1 starThere has been a breach in security with the Petco app!!! I have called 3 times! I keep being told I can not speak to a supervisor bc there isnt one available! Then after them deny my request to speak to a supervisor I asked to speak to another associate, I was then hung up on! They were not even going to tell me about the breach! I guessed it and she confirmed it! I said when were you going to notify customers??!!! This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! This is critical information that was in the app such as address, name, and banking information!!! Yet they are saying I need to wait ***** hours for a supervisor to call me back?! When I asked if they were to going to notify the public I was hung up on! I will keep posting bad reviews for Petco! After I use what is left of my rewards I will never spend another ***** at a Petco!Review fromTy B

1 starI am very disappointed in the way this company allows its employees to disrespect its customers and when you talk with the manager they act like you are bothering them to no end. No one answers the phone (groomers) and they made me feel like they don't like my business because I'm black. I call corporate with no return call now the groomers manager called to tell me I'm not welcome back to this store for grooming because they have to many issues with me wanting VIP SERVICES for my dog? They are very rude at times. The people here seem to be very racist, please don't patronize this business.Review fromSherika S

1 starIf I can give a zero star I will. I have shopped at petco for many many years and bought numerous of pets and habitats for those pets. I purchased them for my son often. They have no liability or accountability for the animals and the foods that they are selling for the pets. I have had several snakes from petco die due to unknown bacterial diseases because they are selling sick pets. Those pets are only live in past a 30 day warranty that they give you. When you call them to consult with them about the live mice that you feed to your snakes they take no accountability for having bacteria and 50 mice that will potentially poison and kill your snake. They also have no accountability when you show concern for your pet showing signs of illness or sickness due to you purchasing from their pet store. They offer no type of reimbursement for a loss of pet or replacement of said pet. They will refer you to a veterinarian that you are required to pay for it out of pocket. It is my belief that they are selling pets that they know are you or sick or filled with bacteria and do not care that you spent hundreds of dollars trying to save your pet . I will never purchase anything from Petco stores again you guys have lost a valuable customer who was shopping their weekly!Review fromCrystal D

1 starOn 7/14/22 a group of 4 went to the Petco in ***********, ** on **********. Store #***. They were researching pet ****************************** They were also helping purchase supplies for a new turtle. They had the option to search food online, but went to the store since they were purchasing too. They arrived at the location at 9:00 am when they opened, but the store was not open. The manager came to the door at 9:15 am to ask them what they were doing. They were a little surprised & let her know that they came to shop & the store is listed at being open at 9:00 am. They then opened the doors. Later in the day I got a phone call from the store stating they don't allow field ****************** is needed from the corporate offices. Individuals coming in who don't buy things mess with the customer counter. She is already having problems & short staffed because of the customer counter so no one can come into the store unless they are buying. I let her know that my students were not on a scheduled field trip today & visited the store on their own as they were also PURCHASING supplies. They stated that the manager followed them around the store harrassing them about what they were doing. Was not helpful to the fact that they were buying supplies too. She actually told me they also came back later in the day with their notebooks, which they did not. That was when they came back to purchase supplies after being harrassed in the morning. In the morning they left due to the harrassment. We are a veterinary technology school that frequents the location for supplies. At this point there is not a single person on our staff that will go to that store anymore. Students are now talking too. The manager told us we should go to PetSmart instead. We will!!! They now lost even more customers for their counter, which might have helped increase their count and hire instead of being short staffed and chasing customers out of the store. 1 starHorrible.I have had multiple issues with Petco. Two were from taking my dog in to have her groomed:On one occasion, I walked into the grooming area to find the groomer forcibly dragging my dog across the floor.The second time she came back with fleas, which I didn't notice right away and when I talked to the store manager he started making accusations and asked why it took so long to call. He said he would check with the groomer and call me back and I never received the call.The next issue was with Repeat Delivery I ordered repeat delivery for some meds for my pet in January, that I never received. When I logged into my account a few weeks after placing the order and not receiving it, the order still said processing. I contacted support via chat to ask that the order be cancelled. I was told that was not possible. I also asked to cancel my repeat delivery as well. The agent said he would take care of it. I copied the text from that Chat and emailed it myself as proof of the request. I never received the medication or a refund.Last month, June 2022, all of a sudden I started receiving the meds from the cancelled repeat delivery . I logged into my account and it clearly shows no orders between Feb and May 2022. I contacted support to ask for a refund and ensure that the repeat delivery had been cancelled. The agent said I could not get a refund and she directed me to the refund policy. I told her that I did not order them and it was Petco's fault that the order was reinstated. She attempted to tell me that she was looking at the previous chat and that it didnt show that I had requested the order be cancelled but I had the chat session myself and it clearly shows I did. I had also logged online to cancel repeat delivery myself, not having confidence in the agent. I was told a refund request was submitted and that I would hear something later today. 1 starOn June 15, 2022, I took Summer, my 60 lb. Goldendoodle, to be washed and groomed at Petcos ********, ********, store. About 30 minutes after I dropped my dog off, I received a phone call from the store informing me that the groomer had nicked or nipped (condition not clearly stated on the phone) the tip of my dogs tail. The store also informed me that they stopped the bleeding, but were taking Summer to the LifeCenter, a local pet hospital, to make sure everything else was okay. My husband and I immediately went to the LifeCenter. There, the doctor informed us that the cut to the tail was on the nerves and there was nothing she could do to save that part of the tail. And therefore, had to amputate it. At the LifeCenter, my husband and I also met with ******* the ****** manager of the Sterling store. On behalf of Petco, he accepted responsibility for the injury and told us that Petco will pay for all the medical expenses related to the injury. My husband and I graciously accepted this offer, but we also asked ****** with a copy of the videotape showing the incident. He agreed to provide us with a copy of the videotape.The next day I called and spoke with ****** the *** store manager, and repeated my request of a copy of the videotape showing when and how the incident occurred. ***** then told me that her supervisor will be calling me. It is now almost a month after the incident and I still have not received the videotape. The store manager and her supervisor has not called to apologize, to ask about ******* recovery, to go over reimbursement related to appts paid by my insurance In early July, I called and filed a complaint with Petcos headquarters. They, too, have not called or checked to see how my dog is doing. I hope Petco will provide a copy of the videotape showing what happened to ******* tail at the Petco Sterling, ********, store. I also hope the supervisor at the store and someone from the ** apologize for the injury incurred.Review fromLois P

1 starManager, ****** told me I had to leave the store and could not buy anything. My dog jumped out of my car and ran into the store. I caught him, and with the help of a groomer put a leash on the dog and I brought him outside. A woman came over and said to me, "There are leash laws. You can't have that dog in here w/o a leash." It wasn't this woman's business, yet the manager did nothing to keep her out of my face. Almost literally. Manager told me I just wanted to argue and she was going to call the police. I told her to go ahead, that I would wait. She never called the police, and I stopped at the police station just to file a complaint. As long as ****** is there, I will no longer shop at Petco. ****** escalated a situation that could have been easily resolved except for her insistence on terrible customer service.
