On 4/25, I ordered a dumpster for the advertised price of ******. I was told that I would be charged .15 for each pound. They said that they would charge me for a half ton, so the total would be ******, as long as I didnt go over my weight. I agreed and signed the contract, only to receive an additional charge of ****** on 5/22. I called their customer service to resolve the issue. I was told that the extra charge was for the half ton of weight that I was initially charged. I told her that I paid, and I wasnt close to going over my allowed weight. She sent me a copy of the signed contract as if that gave her permission to take my money. She couldnt explain why I had to pay ****** initially when the advertised price was ******. She couldnt explain why I would be charged an extra ****** a month later. I asked to speak with a supervisor for more clarity, but the phone *** claimed that SHE was the supervisor. I rented a dumpster online for 5/5/25-5/8/25 Liberty dumpster. They advertise no hidden fees and a low rate for the 20 yd dumpster. You pay the charge thinking you are done at $339.00. You sign a contract and in very small writing they let you know its per lb. The money you pay is only for the daily rental. They also over weigh claiming the dumpster was twice as heavy. Reviews all said the same thing about the weight. I had simple household items and not 2 tons of things. With the bold letters on their ad said no hidden fees they lead you to believe that. In small writing you end up paying for every lb. The result was an additional $780.00. They advertise a trust pilot score of 5 stars. When you go to the trust pilot site they have all negative reviews and the rating is 2.3 stars . Every complaint from ***** customers says the same thing. Overweight and They mislead you and then you get a large charge on your card. I ended up paying at least twice as much as I would have with a local dumpster in **********. The fact they have so many complaints says to me I am not alone. I should be refunded the second charge of $768.87 as I already paid $339.00 and they mislead everyone to think that is the charge.Initial Complaint

The company previously charged me for a total fee for the service on March 31 2025 for $410. On April 23rd I received another unauthorized charge of my ACH without my knowledge from the same company for $398. Found this company online and initially set up the drop off and pick up of the dumpster online. Then they sent me an email that said I had to sign an agreement **** in order to get the dumpster sent on the day I needed it. After reading many complaints, thats one of the tactics they use to get you to sign **** so you dont read the contract. Its definitely a bait and switch company and they also overcharge on the $.15 per pound. What I put in the dumpster could never weigh the amount what they charge additionally. I have asked numerous times through text messages for an invoice and a picture of the scale to show what the weight was as I donot believe what they tell me. This company has 53 complaints in the last three years, showing me that they are very bad at what they do. We had a contract which had a drop off date and a pick up date and they failed to pick up the dumpster on the pick up date, causing us not to be able to put the property back on for sale. I ordered a 2 day rental for the 30 yard dumpster ***** Liberty Dumpster. The order summary was a total of $314.78- the dumpster cost; Kansas City fee; Environmental Regulatory Fee; Fuel Recovery fee; and a $20/day charge. After reviewing the terms and conditions and being happy with the price, I submitted the order. The following day, I got a link to an online signing room for a credit/debit card authorization form. I signed the document as I figured it was just a formal version of the order summary and conditions I agreed to the previous day. I didnt read through the contract as I was busy at work and had no reason to suspect any changes. $314.78 was charged to my credit card and the dumpster was delivered and picked up with no issues. Today, a month after the dumpster order, liberty dumpster sent me an invoice charging me an extra $695.34. This invoice includes a $20 Kansas City day rental; a liberty *********** processing fee of $25; and a minimum weight 2 tons @ $.15 for $600. That brought the grand total up to $1,009.13 for a two day dumpster rental! This came as an absolute surprise and shock, as the dumpster wasnt overweight and I didnt add prohibited items. I now realize that the credit/debit card authorization form they had me sign later sneakily detailed extra fees which were not detailed in the original ******************* The only line in the original ****************** that implies extra fees for the load are as follows The price per pound, ******************************************* the item description. Customer agrees to pay for all tonnage fees, a $25 over tonnage processing fee, and to take full responsibility for the contents of the dumpster The form they sent a day later snuck in the minimum 2 tons @ .15 cents. This was deception and a lack of upfront honesty.Liberty dumpster is offering me a 10% discount if I pay the bill today. Date of transaction was on October 3, 2024 10 yard dumpster to be delivered to the stated address for Monday, October 7, 2024. The placement was to be put into my driveway around 7:00 am. My daughter moved the vehicle from the driveway at 6:00 am. The dumpster never came and I was in the middle of making preparations for my husband's military funeral and burial with honors. Also I am/still is grieving for the loss of my four sons one of whom I lost less than a year ago. I wanted to get rid of unnecessary items out of the home to make room for family members who were making the trek to ****. I even mentioned it to my neighbor ***** to make him aware of the dumpster that was suppose to come on Monday, the morning of October 7, 2024. On that day, it have not arrived my daughter and grandson tried making multiple calls to the Liberty Dumpster **** to acquire about it. My time was limited because I had a meeting with the funeral home and the ******************** about my husband and also making preparations for family members and friends. I called the number of ************ which is logged into my daughter's cellphone four times. When I finally gotten in contact with Liberty Dumpster the receptionist said that they do not know when the container will be out to the property when I was assured that it will be in the morning. Later on that day, I requested to whom should I talk to about my refund because the dumpster was a "no show" She given me the number to the third party who was bringing the dumpster. I called the number that was given to me which is ************. The gentleman whom my daughter talked to said that he was going to cancel the dumpster for me. I was still charged with the bill and had to put in a dispute with my bank which they ruled in my favor. Now I just received a letter stating that Liberty Dumpster **** will take action against me. I want to report fraud on my account. on January 16, 2025, I contacted Liberty Dumpster Rental Inc. I needed to rent a dumpster. When I called, I spoke to ******. She explained the process. I was going to rent a 10-yard dumpster from January 20th thru January 23rd. The total amount was ****** dollars. That was the total and final price that was agreed upon. No additional charges were discussed. I was not informed about additional charges that I was going to be charged. I was not informed of a 0.12 cent weight charge or charges for beds and TVs. I did NOT dispose of any beds or TVs. I sold the bed and the ***** received an email stating I was going to be charged 0.15 cents per pound not 0.12 cents. And I owe ****** dollars. They took this money without my consent out of my account. She sent me a screen shot of something that was not in the original contract that I did not sign. I believe it was forged and added. I immediately called them, and I was transferred to customer service which was overseas. I explained to her the situation she laughed and said, you signed a contract! I did not sign or agree to any additional charges than the ******. I asked her what the weight of the dumpster was she could not and would not give me the answer. I asked her where the dumpster was dropped off at. I wanted to call them to confirm the weight of the dumpster she could not and would not give me the answer to the location of the dumpster. I have the right to know what landfilled the dumpster was dropped off at and the weight of the dumpster. I cannot be charged if there is no proof of the weight of the dumpster or a receipt. And being accused and charged of disposing of beds and TVs that was not disposed of. I agreed to the charge of ****** and I paid it in full. I was charged false charges. My signature was forged. They could not and would not provide proof of the weight or the location of the dumpster. I am requesting a full refund of ****** dollars.Initial Complaint

On December 13th, I searched for "cheap dumpster rentals" and came across Liberty Dumpster Rental. When I called to arrange my rental, the ***resentative, ***** quoted me a price of $266.30 for a rental from December 20th to December 23rd. I informed the ***resentative that the dumpster was needed for a residential construction project and asked if there were any dumping restrictions, to which she ***lied there were none. I ***eatedly asked if there would be any additional fees beyond the quoted price of $266.30, and she assured me there would not be.However, on January 16th, I received a bill for $2,259.58. When I inquired about these hidden fees, they responded that I had signed a contract for weight fees and that their ***resentative had informed me of the charges. When I scheduled the dumpster rental, the *** sent a contract to my email while I was on the phone with her and said the contract entailed what she covered on the phone and that I needed to sign it to confirm the rental. I quickly signed it, only to find out the contract contained fees that were not clearly disclosed or explained by the *** ******** I am seeking the company to take accountability for the mis***resentation of rental prices and consider my bill paid in full, as this is what was communicated to me when I scheduled the dumpster rental.Initial Complaint

I was looking for a dumpster rental for a project. I seen that liberty dumpster was advertising dumpsters for prices significantly lower than competitors. I had a budget that I was trying to stay within so their pricing was under $250 as advertised. That sounded great. I paid that amount the dumpster was picked up and then within days, I was charged about $700 to $800 more than I expected. I had made another payment of $200 towards the balance because I felt pressured and forced by their agents but honestly I feel mislead and that their advertising is deceptive and unfair. If they would have shared the upfront pricing, I would had gone with another agency. Now I feel like Im being harassed and threatened again by their agents.
