      The customer service is disappointing, they are no help when you call. Called to make an online account because it wouldnt let me online. They transferred me 3 times, finally someone said they would create it and send the info and they never did. The text pay only works maybe 20% of the time if Im lucky. No one wants or should have to call every freaking time. Even when theyre paid they will call, ************ you harassing you & lying saying they never received a payment when it clearly comes out of the *********** send the confirmation. These people are ********** really wish I never even got approved or taken this loan. At this point im so fed up id rather it go to collections & eat it. I bet itll be easier to pay to the collections agency then these guys. Im not begging people to take my money & spending hours to make one payment. So annoying & horrible service. Save yourself a headache & skip this company!

      Got a call from Oportun, the Male Voice (Caller ID **************************** xxx-xxxx **************** **. He insisted to talk to me by name but refused to say his name or what the business was. I asked three times what the business was, and each time he asked for me by name but no other information. I finally got him to say that he represents "Opertun" but not what "Opertun" was. After a quick ****** search, I decided to review them on BBB.

      **************** sucks!!! I always get disconnected (accidentally) before my issue is dealt with. So there's never been a successful resolution. Great credit card, but hate the customer service.

      I am so disappointed with the service of Oportun!I applied for a loan from them almost and was approved.That was great! Now the nightmare...After being told my check was dispersed on July 6th, I was told by a customer service agent that I would recieve my check on July 20th at the latest. I didnt recieve my check so I called Oportun to inquire as to why and was told call back on the 21st of July so they could escalate to another department to see why the check hadn't arrived.This was my 3rd call to Oportun as I had already informed them that the mail carrier had already came to my address but did not leave a check.I was told at the time that they would have to possibly cancel that check and send another check and that I would be looking at another 10 days before receiving a check.I told the representative don't cancel that check in case it still mat come.He acknowledged my request, took down information and even verified my address!!I waited a couple of more days, called back because my check still hadn't arrived so after being transferred to 3 different representatives I finally had enough and requested to speak to a Supervisor.I explained my situation and after placing me on hold she returned to tell me that she canceled the first check!!I was lived because I specifically told a prior representative who transferred the call to NOT cancel the check!Well after a bunch of excuses, the Supervisor tells me that I will have a check sent priority mail which I requested earlier with another representative and was told quote we don't do that!!I was even willing to have them take the fee out of the check but amazing, the Supervisor got it handle!Now for the really frustrating part.....I finally recieved a check about 5 days later and in the Priority Mail envelope was on the original check envelope was... Incorrect Address Return To Sender!!! Oportun didn't use MY correct address!!Terrible my first payment is Aug 13th ! Change my payment date!

      ******* The manager of customer service, refused to tell me where I could leave a review and threatened to end the call on me for asking her. This company does not have a mobile app and holds payments for over a week before allowing you to use funds. Their customer service doesnt know how to help people and their systems do not work well. Auto pay does not work even when confirmed by their employees that it is set up correctly. I have had nothing but issues with this company from day on. I am going to close my account and would not recommend anyone to do business with this credit card company.

      WATCH OUT FOR SCAMS. *****, **. They allowed someone to apply for credit in my wife's name. Fortunately, it was denied by the credit company. I'd like to know how someone was able to present the employee with the following documents for a fraudulent loan;"Be prepared to share the following documents:A valid photo ID, such as a drivers license, passport, consular ID card, or a non-U.S. ID card (we accept from most countries)Proof of income, such as current paystubs or current bank statements Verification of address, such as a piece of mail with your name and address (cannot be a PO box)Up to four personal references, which can include friends, family, or employers."

      Bad business. First payment was due the 20th of july 2022. Set it up for july 13th. It double checks account. I've had my account for 15 years. I couldn't have typed it wrong twice. No way. Somehow my account was NOT my account. Payment reversed. Charged late fees. Fixed the odd situation 5 hrs ago. Yet I've gotten calls from them all afternoon while out with my son. Asking me to verify my info. Because interaction earlier this morning was not noted!? Wtf!? I'll pay my balance and cut up the card. Bad card. Bad business.

      The loan document I signed said exactly how much in interest and the principal loan. It only mentions a yearly interest rate. It shows a whole schedule of how payments are applied and what the balance should be after each payment. However, the balance shown does not match what it shows on the schedule and they keep saying something about a daily interest rate. They refuse to accept that they are increasing my amount and keep giving me the runaround. Never borrowing from them again.

      You do NOT want a loan from this place. I borrowed $2,000 that I've been paying on for four months now and I still owe $1,900. I pay $118.00 per month but am charged $1.57 interest per day.Don't be foolish like me, avoid this nightmare!
