Transaction April 12, 2024.Their VIP Rewards program advertises 10% off EVERYTHING. That is how they sell the program. When attempting to use my rewards "cash", they no longer apply the 10% off. I called them to bring this issue up to which she stated it's "dynamic pricing", except dynamic pricing has to do with market demands, not removing a rewards discount to penalize you from using your earned rewards cash. It's a dirty practice. I had this issue previously, though they resolved it in store and made the adjustment. There's no longer a store near us, however. They should not advertise 10% off every order, which is contradictory to the policy their representative stated to me over the phone and said it was their "dynamic pricing" which they were trained on and has always ************ policy. I am seeking a $30 adjustment per their advertised 10% off everything / 10% off every order. These are not sale items and would have been eligible otherwise had I not been using my rewards cash as earned from previous purchases. Very dirty business practice.Business Response

Upon review of the details provided by the customer, and research of the customers shopping history, it has been determined that the purchase the customer made on (4/12/24) did include the *** benefits of 10% instant savings, in accordance with the terms and conditions posted here *******************************************************************************,
Within our terms and conditions, our policy clearly states:*** Family 10% **************** You save 10% every day on top of any Rewards Cash you use on purchases of running, walking and fitness shoes, apparel and accessories sold at Road Runner Sports retail stores, website or when ordering over the phone. Some exclusions apply Click here .
Rewards Cash can be used in conjunction with your *** Family 10% Membership Discount, but note that Rewards Cash used will be deducted from the current price of the item(s) prior to applying the *** Discount.
In a good faith effort to resolve this dispute, Road Runner Sports will issue a refund in the amount of $32.69 as a one-time courtesy. This amount represents the difference of discount the customer would have received, if there was no Rewards Cash redemption that occured.
We are confident that this action, along with an explanation will lead to a satisfactory resolution of this dispute and restore faith in Road Runner Sports reputation in business-to-customer relationships.Thank you

Hello, I have tried to reach this business couple of times to cancel my subscription for ROAD RUNNERS SPORTS and they never responded back. They claimed that they call you back, but the call does not go through, unbelievable!! I stayed on the line for more than 30 minutes and nothing!! this is insane. They charged me 50 USD for services I did not authorize on April 7, 2024. The only time I have visited the store is a year ago to buy some shoes in ***********, **. I was never made aware that I was signing up to a VIP program when buying the shoes and that they would be charging me 50 USD per year. I am not interested in the program. I didn't even realize why I had been charged 50 USD until I found multiple customer complaints online about having been signed up to a VIP program without their knowledge. They never answer the phone, so I can't even talk to the business. I find it extremely shady that they have been doing this for years.Business Response

I was charged today for a VIP membership that I cancelled in 2021. I realize looking back at my account that I have been charged each year since then. Calling the *** line is pointless since they never answer. I purchased from them several years ago. I want a refund on this annual "VIP membership" charge that is a whopping $69.99 that I was never aware of and have my account shut down right now. When I signed up in stores on 03/22/2023, I didn't know that they were going to be charging me for a membership especially when the sales associate at the store said that the membership was free. I've been on call for over an hour and I haven't been able to talk to a representative this is just super frustrating and unbelievable that a well-known company can get away with this. On 3/10/2024 I noted that a charge of $69.99 had been made to my checking account for a purchase I did not make at Road Runner Sports. I called my bank to report card fraud, but was told this was actually a recurring charge going back to 2020 (5 annual payment cycles, for a total of $349.95 in charges). The bank placed a stop payment for me, and I called Road Runner Sports (RRS) to find out what this was about. RRS advised this is an annual membership that I am paying for - the hitch is, I never signed up for or agreed to this. They were not able to find an account on file for me. I purchased on pair of shoes at the Corcord, CA location in 2015, and haven't been back since. According to the rep at RRS, when I used a friend's membership phone number to purchase my shoes in 2015, my card info was stored to his file. When his card expired in 2020, they switched to billing mine, instead of contacting him for his new card info. I never authorized this company to take payment from me, but RRS advised this is in my friends "terms and conditions" of his membership, so he should have known. They refunded me for this year only, and advised that they couldn't offer refunds for 2020-2023 since my friend has used some of his membership benefits and there was "no way in the system" to offer the requested refund since benefits had been redeemed. They advised I should take it up my friend to recoup the funds. This feels incredibly fraudulent, and smacks of shady business practices. Warning to anyone that does not have their own membership to not let someone plug in their number so they can collect points for your purchase - you may be on the hook for their membership dues down the line! Will steer clear of Road Runner Sports & tell anyone who will listen to do the same!Business Response
