Background check done by checkr. Said my licence is suspended to which it's not. So door dash fired me. I asked them to fix it and they have not. Its now defamation of character. I purchased a drivers abstract and have sent proof to them and they still refuse to fix it.Business Response

This company is a scam. I paid them a lot of money to perform an employment background check for me. They took my money, said they completed the background check, yet didn't provide me with any information. I reached out to customer service, and they just blew me off. There are so many other good companies doing similar work, please use one of them instead.Business Response

I continue to have something pop up through the 3 credits bureaus about criminal record. I have disclosed a court document that states the facts that it is expunged and over 10yrs ago. so I am asking that you can help me get this removed from my credit and a couple of thing that **** did that was also related.Business Response

I am writing to formally address issues with the handling of my background check report. Checkr has failed to comply with its obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Florida consumer protection laws.Key Issues:Excessive Delays: My background check report has been pending for over six months and canceled four times Why? "problems with my withdrawing my consent in the past" an issue that was clarified already, they even have ran and completed reports for the same company after that, and keep bring up this issue every time just to delay the report cancel it and have me go back to the employer in circles over and over again for no reason.Failure to Provide Documentation: Despite my several written requests, I have not received copies I requested of my past background reports and the consent forms related to them I requested via email.They respond with links to a none existing candidate portal that never works and refuse to email me the information (if you are lucky to get an answer)Unresponsiveness: My repeated phone calls, emails, and written requests for clarification have been ignored, preventing me from disputing errors or resolving the matter.Unprofessionalism: despite all this reports being canceled last year they canceled my report and still provided information to Lyft with out completing my report."Notice of any adverse actions related to the reports." You continue to ignore my requests for copies of my past reports and consent documents because if you send them then you would have no way to keep lying and making up excuses to delay my report.

I have entered all the required information requested of me by checkrz to begin a background report however within minutes of submitting the information it asked me to resubmit my social security number, after triple checking the number I resubmitted it. However once again within minutes it says they were not able to do the background check because something was wrong with my ssn. However they do not mention what was wrong with it at all and now my check is suspended. Using the help report function on their website I reported the error yet I have yet to receive any info or even initial contact from checkr on what or how to fix the issue. I have turned 18 this year and I am trying to get my second job in my life and this is infuriating that I am not able to even get basic info on how to resolve this and their candidate support is only ai automated phone calls, which is to be unfortunatly expected from a company that uses AI to do background checks, an extremely important part of the hiring process that has commonly faced problems.Business Response

You have a faulty vehicle equiment as a moving violation . This was a non moving violation , I have passed multiple background checks with checkr when I lived in **** and you guys can check that it never came up on my driving record as a moving violation in **** , Please take this off my report , it was a fix it ticket over a headlight bulb that was out and I had to pay a fine . Its a non moving violation, failure to remove this will make me get a consumer right attorney in the state of ********** to get this corrected the legal way .Business Response

Records displayed on your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) come directly from the states **************************** (DMV). Paying off fines and tickets or otherwise satisfying a court and/or state *************************** (***) penalty does not always result in the removal of the associated record from your MVR. As long as the record remains on your DMV record, it will be included on your MVR and may be taken into consideration by the company you applied with.
Checkr is not involved in any hiring decisions. The company you applied with independently determines which records it takes into consideration for employment or engagement based on its own requirements. Questions about *** assessments or final decisions to employ or engage can only be answered by the company you have applied with.

11/30/2024 Checkr provided details of events from 28 and 14 years ago. In the state of Nevada Federal Law credit checks and background checks only go back 7 years. I don't trust this company. They are scammers located in **********. I have seen this company on a few do not use websites online. This is the second time they have done this to me. And from what I see on BBB I'm not the only one. They're a third party using old information. And the companies who are using them are not been fair, therefore I feel it's discrimination. They kept blaming it on the employer, but that can't be true because Nevada only goes back 7 years. I did research on the matter. And that they were wrong to do so. They are negative and not accurate. They are there to get paid. They are not good for helping the public gain employment. Please stop them from running background and credit checks. They're are posers. They're in Kahoot with Door Dash. They asked for my SSN and DL numbers over 5x. I believe they're selling my info to other third party company to get paid more money. They're are making easy money off of me and I don't like it. I'm asking all employers who read this to not use Checkr. They're corrupt and misleading to gain a profit. CHECKR was recommended by my payroll service. I already informed them of the poor experience. They have Locked in my payment information with no way to delete it. The **** keep stating via the chat that they have submitted an internal request to cancel my account and I will receive an email. But it never happens and of course, there is no confirmation of the conversation or the request. I have requested this 4 times and it is still not cancelled. They are holding my payment information hostage and I am not comfortable with this poorly run company with many bad reviews having this information stored. I did not approve this. It states next to the payment (that I cannot delete) that I will be charged monthly. I should have no other charges, I already paid for the 1 background check and nowhere when signing up did it say this was a monthly service. But I fear they will continue to charge if they have my card on file. I do not trust them and have no intention to use their services again. No one has completed the request. They responded to one email and then ghosted. The only feature they respond to is the robot chat on their website wherein I get conflicting answers and no support. I want my credit card removed and the account deactivated.Business Response
