    I placed an order with this company on July 31, 2022, and apparently they added a "free trial" to my cart, and then charged a subscription fee of $103.31 on August 31, 2022. On my credit card statement the transaction appeared as PDIC Books, and I didn't notice it. When I placed the original order on July 31, I received an email about this order which stated nothing about any trial or subscription, and the next email I received was this morning about the renewal of the subscription. From July 31, 2022, until this morning, I received no correspondence about this. I contacted them this morning and they cancelled the subscription but are refusing to refund what they charged me last August 31. I didn't ask for this subscription and I was not aware of it, I don't even have any product to show for that money. They charged me this amount and I have nothing to show for it. No product. A digital subscription? How do I even access it? I wasn't even aware of it. Below is uploaded the only correspondence I received from them, up until this morning. The email below was sent July 31, 2022.

     We reviewed our Email software and you received the order confirmation of the trial and another confirmation of when the trial charged. Also, we see that you received the login instructions email when the trial was purchased.

     However, please note the issue is simply that we cannot refund anything that has passed 180 days as a limitation of our bank. But, we will not leave you disappointed and we will email you directly to see if there is any alternate solution that we can work with you.

I do not agree with the statement that I received any correspondence from them concerning this purchase but they have taken steps to resolve this matter by refunding the money and I appreciate that much.     Ttransaction occurred on August 21, 2023 @ 3:15 AM Eastern Notification from **************** re: suspicious activity on my *** credit card I contacted *** - the charge was from Puppy Dog Ice Cream for $131.70 Sometime within the last two years I ordered 3 children's books, one order, from this company.They were received.I have not ordered anything from Puppy Dog Ice Cream again.     We apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding that *** have been caused. We checked your case and see that you purchased an annual digital subscription under a 30-day free trial offer along with a set of physical books that you have purchased from us. Once the order is registered, an order confirmation email is sent which gives the complete details of all the items purchased, and a separate email is sent with login instructions and how to access the account. Since the subscription was not canceled within the free trial period it got auto-renewed.

     We always try to support all our customers with any issues they face. We understand that our representative has given a call to you and explained the complete details about the product.

    I have never bought anything from this company and I have a $97 charge on my credit card last month. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company and will get my money back. But, I'm really confused on how they got my numbers.

    The **mpany stole $97.00 from me by making a charge of $97.00 on my credit card without my permission. I **ntacted my CC ** immediately and then called the book **mpany that I did not want anything else from them. I have seen no reason for charge. This started with the purchase o 3 children's books I ordered and paid $27.54 on3/29/23 at that time. On 4/12/23 there was a charge of $97.00 on my ac**unt. 3 different people have told me that they would refund it through my CC card. That is ok, but I have called CC ** and the business several times and it has never been done at this date 8/3/23. I am thinking this is a scam. I would just ask you to review the ** and get my money back. I have told them repeatedly that I did not want their product and the phone calls started as soon as I knew of the charge. $97.00 is a lot of money to me. I do not have any supporting documents as I didn't have a printer at that time.

     The online digital library is a new product that we launched and it is a great product, therefore, we are promoting it for people to try it out. We offer free access to it for a month and customers can cancel it at any time. It is not mandatory to take it, during checkout you can decide if you want to try it or not and always opt-out.

     We see that you reached out to us over the phone support on 07/17/2023 and our customer support team has already explained to you how the subscription was purchased along with the benefits of the same.

     As per your request, our support team went ahead and canceled your subscription, and a refund for this product was issued as well. So here we would request you to contact your bank and share the refund reference number "***********************" to locate the funds.

    After ordering a book 3 years ago, a $3.18 monthly charge began showing on my credit card. Last year, I attempted to stop the charges. Finally, had to cancel my credit card and get a new number. Charges stopped for several months, but now new charges are showing up on my new credit card.

     It appears that you purchased a monthly digital subscription under 30 days free trial offer along with some of our books. Once you purchase this product an order confirmation email is sent and a separate email is sent with login instructions. You can cancel the subscription through our help center at any time you want. Also, every month as soon as the subscription is renewed an order confirmation email to *************************** (**********************).

     We did an investigation and unfortunately, we do not see any email or request sent for subscription cancellation last year. However, we see that you reached out to us through our phone support only on June 19, 2023, regarding subscription cancellation. Please do not worry, as requested your subscription has been canceled and you will not face recurring charges for it. Also, as a customer service gesture, a courtesy refund has been issued.

    I ordered a three book set of religious books from Puppy Dogs and Ice Cream.I received a statement from PayPal on May 7, 2023 indicating that I also purchased additional books and charging me $70.30. On a separate date May 23, **** I was charged additional $104.76 for a trial subscription for a digital subscription that I did not request. I attempted to call this company with a phone number that they provided on their website. They currently dont except phone calls and asked me to register a complaint after setting up an account with them. I provided all information to them with this new account for a full refund For merchandise that I did not request. I have not heard back from them. Their business practices are unacceptable and I need to be refunded my money immediately. And, as per your request, our support team has already canceled your subscription, and a refund for this product was issued.

     Also, we see that you had added additional books to your order unintentionally and our support team has replied with a return process to avail full refund. However, we see that based on your confirmation an alternative option of a 50% refund was processed for the additional books as you wished to keep the same.

    I agree with all the other complaints on this website. I was charged twice for the same purchase of books but it was a low amount so I didn't fight it. BUT then a month later I was randomly charged $103. This company gets your card number then just charges it without your permission with no product attached. Thankfully it was my debit card so I noticed right away and was able to dispute the charge. I had to get a whole new card because of this company. Shame on you!!! Trying to scam parents teaching their children from your books. Shame on you.

    I saw three paperback books that i thought i could share with younger children. The online store was puppy dogs and ice cream. I was charged for two orders of 3 books in each order on April 25 2023. One charge was for $37.52 and a second charge was made on the same date for $30.25. I received these 3 thin paperback books on may 2 2023. My husband was reviewing my statement online and asked me why there were three charges from this company. I was shocked to see a charge on May 9 2023 in the amount of $101.37. I did not sign up for any subscription. I only wanted 3 books. Now i will be returning these three books and demanding a full refund. I have also contacted my credit card company to dispute two of the charges. How dare they take advantage of the elderly? This is a shady company that should be shut down. I and my husband may also forward our complaint to the ********* DA office for investigation. These people are pure and simple scammers.

    Purchased 2 set of books from Pupy Dogs and Ice Cream site (billing is PUPPY DOGS BOOKS) at the cost of $27.01 and $21.06 for my new great grandson, delivered to MO. Books arrived and have no complaint about them. However, viewing my USAA credit card statement, the company not only charged me for those 2 sets but and additional $97.00 (ref. #: 24492153KT9V1NZML). I have no idea what that charge is for. Am retired and living on Social Security and try to be careful what I spend. Have sent email to the company. But, after reading reviews and complaints from other people, there is a problelm.Thank you, *********************
