    I have never agreed for this website to have this personal information on me and to which most of it is incorrect. It states I'm on a government watch list which I am not, it says I have a criminal background which I don't. It has addresses I have never lived. I want all my information removed from this site

    I was attempting to read the information they had available on my name since I had opted out of their searches and was still finding they were giving out my private information. On 12-15-2022 I signed up for a trial account for $1.95. Instead, I was charged $30.18. I sent an email to them directly, exxpressing concerns about the charge being innacurate, as well as the fact that I cancelled within 15 minutes of signing up. The information they were reporting on my name was outdated and incorrect, and they had been asked several times before to remove this information. They never responded and that was on 12/15. Its 12/20. Theyre not resopnding to any of my emails, theyre not processing my refund, and I expressed that I did not want their service to continue for a month because their service was beneath my expectations and I wanted a full refund. My nexxt step will be to involve the ************************* as well as the *** and Consumer Affairs. I will not be letting them keep my money for 15 minutes of service that they lied about the price of in the first place. Thats a deceptive bnusiness practice and if they do not refund my money I will be calling my credit card company and disputing there as well.

We have also attempted to authorize a refund to accommodate the request; however, **** has placed a flag on her account that prevents this refund from being authorized. We are working with **** to ensure that both **************** and her financial institution are aware of this declined refund. However, if **** does not authorize the refund, we will be unable to continue processing it. **************** must contact her financial institution for additional information.

    Concerning her personal report being displayed on the TruthFinder website, we were unable to identify a report or validate her identity based on the provided information.

    They're now saying my banking method is rejecting their refund. This was three days ago. I emailed and gave them an alternate payment account, my PayPal, and no one ever responded. So now my refund is conveniently floating through space and Christmas is Sunday this week. Well guess that means my family doesn't get to have Christmas dinner because we aren't rich and 30 dollars could have fed us. This isn't resolved by any means

    My bank account was closed due to a security breach. My entire account was compromised uincluding account and routing numbers, along with my ssn and dob. I wasnt immediately made aware of this and the bank cant open the account up for any reason. *** already requested this and they will continue to kick back the funds. Surely there are cintingencies for this situation as im certain im nbot the obly person in the world to have had this happen.

    For the months of August, September, October and November 2022 (to date) I've been charged a monthly fee of $28.05 for Truthfinder. I did not agree to any monthly charge from them. In an attempt to check into it further, I checked all my accounts and passwords and I do not have a Truthfinder account. I did ask today 12.18.2022 for a password reset from them to further confirm but have not received the reset. I would like a refund for the four months and for December is that gets charged. I never knowingly sign up for any such services. Thank you for your help. I can't include an account number because I don't have one. The charges went on my **** charge card.

    I have never given consent or agreed to any of my information being allowed on these sites. I went to search my name on Truthfinder.com and it had personal asset information of $250,000 listed for both me and my husband for a combined amount of $500,000. This information creates a potential safety risk to my family. I request that all info listed on TruthFinder.com be removed immediately and confirmation sent to me.

    In September 2022, I used a background check online firm Truthfinder to search for my elderly dad who is in his 80s, his phones were not working, and none of my relatives on his side had seen him for months, so I used Truthfinder for that because I felt maybe he was deceased or put in a nursing home, and no one was telling me. That was my only reason for using Truthfinder. Truthfinder had $29.99 for monthly fee and around $4.00 to upload their background check per file. I just used it once to upload one file. I only received one receipt for $4.00 in my email and nothing else, but Truthfinder billed me in September 2022 $50.28 and in November 2022 $50.28. I never received receipts in my email for either of the $50.28. Due to my being very busy, I was not able to check my NBT bank statements until recently. I also had to change my pin in September 2022 because when I paid online for Truthfinder with my debit card, it seemed linked to my home phone and I would receive Spam on my home phone when I was on the Truthfinder website, so I felt that Truthfinder was hacked, and I did not contact them again online. Truthfinder overbilled me around $70.00, as I never stated that I wanted monthly service, and Truthfinder did not contact me by email, and I feel that Truthfinder is hacked somehow, and I was charged for services I did not use or need. NBT Bank could not settle the dispute because of computerization, they just see that I signed up for membership service, but I did not okay monthly billing, and Truthfinder did not contact me about my membership at all. I only used Truthfinder once in early September 2022.

    It is possible that **** has put a stop on the refund except, I have never heard of a debit card company putting a stop to a refund.  I will check with **** this week at the bank to see what they say.  If that is the case then I have to file a BBB complaint against NBT ****.  However, I have never heard of a debit card company refusing a refund, so I am suspicious.  I cannot accept this response for now, due to this reason, but it is possible Truthfinder is being accurate, and I will not know to later this week when I go to the bank.  Since Truthfinder never sent me receipts and billed every two months without my authorization after the first transaction that I did not receive a receipt for either and then doing a two-month billing for services I did not use.  I doubt Truthfinder.  The main problem is that I feel Truthfinder is hacked somewhere, and my receiving spam calls on my home phone due to using my debit card on their website, there is a term for that and the bank clerk knew what it is called.

    I contacted NBT Bank earlier and was told by customer service that they do not reject refunds, and do not reject refunds to old card numbers.  Please note that Truthfinder also did not stipulate the amount of the refund, so it is possible they are not being accurate.  It is possible that Truthfinder is trying to get my new card number to ******* me out of more money.  That *** not be the case, but I just spoke to NBT ********************* earlier today, and they said refunds to old card numbers are processed.  NBT Bank said they are not rejecting refunds to my account.

    I called my financial institution twice, and they said they process refunds on accounts including past accounts.  ******** said there was no refund trying to be posted by Truthfinder.  Truthfinder never gave a date or amount of refund, so I distrust Truthfinder.  If Truthfinder gave a date/time of refund and amount of refund that they tried to post, I could give that information to my bank, but my bank states no refund was posted by Truthfinder.

    My mom believed she was signing up for a one-time payment of $3,99 to access Truthfinder. This was on June 23, 2022. She rarely uses this checking account and I only just realized that the company has been charging her account $28.05 every month since that day. In total, she has been charged, $168.30. She called the company today and asked to have the "subscription" cancelled and was assured it would be. My mother lives on a fixed income and I feel that the entire $168.30 should be refunded to her. In addition, I don't want to see another charge on her bank account for December.

    The transaction occured approimately 10 am EST on 12/1/2022.After verifying the legitimacy of the company on ******* I entered all the requested data. I tried several times to have them send the info, but following directions, nothing happened. I was never sent an acknowledgement of the order, invoice, or payment, although they had that information. I have no idea if any of that info is forthcoming.

    This business allows you to search anyone on the main page and comes up with very good results. But when you go to opt out, meaning have them delete your information and stop you from showing up in searches they use a different search that does not come up with the same results so you cannot opt out and are stuck with extremely personal information being exposed to anyone with $30.

     They removed my information but they did not say if they changed the search on the opt out form part of their website to be the same as the search on the landing page of their website so that other people can opt out the way that they advertise you can opt out. I don't understand how BBB can give this website an A+ if they are blatantly misleading people who want to exercise their rights.
