I found out that Intelius is selling my information without my knowledge or consent and I formally request to remove my data from Intelius and affiliated websites as the self-service suppression tool is not working. Also, I request to not sell the email or any other info I used to contact customer care team regarding this issue.I tried removing my information from Intelius through the suppression tool they direct to but it was impossible as the flow is broken. Per recommendation on screen, I contacted the customer care team and got reply:"Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, we were unable to validate your identity based on the information provided. Please provide full physical addresses that you may have used to help validate your identity. That information will only be used to process your request. Your request to remove your information from the Intelius website, will be applied to the *********** displayed on all people search sites owned by PeopleConnect including ***************, Intelius.com, ******************** and USSearch.com. "So now instead of removing my information, Intelius is asking for more data and already added more of my personal information to their website without my consent just because I have contacted their customer care team - I have never agreed to adding any of my data to their website in the first place and suppression tool kept telling me that my email would be used only for verification purpose and not for anything else which was clearly a lie.I formally request to remove all of my data from Intelius and affiliated websites and I do not consent to adding more of my personal information to Intelius or other PeopleConnect affiliated websites, including the email I have used to contact the customer care team. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Intelius, a company I recently discovered is selling my personal information on their website without my knowledge or consent. I have attempted to use their data suppression tool but it navigated me out of their own website and into a dead-end. Alarmingly, I have discovered two separate profiles about me, with the report ID's for each one being the following: 454e433d-4834-4fce-a067-fd46835e7682 21929ae1-f4c8-4db2-a4ce-dfa0945203ab I kindly request that you assist me in ensuring the following actions are taken by Intelius: 1. There is a charge on my ****** account for $37.94 on Jan 10 2025 and Dec 9 2024 to a company called Intelius even though I have never signed up for an account and have never received any Email from them. I did look at their website once but I absolutely did not subscribe to any of their services. I raised the issue with ****** but they have just closed the case and denied my claim without providing any evidence to me. This appears to be a common outcome from ****** which is very concerning considering the number of complaints I can see online about intelius.Business Response

Intelius is a public records search engine that gathers and displays public records in a clear and informative report. Most memberships function on a subscription model, meaning they renew automatically until the user decides to cancel, as outlined during the registration process. Our billing terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page located at this link: *****************************************, and in our Terms of Use located at this link: ****************************************************;
Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their card, including for the automatic renewal of their membership.
To ensure a thorough investigation of the account in question, ********************** requests that the billed recipient contact us first in the event of proclaimed fraud. Once we confirm this claim, we disable the account, cancel all memberships, and return the last charge to the original payment method.
We have cancelled and refunded this account back to the payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, we have disabled the account to prevent any further access.

I had sent previous notice to Intelius requesting deletion of all personal record in all systems, cancelling all agreements in the event they exist, for the stated reason consent is being revoked for personal data processing. However, on January 19, I found that two of their websites still report personal record as noted in the attached letter. Consent to process such data was never knowingly provided. One website states it reports Government Salaries and that it will not remove personal data because such removal may affect their records. However, they cannot process record without personal consent as their website is not an entity authorized to process personal data for a function of the US Government. An additional website noted in the attached letter posts personal data that I would also like deleted. Previous attempt to contact Intelius, at the ************ address noted on the BBB page, was returned US mail for the reason ***. With consent revoked and contracts cancelled, they have no other legal reason to process personal data. I would like this party to destroy all personal data in all systems, including specific data of two websites noted in the attached letter that were active January 19, 2025. I would also like Intelius to cease processing personal data in any system now and in the future.Business Response

Mr. Schnurrs right to delete request is specific to the ********* that ********************** collects and maintains about its users, such as information users provide to us when they interact with the website or create an account, information regarding user interactions with our website and customer care channels, and traffic data, which includes IP addresses, browser types, and the pages users visit while using our site.
If Mr. ******* is registered as a customer, they will receive an email instructing them to log in to complete their request. If ********* exists for the provided email address and it is not linked to a customer account, an email will be sent containing a link for identity authentication. Upon authentication, an email will be sent to confirm the completion once processed. If ********* for the provided email address is unavailable, an email confirmation will be sent to them. We will still retain member information as required to fight fraud, to enforce our billing agreements, to use as evidence in legal matters, in system backups, or otherwise where necessary and legally permitted.

Our records indicate that Mr. ***** enrolled in the Unlimited Person Report Membership at a promotional rate of $12.55, which reflected a 50% discount on the first month, providing access for a 30-day period.
We have confirmed that Mr. ***** successfully canceled his membership online, and no additional charges will be applied unless another purchase is made through his account. Additionally, a full refund has been issued to the payment method used for enrollment.
