Over a week to get a prescription. Their system didn't update that the vet team approved it - so the item never got shipped. After 6 online support sessions 5 Phone calls (3+ hours on the phone)My case was escalated to the "escalation team". The guy, ******, was amazing and did everything he could. Assured me that my order will be shipped. Today I write to them no response....no call back no more support. I chat with an agent to tell me the prescription food is out of stock and won't be restocked until 10 business days.I have a senior cat who depends on this food to live. I understand hiccups happen - but you need to do more to work for your patrons.Don't ever shop PetCo.

Extremely rude customer service at ********************** ********** location. I am a regular customer at this location but somehow got assigned a new groomer - Breann for haircut. My wife dropped my dog 15 min later than the scheduled time as she met traffic and had to take detour. She was very rude calling out that she has other dogs to attend as well. Nevertheless she still took my dog in and called me after the bath and blow dry asking me to pick up the dog since she is "Whizing". She handed me the invoice equivalent to a dog hair cut saying I still have to pay for the services, I requested her to consider that this is a very high charge for an incomplete service to which she said these are company charges and that she can waive the charges but I will have to "Find a new Groomer" ?? and further reminded me that how my wife signed the paperwork and it says all in there . She called her manager to speak but kept interjecting with such comments again and again reminding that I should have read this while booking the service. The manager wasn't much help and couldn't see through what the rudness for the regular customer. They no longer are customer service oriented company that I knew off. Going to escalate it to BBB. It's not about the money and charges but how they treat customers. It has been 2 days since my dog hasn't coughed even once, I suspect that the groomer may have mishandled the dog in such a way to make her cough so that she can convince her manager. This is another level of cruelty.

My wife and I stopped at the Hickory, ** Petco to purchase some clothes for our puppy. We were unsure of her size, and specifically asked if there would be a problem exchanging the clothes for a larger size and were told just bring back whatever doesn't fit with the receipt and it would be no problem. Somehow, it was going to cost $30 to exchange the items. Two of the 4 items did cost more for the larger size (~$5 more for one & $6 more for the other). Nobody could explain the other $20, even when I asked TWICE why the first return item was showing up on their register as $0. We ended up just returning the items - for less than we paid, by about $20 - and walked out. Not planning on going back.

We just adopted the dog and tried to establish a solid connection with the well-known ******************** Our dog got all the necessary vaccines and Rescue did everything to keep the dog keep healthy. One thing that we were looking for was a prescription for regular dog health - this is how we came to Petco advertise offering the first free wellness appointment. I called to Petco customer support to confirm that it will be done and booked it through the Petco website. Guess what happen? I was refused in ******* ** ********** because they not doing it. 1) I believe it is happening because of the misleading Petco web page with both types of clinics and there is no way (trust me, I spent time for it) to let people upstairs look at this wrong layout. The customer support people do not understand issue and I do not understand why they refused to transfer me to IT people who understand the question 2) The supervisor in ******* Vet in Petco ****(?) asked me to come early - I did, but show me that they don't give a f.. about their NEVER future customers. She told me they don't care about the situation and sent me to any webpage if I wanted to complain. It should be some effort or suggestion from her side in this situation, isn't it?

In August 2022, Petco had an internal issue where my account was hacked and another account holder was given access to my Paypal account. A charge of ***** was made fraudulently. It has been three weeks and Petco has given me a runaround in terms of a refund, telling me repeatedly that it had been sent but it has not to my Paypal account as that is my only means of payment. I am told 2-3 days before being told that it was sent and there is nothing I can do. They acknowledged this was a fraud but said I must have had a password issue. I explained that I use unique passwords for EVERY account. My Petco account was not used nor was my Paypal hacked, so this makes no sense.

I signed up for repeat delivery for two items back in March. I did a chat at that time to clarify the terms. I just noticed that I did not receive the 35% discount on my first repeat order. From what I understood, the repeat order was the next one after you signed up. Because I signed up for a six month supply of a prescription and my dog's delivery of food, I checked to make sure it applied to both. Now I'm told that you can save a maximum of $20 which they deducted from the (inflated) retail price on a $207 ****. I have a copy of the chat (which includes the terms but mentions nothing about the $20 cap). I explained to the rep I talked to today that if I made these two purchases separately, it would not be a problem, nor was it a problem on the day of purchase so they told me. I had expected the 35% discount on the dog food on my subsequent purchase but didn't notice it hadn't happened until reviewing bills today. A supervisor was supposed to call me back (after I waited 30+ minutes)--of course, it hasn't happened. I am now a former Petco customer and have canceled my repeat orders for the future.

I purchased A NAIL GRINDER for dogs in-store a couple of months ago, but the device malfunctioned after a month and I could not used it anymore (the tip was loose and was falling apart after turning on). When I went back to the store to return it, they said "we cannot accept returns >30 days old".. eventhough I explained it was malfunctioning it should have some kind of warranty because it is an electronic device that is NOT cheap.. ! but they said NO.. when I tried to call the manufacturer on the box it says "that phone # does not exist".. so I called PETCO again (headquarters) and happen to be this is PETCO'S own brand!. and they were giving me a very hard time to had this return/replaced.. finally they said OUR WARRANTY FOR EVERYTHING IS JUST 30 DAYS!.. HOW COME !!!!.. THIS IS A MACHINES.. NOT DISPOSABLE AFTER. A SINGLE USE.. I swore I won't buy again from pETCO.. they should be ashamed of this.. I also posted a formal complaint at BBB for this company who does not know how to treat customers

1.12 out of 5 sounds ****** generous. Not even remotely surprised to see they aren't BBB accredited. I want to start off by saying my local store, the staff is always friendly enough, but customer support? For the love of dog... I would have better luck, and more would be done, if I ran naked in the streets and howling at the moon.I see Petco has some "Vetco" program. Excellent. I (wrongly) assume they're related. They, for all intensive purposes, are not. I go to the mobile clinic, it's fine; my dog got a heartworm test and a vaccine - it was like $80. I ask them before I leave the store how do I go about ordering the prescription online? As they did not have the right Sentinel for my dogs weight class there; to my delight, it "gets added to your Petco account". Great, as smooth a transaction as I hoped it would be. So, so wrong.Next day I order Sentinel. But then my order gets canceled, unbeknownst to me, as the one single email they sent me gets routed into my spam folder. I only found out, five days later, because I went to look for tracking. Order canceled. I look and the prescription is specifically written for "Heartgard" and "NexGard" - the day I went to the clinic I even brought the box of his usual Sentinel with **** spent two hours on the phone. Back and forth. Two hours. Two hours for some lady to tell me"we can't do anything on our end. You have to go back to the vetco clinic" - which, remember, is a mobile one.I go to the next clinic available. Spend way too much time having to explain the situation. They didn't have his heartworm again. So I had to buy a single dose of a heartworm pill for almost triple the price I usually pay. I was there for half an hour dealing with this.I go to order his medication, do you think they fixed it? After all this, the old prescription was canceled and the new one that was uploaded is for Heartgard and Nexgard... Not Sentiel.I complained that day, never heard back. How am I worse off than I was before??
