or reduce any associated fees. We appreciate Ms. ** bringing her concerns regarding our organization's services to our attention. Our dedication to ensuring a positive experience for every client is fundamental, and we genuinely value all feedback received.
