  I sell a lot on the theRealReal but I have had a couple of instances where they price my items so low I might as well have given them away. Items that were brand new and still had their original tags on them. No at theRealReal takes accountability for this and it seems there is no way to contact senior management to make them aware of this problem. Very angry about this and very disappointed overall

  Extremely disappointed with the Real real. I have used them for both purchases and consignments but I can tell you, they have no customer service to speak of. I always consign after cleaning amazing and expensive items. The last order I received, the jacket was advertised as a size XS, but it was a size 22! horrible, unwearable. Then the sweater that was advertised as "like new, with tags", was pilled and had a hole in it. very disappointing. I thought after a while I would make more money with my high end items, but they just keep too much money. The shipping fee is $14.99 and if you return something, even if it's their fault, they will charge you a stocking fee. Super disappointed, but I am now using a much better competitor.

  The RealReal is a terrible place to sell. They took a pair of beautiful condition barely used Prada loafers that has many watchers on **** at $350 and they listed it for me. I got a check in the mail for $1 after they sold. I would have literally been better off leaving them on the street for someone. I will not be buying or selling with them again after this.

  Sent in authentic brand new with tags Fendi kids shirt originally priced at over $500 for consignment. They sold it and have sent me $35 check. I immediately told them to take down my other luxury clothing. Their business needs to be shut down. Huge scam!

  The RealReal sent me the wrong item. Now that I've read the reviews here, apparently this is just what they do! They admitted wrong doing, and issued apologies. Mind you, they no longer offer customer service via. telephone, only chat. I have been "chatting" with them for FIVE days.As I was leaving town, I sent them photos of the item that I received and requested an expedited resolution. They did not reach back out to me, not once. It's been five days and I've heard nothing until I asked to speak with a manager today.To resolve the matter, I offered to purchase the wrong item, so that a resolution could be reached. I sent them photos of the item, in the box that it received in, and comparable pricing for the item on other websites. They said they'd "make an exception" and issue a site credit, or refund, BUT that the wrong item had to be mailed to them first. I explained that I am leaving town for two weeks and can't return the item until I get home. I tried to explain that they should have advised me of this FIVE days ago, and now I can't honor their request. I now have $2200 out there, and no resolution. Their manager, *****, proceeded to mock me and disconnected our chat.I understand mistakes happen, but that this is a really big mistake. I feel so frustrated that, as a repeat customer, they won't come to a resolution around this. i should have been advised that I needed to immediately return the wrong item, so that I would have had an opportunity to get my money back. Instead, they issued no communication for days and now I will be out $2200 for approximately six weeks.This is unacceptable, especially since I am trying to be fair and issue monies for what I actually received from them! I don't want them to not have their funds but they seemingly don't care about my funds or my customer experience. Shameful conduct. Stay clear.

  I wish that I checked the Better Business Bureau reviews on The RealReal before I submitted 20 designer items to them. They sent back three and that was fine. But I received $12 for incredibly excellent condition *********************** boots and they discount after a week. I would prefer to donate to a charity, then to have this Group scam consumers and then you have to pay $15 to get your items back. I think we need to have an investigation by the ******* attorney general because they do have a location in *******. Im going to pursue it.

  I purchased a bag listed as very good condition. In fact, the strap on the bag was rigged to appear correct. When the true condition made itself known after I used the bag ONCE, TheRealReal told me they would not provide a refund or even account credit for it. This is fraud. Advertise products correctly. Dont sell broken items without disclosing it. The bag is useless. I lost my money. ****** learned.

  I recently signed up for consignment with The Real Real. The individuals I spoke with stated that I would be communicated the value of the items and would have the option to decide to move forward or not. Not only was I not given an option, but they kept 80% commission. They are not responding to any of my attempts to contact them.

  I ordered clothes and shoes from the Real Real that were worth $500 and the package was stolen. Most companies email you when something has been delivered- not the Real Real. I've been trying to get ahold of them to get a refund, since they insured the package. They have not responded and it's been over a week. Just ghosted. I will never shop with this company ever again.

  I sent The RealReal a pair of Golden Gooses back in November of 2022. I have yet to see a confirmation of them receiving my shoes and seeing them listed in my account. They have taken WEEKS to get back to me and haven't done a single thing. These shoes cost my $500 and they stole them. They are a terrible company to sell your items with. If you want to sell your items, take your stuff somewhere else because this company are thieves!!!!!!
