    The site truthfinder.com lists completely inaccurate information regarding me which is slander and damaging to my reputation. It also includes information relative to personal information and assets which poses a safety risk for myself and my family. I have never given consent to any of my information being included on this site. I request that all information listed on TruthFinder.com relative to myself and my family be removed and confirmation sent to me.

    I contacted Truthfinder on or about January the 2nd and I opted out of them putting my information up for sale. I was instructed on how to opt out and I did exactly what they said to do and my information is still on there website. On January 11 I contacted them speaking to a supervisor name ****** and *****. I was told they would remove my information immediately which it still remains on the website. I also let them know I wanted my information removed due to safety reasons and I still havent had any luck with them in removal of my personal information.

    I paid $28 for BOGUS information! I was doing a background check on someone I already know, to test the site. It didnt include ANY up to date, or relevant information. I emailed about a refund immediately after getting the report back and seeing the severe lack of information, but they took nearly TWO weeks to email me back, AFTER I started a dispute with my bank, and sent a condescending and snide reply that did not address anything about a refund, and simply only said from personal experience, I know how difficult charge back disputes can be so I wish you luck. That is so disgusting and rude from a business. I want my money back ASAP and I want to warn others against this disgusting and shady business

    While an inaccurate report is rare, this can occur from time to time. We gather our information from numerous public sources. This information is then uploaded to our database. When you purchase a background report from TruthFinder, we guarantee that we will search every database available to us. However, because we simply display records as they are provided to us, we cannot guarantee the content of the records that *** show up in a final report.

    We apologize to ************ for the email that was sent to her on January 12, 2023, informing her that the account was in dispute with her financial institution and had resulted in a chargeback that was preventing a refund. I can confirm that Ms. ***** TruthFinder account is not in dispute with her financial institution, and we have refunded the credit card used to create the account in the amount of $33.04, and no further charges will be incurred. Both active subscriptions were cancelled online by ************ on December 31, 2022. 

    We also apologize for the negative experience she had with our agent. This is not the kind of experience that we want our valued members to have, and we will follow up to ensure this does not occur in the future.

    Regarding the information ****************** found on our website concerning the government watch list notice. The verbiage in the Did you know? paragraph states that if a name appears on a government watch list sourced from the ****************** or another government agency, the consumer will have access to the details associated with this record. It makes no mention of ****************** being on a federal watch list. This notice lets the consumer know that if the individual theyre looking for is on a government watch list, the report will include information from that record.

    They at truthfinder took $29.89 out of my checking account without my permission on November 14,2022. I have emailed them 10 times and I got no response.

    On Dec. 27, 2022, I sent an email to [email protected] requesting the business to remove my personal information from their website. I have not received any response or action from the company since, and my personal name, age, and past/current cities of residence appear both on Truthfinders site and through Truthfinder advertisements on third party sites (please see attached PDFs). The business has not tried to resolve the problem nor provided any response to my request.I would like my personal information to be removed from their website ASAP and for them to stop advertising my personal information on third party sites. Any help with resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.
