      Not even a 1 star, unfortunately I can't leave a review with choosing one. Wow, I can not even believe Square is allowed to even remain in business. I received the following email... {just a few paragraphs} 'Our Account Services team has reviewed your account and determined that we are no longer able to support processing your payments. Starting today, your account with Square is deactivated. Any funds currently in your account balance will be held for a period of 90 days, and are due to be released to you within two business days after October 31, 2022. Please be advised that the release date and amount available for release are subject to change based on factors that include receiving additional chargebacks after this notice. In addition, chargeback activity on payments unrelated to these funds will result in additional debits from your linked bank account.' No explanations, not allowed to talk to anyone in their so-called account services department, and basically said to refund my clients. Unprofessional business practices they're forcing me into. I can only imagine clients feeling confident to do further business with me after that. Not to mention, how this is even an allowable business practice for Square? To say I'm ****** is an understatement and they know they have you by the *****. NEVER do business with square.

      I wish I could give zero stars. Been with this terrible company for 4 years and they hold your money after every single sale. Their customer service is completely useless. ********************** will cost your business clients and money.

      Been a Square customer for a few years. Service has worked well. Aside from difficulty of giving them direct feedback (why I'm posting here), my one big complaint so far is on how they recently rolled out Afterpay (buy now, pay later) -- this should have been opt-in by account owners, not enabled by Square with just an email saying you have to go to account settings and disable if you don't want it. Was Square management hoping some of their customers would miss the email notification and unwittingly pay twice the amount in transaction fees? For shame...

      Im only leaving a 1 because I need to make this review. We are all OBVIOUSLY having the same issue with square. Same time same month. Something of STRANGELY wrong here. Its been 2 weeks since my account has been under review. And after PROMISES that it will be complete in 2 days 4 times, I still have not been able to have access to my account. I have talk to about 7 different reps. **** say its suspicious activity but cannot give me any information as to what the activity is. Then today they are closed for the day. On one of their regular business days. This is definitely unacceptable.

      Square froze then deactivated my account . I answered all 15 of their questions honestly. I had to refund my customer $350.00 for ******************** already rendered or Square would finally release it in 120 days. Now I am out $350.00. So wrong of them. I did absolutely nothing wrong. Now I have unusable Square devices that I paid a lot of money for.

      Our artist cooperative gallery has been using Square for years. Suddenly, they added a 2 step verification process for log in. Unfortunately, the number they picked doesn't work. They say they send a text but no text appears. We have spent 3 days trying to get the issue resolved to no avail. We can not get into the app on the business iPad to make future sales nor can we log on to review our account. We were literally told that they "feel our pain" but then nothing happens and we are back to step one. We now need to find a new sales point app and will not be able to make a credit card sale until that is set up.

      customer service is trash no help and they put a hold on my account and wont release my money I have in my account
