Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against TruthFinder for engaging in deceptive practices that have resulted in an unauthorized charge to my credit card.Recently, I received a phishing email from TruthFinder claiming to offer a 50% discount on their services. Under the impression that this was a legitimate promotion, I clicked the button in the email to find out what that is about. However, this action led to an unintended and unauthorized renewal of my subscription, and my credit card was charged.I had no intention of renewing my subscription or agreeing to any additional charges. The deceptive nature of the email and the subsequent charge is a clear violation of ethical business practices and consumer rights. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue directly with TruthFinder, they have failed to provide a satisfactory resolution or refund.Given these circumstances, I am requesting that TruthFinder issue a full refund for the unauthorized charge. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email for any orders placed on the site.
Please be mindful that we have not located any prior correspondence from ********** to come to a resolution regarding her charges. Further investigation reveals that we provided ********** with a promotional discount on our services, in line with the marketing email she received.
We have confirmed the cancellation of all memberships, refunded ************** account to the original payment method she used for enrollment, and confirmed that there will be no further charges.

If a user completes their initial search inquiry but does not enter their payment information, they will not be charged, and no membership will be created.
In the event of proclaimed fraud, TruthFinder requests the billed recipient contact us first to ensure the account in question is thoroughly investigated. When this claim can be justifiably substantiated, the account in question is disabled from further use, all memberships are cancelled, and the last charge is returned to the payment option used.
