I spoke with a rep on the phone and was given a price to move my things. She then sent me a quote. I spoke to her again and said I wasnt willing to pay more based on weight. She said that would be deducted off at the end. I said I dont want any hidden cost. She stated what I paid at the beginning was all I would owe. Dumpster was delivered on 6/24 and damaged rubber flooring in my driveway (sat dumpster on top of it splitting it). was supposed to be picked up on 6/26 according to the contract. The dumpster was picked up on 6/27 and taken to be weighed on 6/28. (It did not go straight to the dump from my property). It poured down rain on 6/27 soaking everything in the dumpster adding extra weight. They're advertising is deceptive, it says affordable dumpster, and listed 215 on website. After you navigate through it went up to ****** after ***** in environment regulatory fees, 6% louisville tax, and ***** in full recovery fees. They sneak in 15 cents per lb in tonnage fees with the contract which I didn't realize as this is not common practice. No were did it say I would have to pay extra fuel recovery or environmental regulatory fees once the dumpster was weighed. After it was weighed, my total increased by *******. Fuel recovery fees went to ******, and environmental regulatory fees went to *****. As of right now that have taken ******* leaving a total of ****** due.Initial Complaint

The dispatcher told me few things only but they don't say they charge for gas $250, extra weight was .17 cents and go up to $750 at the end. It's exaggerated the amount of money just for the smallest dumpster.Initial Complaint

Liberty Dumpster Rental charged me a total of $1,258.74 for a 30 yd dumpster rental that I filled with 3.23 tons of debris in the ******, ** area. After I requested the 30 yd dumpster, the customer "service" representative (Iggy) offered me a "special deal" to provide a 30 yd container for the cost of a 20 yd dumpster. What he didn't tell me was that the 20 yd dumpster "deal" has a ridiculously low weight limit (***** lbs) which would end up costing me hundreds of dollars in 'overtonnage fees' at 12 cents a pound! I contacted them by phone and asked for help to lower this outrageous cost, and I was basically told that I should have read their contract more carefully. They didn't actually deliver or pick up the dumpster, but rather subcontracted that out to a legitimate company that would have only charged me about $536 for the same 30 yd dumpster including up to 4 tons of debris, then overweight charges of only $65 per ton. AND they have already charged me another $1,258.74 for a second dumpster that hasn't yet been picked up and weighed at the disposal facility (See attached picture taken on 6/13 for full container still sitting on my property - on 6/11, they already charged me almost $700 in overtonnage fees for this second container which obviously hasn't yet been weighed at waste disposal facility yet). They included a duplicate copy of the receipt from waste management facility for the one container that was already picked up and weighed.Initial Complaint

On May 13, 2024, i called about renting a 20cubic foot dumpster from liberty dumpster, which ihave now learned is based out of **********, but they have an office on 1921 northwest blvd, *********************, *****. I was pressured into signing their rental agreement, getting multiple texts from them about signing a rental agreement before i could be put on their calender. They stated several times that their were only 2 dumpsters left. I talked to their representative, ******. I scheduled it for the 28th. I signed the agreement and i was immediately charged the $263.02 from them, and then another $449.24 from a company called "DumpStar Rental" at the exact same time. I had only given my card to Liberty dumpster Columbus, over the phone. I called them back the following day after seeing this on my credit card, and told them this was fraud and i wanted to cancel my dumpster and i wanted a refund, because someone used my credit card without authorization. ****** stated it was not them, but i stated i had not given my credit card to anyone else and this was charged at the exact same time. She told me to send a screen shot of the charge. I did. She stated, again, it was not them. I told her i wanted to speak with a manager, she refused. I told her i wanted the managers name, she refused until i had asked 8 times, then gave me the name ******, no last name would be given. I asked to speak to him. She said he would call me back. Someone called while i was teaching and did not leave a voicemail. I then received a text that if i canceled they would charge me a $250 cancel fee, regardless of the fact that that it is more than 2 weeks away, and that my card had been used fraudulently, stating it was not them. They stated it was in the rental agreement. I still have not heard from the manager in person on the phone as of today may 17th 2024. I told them to cancel my order and i would take up the fraud and my refund with my credit card company.Initial Complaint

4/1 an order was placed via phone + a rental agreement signed with Liberty Dumpster for a 4/3 delivery.The morning of 4/3 I asked for a delivery time. After back and forth texts about the time, I received: Message from dispatch "This driveway is in an alley. We do not deliver to alleys." This was not brought up on the call making the dumpster rental, nor was it in the rental agreement. This text message is the first we have been told about not being able to have the dumpster delivered to our driveway bc we have an alleyway. For the dumpster to be delivered in the street, you have to get a permit from the city which can not be done same day. It is also stated in the contract that you have to show the permit for the drop off to occur in the street.After back and forth, a manager told me via text that the driver would wait in the street if we could load it in 15 min. We agreed to this and confirmed it was okay with the city to do without a permit. I asked when the driver would arrive so workers could be prepared, but we never heard back.An hr later, a man arrived with adumpsterand refused to wait for the men to load it.I called right away to speak to office to have them get the man to come back to house for it be loaded. They said they couldnt. I said if a 10 yd could be delivered tomorrow instead, him not returning the same day would be ok.They texted me a bit later saying that 10 yd was not available tomorrow, so I asked for a refund.They told me I would be charged a $250 fee to refusing thedumpster. I called 12+ times, as well as leaving voicemails. I also sent multiple text messages. No response. I was able to get the email for the owner, ****, and got a response. Once I sent him the proof of what happened, he stopped replying. I have called + emailed weekly since his last reply on 4/5.As it stands today, 5/16, we have not received a refund for ordering the dumpster. I Purchased a 20 yard dumpster from Liberty dumpster **** I was told by the rep it was $.15 a pound and addition to the $200 fee for the rolloff. I was told the dumpster filled to the brim with construction debris averages $200 for the weight. I just received a call from liberty dumpster saying I had 3 tons of debris. Im asking for confirmation from the dump for the actual weight amount, as I was lied to by the sales person about how much it would cost for a full rolloff 20 yard with construction debris. I was told to make an $800 payment and that would pay the balance in full. *** received no final invoice confirmation, hung up continually, as a manager, they continually tell me hes out for lunch whether its eight in the morning or in the afternoon. They failed to retrieve their dumpster on time and have been trying for 3 months to make me pay for the extra time and weight of the dumpster. Deceptive practices They sent me an invoice for the dumpster and said it included weight and anything over that weight pay additional per pound.Now they want additional 750 plus and it was only suppose to be the 240 i paid even though they advertised 175 on the website. .December 7,2023 we need dumpsters service make a phone call to ** Liberty dumpster and they estate on a text send to me $175 10 yard dumpster rental and only 0.15 cents per pound. sounds like such good deal , we place order on Thursday 7 for December 8,2023 . spoke to female by the name ****** and ensure me was going to be delivery for the date requested and said something she was going give a $20 discount everything sound like a great deal. but when they send the contract to sign it was electronic i read something saying will pay only .0.15cents per pounds so we knew it was not going to be to much cause debris wasn't too heavy total weight should be like ***** pounds . dumpster was dropped off on 12/08/2023 and was pick up on 12/11/2013 it was their choice not ours after that an invoice was created with exaggerate charges like weight was 3.25 tons and total of $1,411 plus $750 balance with payments plans. first we never ask for payments plan secondly they calling and texting trying to get whole amount pay making offers like if you pay this amounts we will give this discount but is only good for today. have all the messages send and treats on phone conversations . and today 02/15/24 received a phone call from this number ************ saying that we have balance of $750 they will debit $250 each month . so whole total we have paid is $1,211.45... just want clarify that we rented a dumpster for 30 yards with a different company and we only were charged $627 and its was 3.3 this was prior back on november so that right there explains we first timer rented a dumpster for them to try take advantage of us attack you will find proof of the charges .
