We were told many things by this company that were false and misleading. A) That they would negotiate agreements with all creditors once they took over the debt. One year into a 4.5 year program, they have only negotiated agreements with 20%.B) That our credit score would take an initial hit but start to recover in year two if our payments were on time. One year in, only 13% of debt has been resolved, leaving our credit in shambles.C) That after 6-9 months, if payments were on time, we would be offered a loan to consolidate the cost of the program and speed up the resolution of debt. One year in, we have been offered no loan, even though we have made EVERY payment exactly on time.We have called twice now to complain about the misleading information that they used to get us to choose them and have gotten NO help. We want this company to live up to its promises, or we want to communicate throughout the internet, on every venue we can, that the company is dishonest and speaks in half truths or actual lies so that other unsuspecting individuals who have life setbacks that force them to look at options don't get sucked in by their misleading marketing.Business Response

The impact to credit worthiness is clearly disclosed in your enrollment agreement. While past clients have seen improvement to their score, it is important to understand that this program is not credit repair and that is not a guaranteed result of the program.
As you have discussed with account managers, the graduation loan is presented as a possibility, not a guarantee. Beyond Finance can provide milestones that must be met, but does not determine eligibility. I joined Beyond Finance to consolidate my debt and pay off credit cards and small personal loans. I had a very difficult year in 2024 with fraud and identity theft almost being evicted. They are taking way too long and i pay them $200 per month to help me. I have been frustrated with them not paying the cards with small amounts first. For example Macys: $982 due. They are paying tiny amounts stretching to 2027! Are they crazy! I told them today that I'm wanted to review the plan and direct them to pay off the small ones ASAP as I want as its my money and I chose who gets paid first like the small ones. I also said if that isnt changed I would leave their company. Please assist in getting my bills paid and not dragged out. Thank you.Business Response

In August 2024, i signed with Beyond Finance, a debt consolidation service. They set up an account at ********************************* to which the funds raken from my checking account were deposited.Each month beginning in September, twice a month a sum of $344.08 was taken from my checking account. I was also charged monthly service fees totalling $23.70. These fees were deducted from my account. This pattern was followed for October, November and December d So for a total of four months. During that time i did not receive any settlements of my debt. Then on 1/17/2025, the paid $555.48 to one creditor and then on 1/21/2025, they took a fee fot themselves of $2,022.75. They did not pay a secon creditor $50.00 until 1/31/2025. When i saw that settlement fee i decided to explore alternatives. I contacted Clear One Advantage and in May I decided to cancel my account with **********************. I called May ******* and told the representative i was my cancelling account. The said it would be cancelled. However, they paid one creditor $555.48 on May 19, 2025, three days after I said I was cancelling my account. However, on May 22, 2025, they took an additional $344.08 from my checking account which was deposited with ********** ON May 28, 2025, a full 12 days after i had informed them I was cancelling my account. I received an accounting from **********. I had called Beyond Finance on May 27, 2025 to follow up and again on May 28, 2025 and to question why they had withdrawn funds after i told them I was cancelling. A representative from ********* was on the call and she had previously contacted Beyond Finance on my behalf and they confirmed my account was cancelled. There was never any mention of additional settlement fees. I found they had that same day charged another monthly fee of $12.95 as well as additional settlement fees totalling $782.69. Beyond Finance returned only $134.54 to my account. i should get a refund of the additional fees $648.15.IBusiness Response

Review confirmed that your monthly deposit amount was dedicated as established at your time of enrollment. Additionally, your monthly fees were processed in accordance with the expectations set in your enrollment agreement for your CFT and PLP fees.
All fees were earned and collected appropriately and consistently with the expectations set forth during your enrollment interaction, both verbally and in writing.
Review determined that you did not provide full authorization to terminate your program until May 23, 2025. At the time of your requested termination, you were educated about the remaining fees owed and that you would be returned any remaining funds in your dedicated account. These funds were issued on May 30, 2025.

I recently canceled my account with **********************. This program feels like such a scam. The lack of communication is a big factor. The final thing, was most recently with my Discover account. I was issued a summons and Beyond told me to contact a lawyer that would be covered under their program to represent me. I was in contact with the lawyer and signed the paperwork. After approx. a month or so, I was no longer able to get in contact with the lawyer-**** ******** from ****** **. I tried calling, sending emails, and leaving voicemail. When I called to talk with Beyond about this issue this week, I was told that I didnt have legal representation for the account. This totally confused me, as I was under the assurance she was my representative. Another thing is the fact that Beyond always assures customers that if you cancel their program, the money in your dedicated account is always yours. Apparently thats not true because I was told that I could even have to pay additional fees after canceling even though there was a little over 200 dollars in my dedicated account at that time. Prior to canceling, I was working toward paying on the offer received for Synchrony. This is frustrating, as I had paid over 1000 dollars on this account and it was to be settled July 2026. Due to this lack of communication, I would like to be refunded some money that I paid toward this Synchrony account. I think it is only fair to receive a refund. I have waisted a lot of time and money while enrolled in this program and am truly disappointed. As a mother of 3 (twins and a 5 year old) that works full time to make ends meet, it is frustrating to know that I have wasted this money on the program with Beyond.Business Response

Beyond finance, my issue is that I received a summons from court and needed a 20 day response time and they were supposed to help me. They waited45 days and then blamed it on me and now I defaulted in the court and they did nothing.Business Response

When my wife and I signed up, the salesman that we spoke to named ****** told us that we would NOT see any legal action taken after signing with them. Since signing in January we've had TWO civil summons issued against us. My wife had been begging them since February to settle the very same 2 accounts that we received summons for. Also, he told us to stop paying all of our debts, which made us sink even further into the hole! I do not believe that the salesman (they call themselves agents) we spoke with was a financial advisor, so what he did was illegal! On top of this they are trying to convince people they deserve 25% of your total debt as fees when they aren't getting anything done. They settled one account, one of the lowest balances that had no interest! The salesman lied to get us enrolled time after time to which I have that entire conversation recorded. They lie just to get people signed up and give financial advice to potential clients when they are not financial advisors. This company has caused us to have 2 lawsuits and companies harassing us 20 hours out of a 24 hour day because he told us not to pay on our bills anymore. The way they conduct business is positively criminal, they build people up to have false hope that they can climb out of debt with their help, but the entire time they are just putting them deeper into debt and deeper into hopelessness!Business Response

I am a client using Beyond to pay off my debt. Today I called them trying to get my ******* back because a week ago I accepted an offer to pay off a creditor for $******* and I sent the funds in on 5-23-25 to pay it off. On 5/29/25 I found out the offer was declined and when I tried to get my ******* back, they had already taken that money and put it towards the fees I owed and told me if I wanted my money back I would put all my other accounts in Jeopardy. I asked "How does that make sense when these funds were just for an offer I accepted and nothing else. They could not answer that . I then asked, lets pretend I never got an offer and never sent the *******. how would my other accounts be in jeopardy. they could not answer that. So basically, out of fear I told them to just leave the money to go towards my fees so my other accounts would not be in jeopardy. They mad a mistake and took my money and put it towards other stuff before I even agreed to it. I signed up with Beyond Finance to settle 8 accounts. I was set up with bi-weekly payments of $142.41. After two payments, I noticed my balance wasnt $284.82. I called and was told the payments were only for settlements and their fees were already taken care of. I continued, trusting that information.Beyond helped settle 4 of the 8 accountsonly the ones with the lowest balances. I kept getting collection calls on the other 4. Creditors told me Beyond hadnt contacted them. I gave them Beyonds info and forwarded notices, but no action was taken.The last settlement offer was way too high, and when I declined, I was told they couldnt help further and asked if I wanted to remove the account. Feeling stressed, I decided to finish paying off the settled accounts before unenrolling the others.When I finally called to unenroll, I was told I owed $382 and had 3 more payments scheduled. The explanation made no sense, and **** tried to convince me to stay. I offered $200 to settle the balance, but they said Id still need to pay another $182. I declined. I asked to speak to someone higher up or for a corporate number, and was refused both timesonly the regular customer service number was given.I also found out Ive been charged two hidden monthly fees: a BLP fee of $14.95 and a CFT fee of $10.75. These were never explained or disclosed clearly. I requested a breakdown of fees and settlements and have not received anything.Beyond Finance misled me, failed to contact my creditors, and charged hidden fees. I am requesting the $382 balance be waived and a full breakdown of payments and fees be provided. This company should be investigated for deceptive practices. Company has repeatedly refused to remove my personal banking information after closing the account. Each time I speak to a representative they tell me a different time frame or tell me they cannot remove my account. I initially engaged with Beyond Finance in August 2024, making biweekly payments of approximately $388.00. I was informed that the first settlement should occur within three months and advised not to make payments on any accounts. However, by February 2025, I received my first settlement offer, which was originally set at $4,000.00 (I can provide monthly billing statements). Due to accrued finance charges, interest, and late fees, the total debt had risen to approximately $5,500.00 by February 2025. Ultimately, the settlement amount was negotiated to around $3,000.00, yet Beyond Finance charged me over $1,500.00 in fees. As a result, I lost more money than I would have had I originally paid off the debt in August ******* of the end of May 2025, no further settlements have been processed. I was advised that I needed to deposit $5,000.00 into my account to expedite another settlement. When I contacted them again, a different agent accused me of misrepresenting their policy. I have a recorded conversation with the agent confirming my previous discussion. Consequently, I requested that they return the remaining funds in my account, as I decided to pursue alternative debt relief options.Unfortunately, I am now facing legal action due to a mistake on their part, wherein a creditor account was erroneously removed. Beyond Finance alleged that I had requested this removal, despite my clarification that the account was the primary reason for my initial engagement with them, particularly because they failed to honor my activation as an active military member. Despite my objections, they maintained that the request was made by me and assured me that they would process the return of the remaining funds. Several weeks have passed, yet no funds have been received. Upon reviewing my account last week, I discovered that the balance is now zero.Business Response
