      I seen a lot of bad reviews about backwater reptiles I don’t understand any of it everything was great & on time of arrival I ordered an T Blondi tarantula She looks so amazing well packaged heat pad consider I live in Ohio pretty cold here really appreciate that.. I’ll say if your looking for an tarantula or any reptile pull the trigger highly professional highly recommended. You guys will have my service again !

      I recently ordered a Goliath bird eater tarantula. I had the item wait at ups since the weather was cold. I picked up the item in under the 4 hours. When I opened it the poor tarantula was frozen solid. How is there no heat peak or source. Animal was in way to small of a package. She my concern to them with photos. Shocking no response. Very poor packing again no heat pack. I was supposed to be covered by live guarantee because it was under the 4 hour mark. Followed their email to a t. Horrible experience Mike

      I ordered two Emerald ***** lizards with a "100% live arrival guarantee" and both lizards arrived dead the day after they were shipped, and it's no wonder why as they were shipped in a box without any proper ventilation. I met all the Live Arrival Guarantee requirements including the maximum to minimum temperate requirements and they still arrived dead. So much for a 100% live arrival guarantee. At this point, I am suspecting fraud. Merchant claims the reptiles were packaged properly in spite of the fact that the packaging did not include any proper ventilation. Common sense tells you that all mammals need air to breathe and will not survive otherwise, so I see no basis for such a claim as the packaging did NOT include any proper ventilation and was completely sealed with tape. How could they have survived? I would have been surprised if they DID survive considering their irresponsible and inhumane packaging methods. I did my best to revive these creatures by placing them in a shallow bowl of warm water and by placing them in a warm area to no avail. This is inexcusable. I have considered contacting the BBB and the ***** for fraud and animal cruelty.

      So... reading all of these reviews... lol, I have to say... there are some things you just cannot hold a business accountable for. Not every biz is a "Wal-Mart." If the orders get delayed, after shipment, that is the carrier. *he biz can try to make it right, but ultimately they cannot control that. I had an amazing experience. Ordered a Red Kneed Mexican *arantula. Followed the instructions. She arrived at my door the next day (post ship). Ordered MOnday morning, and received it Wednesday. Spot on. Solid packing, the * looked to be in good condition. Good presentation (sealed, creature container, **** etc.) Great experience. Will def. order from them again!

      I received my ball python on Friday as scheduled. It arrived safely and seemed (seems) to be in good health. Gorgeous little snake. My kids and I are very happy.The staff at Backwater reptiles were professional and courteous in communicating with me regarding order and shipping updates. Thank you staff at Backwater Reptiles.

      I ordered three red eyed green tree frogs for my son. They said it would be delivered on a mon (it wasnt). Then they said they would be delivered the following Fri.They arrived late Friday afternoon and all three were dead.We immediately emailed them upon opening the box and finding dead animals and have yet to hear back from them.

      I originally ordered 2 red eared sliders for my pond from backwater reptiles. I fell in love with watching them and subsequently ordered another slider and an eastern painted turtle. The prices were amazing and the turtles were healthy and acclimated immediately. Id read hatchlings may not eat right away but these guys all ate immediately and even bask without much fear. I cant say enough about how pleased I am with my purchase. I plan to expand my pond and create another waterfall for them and add a few more. Backwater reptiles did an amazing job shipping them safely, I received updates from *** the entire time to ensure they spent minimal time in shipping container. I couldnt be more thrilled with with the dedication the company showed in following through on their ship dates and overnighting them to make sure their stress level was minimal. I plan to buy again as soon as I add a couple hundred gallons to my 400 gallon pond.
